Took a day or so to break in with the toe width but after that they were great. Best shoes if owned. On my feet 10-12 hrs a day and feet feel great at the end of the day

Please make a wider width option. Although, the extra length form upsizing did not effect my hiking. I always make sure there is extra room in the toe box for downhill.

I am 5’ 10 “ , 220 I bought this for trail running and I love them. Great support around the ankle, good cushioning and not too heavy for running and light for easy hikes.

I wanted a day trail hiking shoe that had support and cushion as well as being lighter that your typical hiking shoe.

Great hiking boot. I usually wear a hightop and this boot seems to give enough support so far. The material is comfortable, breathable and the color is great, I ordered it in red. The fit is about a half size small. The toe box seems adequate. I am not accustomed to wearing Hoka and it took a little getting used to with the very thick sole but after 2 hike on rigorous terrain they are great. Overall, highly recommended.

After foot surgery I thought I would never hike again. All the boots I tried caused me a lot of pain. Until this boot. I call them my miracle boots. Just returned from an eight day hiking trip in Provence and absolutely no foot pain. Now, as a woman who needs a wide shoe, I purchased these instead of the women's version. Still, very comfortable and totally waterproof. I love my Hokas

Trail and road. Super cushy, lots of support, and light weight! HOKA, keep a line up like the original HOKAS that are super cushy and soft. Bring some more out. Don't change this model... no improvements needed

I bought these to use as a warm season hiking shoe/boot and find myself using them for everything from hiking, trail running, coaching, weekend playing, working in the shop, to even covering my longer runs for the week. These are so comfortable that even when the temperature started to dip I never moved onto my insulated hikers. So incredibly light you will not even notice them as there was no break in period. The only negative would be that there is a bit of stretch in laces and sides that side hilling on steep slopes you will feel a little slip. But no blisters yet on some really rugged terrain and some big runs. Definitely buy these again if they ever wear out.

I've been looking for some time for the ideal winter running shoe and I found it in the Speedgoat Mid WP. I bought these as my winter trail shoe and after four runs totaling over 50 miles in varied conditions, I could not be more impressed. I've been running in Hoka's for several years, I wear a men's 8.5 D, and am aware of the fit characteristics of different models. Depending on trail conditions, I might choose the Speed Instinct, Challanger ATR 4 or the Speedgoat 2, each a little different. Naturally, the Speedgoat Mid WP takes after the latter. I actually think it may be a tad wider across the forefoot which is always welcome. I had concerns about weather to size up or not since I wear Injinji wool toe socks in the winter but the regular 8.5 was spot on. The fit is snug but not tight; The shoe just wraps my foot in comfort. I've given them a pretty fair test in wet, muddy conditions, crossing shallow streams and in sub-freezing temps as low as +8* F in crunchy snow. Not a drop of water has leaked in and I'm impressed with the grip, no need to pull out the Kahtoola's yet on the hilly terrain of NE CT. And, the shoes are warm too paired with the Injinji's. Warm, dry and great grip. I'm so stoked! I think Hoka has pulled it off with this shoe! At first I didn't get why the laces were so long until I had to loosen them up so much to get my foot down into the shoe. Even after double tying them they are still longer than I like. I would trade a few grams of weight for a lace keeper like on the old Stinson Trail. My 8.5's weigh in at 11.4 oz. per shoe. After 50 miles they hardly look broken in. I met a through-hiker earlier this year on the PCT wearing Speedgoat 2's and he was pleased with them. The Mid WP might work even better with the added support but in my home turf of the San Jacinto's, it could be a WARM shoe in summer conditions.

These shoes are like walking on clouds. I wear them mostly to work(clinic based) and they have been amazing. Will be taking them to the canyon next week so that will be a true test. They are kinda goofy looking with the thick sole but they feel too good for me to care.

I'd still like more time and some rough conditions to make sure that water proofing holds up in tough conditions, but so far it is doing what it's supposed to and my feet are staying dry! I definitely notice the extra traction that the Vibram outsole provides compared to a typical Hoka shoe, and while it is a 3/4 top, sometimes I forget and just think I'm wearing normal running shoes, although I'm not wearing these to do any crazy mileage, just 1-2 miles at a time as a coach while at practice/meets in wet conditions.

I run in and around a national forest in NW lower Michigan and coach HS XC here. This shoe is great. Wore it to all of our later XC meets and they kept my feet dry and comfortable. Did a number of speed workouts in them and they were great. I only have two comments: 1.I was wondering about was the stack height. I know it's kind of a HOKA thing, but I feel that if it had more of the stack height of the Tracer, this shoe would be unstoppable! Just my opinion of course. I feel that it would make it more versatile. I love the width of the sole and the whole Vibram touch... that's likely my favorite part of the shoe. 2. I wish there was a finger loop on the heel to help pull these shoes on - they're a little rough to get the foot into at first and a heel loop would solve this issue. Overall, there's a lot of ankle stability, traction, and overall comfort. I even ran an unnoficial 5000m on the home xc course and they did great, especially up the hills. For what it's worth, Coach A.

I am ex pro athlete and I have a lot of issues with my joints. I wore other boots and ended up with incredible pain. I purchased these and while they were in transit, I kinda decided against them. When they showed up I honestly planned on sending them back. I put them on and was amazed. Wore them around the house and was even more amazed. I dont run and decided to go on a run bc I just felt like I could. Decided to keep them and I have worn them every day. Gone on trail runs and wore them to dinner, and even got caught in a crazy rain storm. They are simply amazing. Pain in my foot, hip, and back have gone away. I am very happy and extremely thankful to Hoka. This is my first purchase but it will most certainly not be my last!

I took these shoe on 1-day Half Dome hike and 1-day Mt Whitney. Shoe are very comfortable. NO BLISTERS!! I don't do multiple days hike with a heavier bag, but for short 1-day hike with lighter bag, I would not do with any other shoes.

Great shoe! I have used them for guiding/fly fishing in Yellowstone Park. I have been a guide in MT and in the Park for 23 years. These shoes make for not only a great hiking shoe but a money wading shoe + work well for long treks wet or dry.... Home Run Hoka!

I love these shoes but really wish it was made in a wide. Traction is great and it is a great hiking shoe as well as trail running. Would buy it again but really hope they change how narrow it is.
