I first put them on and they felt great. I wore them to work 2 times and they were wonderful walking shoes, then I went on a 4 mile run and they felt like they promised, very bouncy and took the impact off your joints, Etc but there was absolutely ZERO comfort for your feet and zero cushioning for your ankles, etc..I have very wide feet and of course got a wide, but it felt like they made the ankle part wide too so my foot was all over the place. A few days later I thought I'd give them another chance an went out for 6 miles. My feet were in AGONY really quickly. Felt like the arch part was absolutely digging right into my arches and killing so on top of all the other issues now a few days later my feet are STILL in alot of pain. Great for walking, but that's it an only if u have high arches!

Bondi 5 was the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. I told every person I saw about them the first month I owned them. I was so disappointed with the Bondi 6. It feels like a regular stiff shoe. Please go back to the Bondi 5 sole. The new version is a big letdown.

These shoes are not as good as the Bondi 5, not in material and cushioning in heel.. Cutting back on quality. Not impressed.. need to go back to quality of what made the shoe a all day walking shoe in the heel.

These do not feel like the Bondi 5 for which the Bondi 5 has improved my arch issue that I didn't have to have surgery. Since wearing the Bondi 6 it does not feel comfortable or comparable to the 5. Very disappointing

I am comparing these to my Bondi LTR and Clifton 3. These are not plush. I have heel spurs and plantar fasciitis and my Bondi LTR and Clifton 3 are heaven for my feet. These Bondi 6 do not have the plushness I need. I had to add heel inserts to add extra cushioning in heel. Not sure if all models of Hoka have lost the plush I need.

I really wanted to keep these shoes and use them on my everyday walks and runs. Having try the previous Bondi 5 I was really disappointed to feel the toe box is narrower than the previous version. I don't have a wide foot but it was really challenging to feel comfortable in these shoes. I'll probably try on the Bondi 6 in the men's version to see if the extra width helps. The colors are really nice and it would be great to see more colors in the wider width for the women's shoes as it's currently limited to one or two colors. Overall not really happy with the new design of the shoe and encourage you to try both the wider and the normal with to see if one fits better than the other.

I had surgery for Morton’s Neuroma and these shoes helped tremendously with that pain. I am also prone to shin splints and the thick sole and cushion seemed to have been beneficial for that as well. They are great shoes for everyday use, however, I have a 1/2 marathon coming up and these seem to make my ankles roll and become very sore, with anything more than just daily wear. Have never had ankle issues in the past so feel it must be the shoes. So disappointed because the thick sole and cushion are otherwise wonderful. I do wear custom orthotics with these.

I write this review more as a plea than as a critical review. Please don't hate!! I am a HUGE Hoka fan and have spent thousands at this point on Bondi and Clifton shoes for the last 4 years or so. I literally PREACH these shoes to people. When they announced this shoe I pre-ordered it. I tried the wide and the regular in my size and smaller sizes, to no avail. The heel/ankle is TOO WIDE!!!
This is very subtle and some may not notice it. But if you have thinner ankles or feet, you probably will. I slipped while walking/jogging. Tried inserts. Tried thick socks. Tried the runners knot which nearly choked my foot to keep the shoe on, still slipped. Not just a little bitenough to consciously notice it while moving and to make me feel as though my foot would come out. Also bruised the tops of my feet trying to tie them down tight enough!
I NEVER had this problem in any other Hoka. I was baffled until I held the 5's next to the 6's and looked straight down. There it was. They widened the molding of the shoe in this version around the heel.
This was like a death to me honestly. I am dependent on these plush shoes to keep me active with the feet problems I have, and they allow me to go workout, walk, even run some, keep up with my toddler. I went and bought 3 PAIRS of the 5's from other online stores so I can have them in stock, in the hope that maybe by the time I've gone through those, they will have corrected this issue.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring back the older design. I would pay $200 for a customizable shoe. Pleas Hoka!! Hear my cry!!!

I had purchased 2 pair of the Cliftons which I absolutely love, but decided to try the Bondi's as they purportedly had more cushion. I was disappointed. I get knee pain when I run with these, so i switched back to my old Cliftons, and no problem. I will stick with the Cliftons on my next order, but wont be using the Bondis for marathons, that's for sure.

I loved the Bondi 5 and recommended it to everyone I saw. The Bondi 6 is a disappointment. It seems to not have the same rocker that propelled me forward, lacks bounce and plush cushioning, less shock absorption. Seems like the heal sits lower and requires more work to lift the foot. More narrow toe box. Not that attractive. The Bondi 5 had a boxy look but it worked as a cool factor in terms of appearance. The black color is less black than the Bondi 5. The Bondi 6 cuts corners literally and figuratively. Overall, I no longer feel enthusiastic about Hoka and cannot recommend Bondi 6. Bring back the Bondi 5.

These shoes looked and felt strange. I had a lot of hope for them based on the other reviews but the sole is quite thick which felt weird to walk on and makes the shoes look weird and ugly.

I am so disappointed in the new Bondis. After two miles, the bottoms of my feet were burning. Whatever cushion they had in the old models is gone. Hoka must have jumped on the lightweight bandwagon and left all of us who were looking for comfort behind. Boo.

The width feels different. I'm going to try to find a retailer with Bondi 5 still in stock.

I thought I'd found my Shoe For Life in the Bondi 5, but what Hoka giveth, Hoka taketh away. As others have said, the Bondi 6 is substantially narrower in the forefoot. Even worse, the Bondi 6 lacks that signature plush ride so many of us loved in the Bondi 5. I took mine for a short test ride last night when they arrived, and the tips of my toes are sore from friction the next day--a sure sign I'd be losing toenails on a long run. I've never been so disappointed in a supposed "upgrade." This is a totally different shoe with a completely different fit.

I am a fan of Bondi 5. Tested Bondi 6 at store and hated it. No plush sole and runs narrow. It felt like Aciscs when it comes to Cusion. Lucky Bondi 5 was on clearance.

I have had walked through three pairs Hoka Bondi 5s that had lived up to their hype: plush insole, great wide fit, no knee pain. As a replacement I had to go with the Bondi 6: NOT a plush insole, had to replace it with athletic inserts. Caused knee pain until I replaced the insole. Had hoped Hoka would be a great shoe for a long time but nope, Hoka changed the shoe for the worse. Completely disappointed in this shoe.

This is a very stiff shoe and unlike the Hoka One One Clifton line is completely uncushioned. I wore them for the first time to a funeral in August 2021 (purchased two years prior) and now, six days later, and still dealing with severe foot pain from wearing these shoes. I will be donating them to the Salvation Army as soon as I am able to walk there.

I absolutely love these shoes - BUT after only a couple of months, the fabric above my big toe wore through and they are almost unwearable. The sole is still in great shape- I have been buying running shoes for 40 years - and this is the fastest a pair has EVER shown outward signs of wear!!!
Unacceptable.

I am a long time Hoka customer and fan. My item did not come with a return slip in the package (the shoes were not the correct size..further I wear a regular width and a wide was sent).. I was unable to successfully speak to customer service ( I was placed on hold for 20 plus minutes on 4 separate occasions).. I spent over 120$ and have shoes that are I'll fitting and of no use.. I am completely dissatisfied with the lack of service.. I tried using the online return services and was unable to print the return label as the label did not generate..
Epic Fail on all points

I loved the Bondi 5, however the Bondi 6 really hurt my feet. The support was still good, it only hurt where my pinky toe rubbed against the shoe, almost as if the toe box was not wide enough as it was in the Bondi5. The quality was also not as good because after a few months the shoe began breaking near the heel. I am willing to try the next generation (Bondi7) but if this one also does not feel comfortable I am giving up on Hoka :(
