It is possible these are the boot I have been searching for for several years! I ordered them with no reviews to help (maybe that was a good thing?)--I ordered a half size up because the last pair of Keens I owned were almost perfect, except my feet got really cold and my toes tingled. only in hindsight do I realize I'd bought my normal 8.5 and needed a bigger size to accommodate thick socks and air flow in cold weather. I walk my dog a couple miles a day rain, snow, sleet, or shine, and as I've gotten older my back has started to kill me. I've spent oodles of money on winter boots trying to find the right ones, and these might be it. What I need is a running shoe built inside a winter snow boot, and this is the closest I've come. a couple of walks in and almost no back pain(!). I haven't even put my orthotics in them yet! I ordered the 9s and they are perfect with a thick sock, the toe box is quite roomy which seems to be a Keen thing. There's room for the orthotics if I need them. Four stars for style only because I'm still holding out for a winter boot that is actually stylish and also good for the body. :)

I really liked these boots in the blue color but realized it wouldn't match most of my winter clothing, so i ordered in Black. unfortunately the black version looks much bulkier, and is not feminine at all. These are super comfortable though and I loved the zipper opening in addition to the laces. i wish they had in other neutral colors than looked more girlish!

After COUNTLESS attempts to find the right snow boot, these Keens are the BOMB. I purchased several winter boots and returned them all until the Keen's arrived. Super comfortable, warm and good grip on the ice. I was surprised to find a very cushioned footbed. The fabric upper portion is cozy and warm and feels great against your leg. No poking rubbing or prodding when you walk. These are super light too. I don't feel clunky when I wear them. They move just like a normal pair of shoes. I've been out walking in snow and ice with no problems. For some real ice covered areas I would still go with some Yak Tracks or grippers over them, but for the occasional ice they are good to go. Temps in the 20's. All good. I have not walked in deep snow, so I can't yet speak for how well the fabric portion holds up when the snow covers it. I can finally relax and get outside and enjoy the winter weather. Thanks Keen for making an uber comfortable winter boot. I'm usually a Merrell girl, but these win hands down.

Awesome for my wide feet. I love the wide toe box on keens. The zipper makes for easy on and off. They are nice and warm. Love them! I really liked the look of sorels, but they were too narrow for me.

I always order up a half size for boots, as I did this time. The length was perfect. Width seemed too snug when I first tried these on. After wearing them around the house for awhile with a mid-weight wool sock, I thought they would be OK. Today I wore them on a three-mile walk in the snow in mid-20s with just a thin sock, and my feet stayed warm and comfortable.

These are the best fitting & looking snow boots I've found. I've tried North Face (purple- I sooo wanted to like them!), Sorels & Chacos. Contrary to many reviews, I found the Keens to be true to size. Must be because of those funny turned up Keen toes:)They look great & are streamlined enough to fit easily in my snowshoes & look good with jeans. The laces were easy to adjust, though I wish there were more quick lace hooks at the top (there is just 1 pair). The reason for 4 stars? The side zipper is totally worthless. I cannot get the boots off unless i undo the laces. So the zippers make the boots less waterproof & are dysfunctional, but they do look cool. The other reason for 4 stars is the insoles. They are totally flat so I have use use other insoles that are not insulated as well as the ones that come in the boots. Hopefully, this won't be a problem if I wear wool socks (which fit in my size 8.5s just fine).

I recently found out I have osteoporosis and was looking for a snow boot with great traction (and warmth) that I could wear for long walks out on the snow and ice covered trails. Slipping and falling is not an option for me now. This boot has been perfect! My feet stay warm and dry and with just mostly snow and wet ice conditions, I have great traction. Today there was a lot of ice so I put on some ice cleats over the boots and did my usual 4.5 mile hike without slipping once. I couldn't be happier with this boot! Based on reviews, I ordered up a half size. This gives me lots of room for thick socks. I got the blue and really like the color. The style is a bit on the clunky side, but it's' designed for more rugged use, I believe, which is what I needed. The combination of side zipper and laces lets me adjust the snugness. I am so glad I got these boots and highly recommend them.

When I first slipped on the boots, I thought they were a little too snug/short, which surprised me as I have several other pairs of size 10.5 Keen shoes that fit great. I considered ordering a size 11, but none were in stock. I'm glad I waited. I tried them on again with a thinner wool sock, I decided they felt pretty good. I've wore them twice while shoveling snow. Even with temps down to 15 degrees, my feet stayed dry and warm. I haven't used them on ice, but they seemed very secure on snow and slush. I have slightly narrow feet, especially in the heels. The boots do fit snug but are very comfortable. The zipper makes it easier to get the boots on and off, even with my high instep. If your feet run a little narrow, give these a try. It's hard to find boots that are narrower in the heel but still have adequate room for your toes.

I agree with other reviewers that you should go 1/2 size up. I always wear a size 5 (except in running shoes) and ordered both sizes to try on. The size 5 fit with thin socks but was definitely snug. The 5 1/2 was perfect with no heel slippage. These aren't the most attractive boots but are super comfortable. The zipper makes on/off easier but you still need to lace/unlace.

LOVE THESE. Lightweight, flexible, and way less bulky than the other 2 brands I tried (Northface and Kamik). I have narrow feet and toothpick legs and these big boots do not look like I am wearing my husband's galoshes (for once). I am a 9.5 in most shoes but I kept the 10 so I can wear thick socks. I think they are sporty cute - the magnet is more of a dark gray IRL (it looks kind of purple on my screen). I have not tried them in snow yet, but it is October in Minneapolis so winter is coming....

I've been waiting for these snow boots to reappear in the Fall and snatch them up in my size. I almost always wear an 8.5 Medium. These snow boots were way too tight on the top of my foot and loosening the laces did not help enough to consider sizing up. In the meantime a Merrell Thermo Rhea Tall snow boot arrived that fit perfectly - right out of the box, so I sent the Keen back.

Cannot say enough great things about this boot! I've tried many different winter boot brands over the years (most recently Sorel). They have always felt clunky and hurt the back of my heel if I walked too much in them. I need to be able to walk my dog on snowy or muddy paths for a couple of miles and this is the first pair that I am not miserable by the end of the walk. They are warm, truly waterproof, and so very lightweight. When I first put them on I felt like I was walking on a cloud. I am not sure why I never tried Keens before, but I am so glad I did and will try other Keen styles now too. I normally wear a 6.5 and based on other reviews chose the 7 so I could wear slightly thicker socks. The 7 does not feel big at all.

Based on past experience wearing keen hiking boots, I ordered a half size up . The larger size is perfect, and because these boots have both laces and a zipper, I was able to customize the fit as well. These are not high style boots, but they keep my feet warm and dry and they are easy to put on and take off. I live in ski country and have worn them every day since they arrived almost two weeks ago. Also, I can not say enough about how terrific Zappos customer service is! My first order went astray and I called Zappos and was sent another pair the next day, no questions asked. When the first pair finally showed up, Zappos again stepped up and arranged to have it picked up at my front door. Zappos has made a customer for life!!!

What I like about this boot, is that you can get the laces set up just the way you want them, tie them, and then use the zipper to take the boots on and off. I haven't worn them in the snow yet, but they seem very comfortable and not too heavy. Fit true to size: I usually wear Clarks and Naturalizers. I also have a wide calf, (15 1/2") and the tongue is wide enough below the laces.

Comfortable right out of the box. These boots are warm, too. Nice quality. I wear a 5 or 5.5 shoe; I bought a 5.5. They do slip in the heels a little, but I have narrow heels and most of my shoes slip. Not very stylish, but that's okay.

I normally wear a size 8 in shoes but with previous Keen purchases I have always gone up 1/2 size. I did the same with these boots and as long as I have thicker socks in them the size is good. They keep my feet warm especially if I am moving. The traction seems excellent. I really like the inside zipper which makes getting the boot on/off much easier than if you had to deal with the laces every time.

Loved shoes they are so comfy but have to give 3 stars because they aren’t waterproof. We just had a huge wet snow storm here in VT and they both leaked around the ankles, took off boots to wet batches. Thanks to Zappos for their great customer service. I really love these boots but they can’t handle VT weather

OK. I REALLY wanted to love these shoes. They got such amazing reviews. I already own a few pairs of Keen shoes (hiking boots, summer sandals) that are great, so I figured these would be a keeper. The tall height is great for walking around in more than a foot of snow. The footbed was fine. Traction seemed decent. Appreciated the insulation/warmth factor. And that's where the pros end for me. The color schemes aren't that great. The blue is outdated looking (kinda like middle-aged-woman color), the black is so dense and dark - too Darth Vadery, and I noticed a third color scheme (not available on Zappos), that is a really strange beige and magenta. Keen needs to work on more modern cool and sophisticated colors! The other con to this shoe is the zipper and lace combination. It feels over-designed and the zipper is totally unnecessary. When I tried to zip it up I struggled to get it over my calves. I have average, but muscular calves. When you add that plus two baselayers and pants, the zipper made the fit super tight. If I left the zipper "zipped" and just used the laces it was ok, but then why have the zipper? My husband also pointed out that the zipper just creates one more opening in the shoe where rain, snow, or slush can get in. Returned the shoe because the cons outweighed the pros for me. Keen, if you re-release this shoe next year, please remove the zipper or make this a totally slip on boot, keep the height (or maybe make it a little taller), and make the colorways more sophisticated.

I am a fan of the Keen Presidio style shoes. I was looking for a mid height booth with good warmth and arch support. This one fit the bill, but turned out to be too narrow for me. I've had issues with a morton's neuroma, so my feet are low volume, but wider than most. If one didn't have a wider forefoot, these boots would be great! Unfortunately, I'm returning this pair.

These boots are great! I have weak ankles and flat feet and am prone to sprains, and these boots in particular really feel stable and snug (in a good way) around the ankle. I also like that there are laces and a zipper. Other reviewers talked about not liking the colors and/or style - I love them! The tongue and inner fabric is a deep blue-grey, and the surrounding leather/suede-like material is a cool grey-green color, all depending on the light. Overall, a really great boot!

I'm usually a 6.5 but ordered a 7 since most reviewers said to size up but I actually found the boot to be pretty true to size. The 7 was a bit loose in the heels but I liked the fact that I could wear thick socks and still wiggle and splay my toes with ease in the shoe. This boot definitely looks a lot better than most snow shoes, it did make my feet look huge but overall it is less bulky than other snow shoes I've owned. I cant wait to take these to the snow in the next week to see how warm and dry they keep my feet.
