The elastic was very tight. My feet turned purple in a matter of minutes. I read a similar review for the multi black color, but thought the problem wouldn't affect ordinary 8M feet like mine. It did. Too bad because they are darling.

Overall, these shoes are very cute and comfortable. The only complaint is because the straps are elastic several times my feet have rolled out of the shoe and have almost twisted my ankle. The elastic straps makes the shoes very comfortable but do not hold your foot firmly in place.

Ran small and had to return. They only come in whole sizes so the next size up fits although it’s a little big. Order 1/2 size up if you are a half size but I normally wear a 9 and then 10’s are just slightly big but wearable. Super cute and comfy.

Very cute shoe...but as other reviewers suggested I sized up, and although the footbed was then a little too large, the ankle strap (all the straps are elastic) was still too tight. I guess only works for people with very thin ankles. Sadly, these are going back.

I so wanted to love these shoes. However I could not get my feet into them. The straps have no elasticity or give . I have a narrow / skinny foot to begin with and still could not get my foot into one of these. The style is adorable but I have to wonder if anyone tried they're feet into these before they were sent into stores.

While I love the style of these espadrilles, they are not nearly as comfortable as they look. I usually wear a 8.5 and needed a 9 for length -- but the elastic straps are TIGHT. If you have any swelling by the end of a long hot day, these shoes can start to feel very constricting and uncomfortable.

Adorable sandals but the straps are so tight it is difficult to get them on and off and they leave marks on my feet.

I love the way these sandals look and fit, however I am very disappointed with the quality. After wearing them fewer than 10 times, the straps started to tear away from the base and a lot of stitching came undone. Most of my shoes are by Steve Madden and I've never had issues like this before. These shoes are really cute, but for $80 the quality is quite poor.

I adore these sandals and have bought a pair in each color but every pair fits differently. Out of the six I've purchased/exchanged, I've only been able to keep two.

I wouldn’t consider my feet to be wide, but I had to return since they did not fit. The straps are stretchy, and kind of a hassle to get the whole shoe on (can’t easily slide on, or even do with one hand- which is key when you have your hands full!). The shoe soles dragged due to the stretch in the strap, making them move like a flip flop, not a sandal that moves with your foot if that makes sense. Overall not impressed.

Great shoes and so comfortable to walk in but the strap keeps breaking. I'm on my second pair and am so disappointed that they broke

Fell apart after two wears, but cute…

These shoes are impossible to get on. You have to point your foot at a pointer ballerina angle to get your foot in the ankle strap. Once I did that, which I only attempted because they are so cute, the strap was way too tight! I sent these back with a big heck no.

I loved the look of these sandals, but unfortunately I have flat feet and the edge of the shoe presses into what would be the arch of my foot. I wanted to wear these on vacation, but that's just asking for trouble.

I love Steve Madden designs but his shoes are not true to size. They run short and several designs run narrow like a child’s foot. I wear an 8.5 and the size 9 was still too short. Very disappointing because the shoes are super cute!

The shoes are problematic because the heel and ankle strap push your foot forward. I found my toes hanging over the front of the shoe while there was too much space behind my heel. I was not able to push my foot back into the proper place.

The straps were WAY too tight and not flexible at all. I usually need a sandal with tighter straps, but this was the first time they were too tight. I could barely get them on my foot.

The straps were all pretty tight, across the toes and around the ankle. Also the shoe itself is heavy . I usually wear a size 8 in sandals and they fit true to size. I really liked them but i had to return them.

I have these in black and white and feel those two fit true to size. These seem to be woven with a tighter fabric that does not have a lot of give and doesn't break in. They were tight and uncomfortable. Loved the colors but just doesn't work. Will be returning.

They're so cute, but the straps are ridiculously tight... they squeeze the life out of my poor feet. I wore them out to run errands and ended up with a couple blisters... definitely not as comfortable as I was hoping. The Steve Madden label fell off with in the first hour, leaving a gross sticky residue that was sticking to the bottom of my feet. Didn't love that.

I ordered a second pair as the 1st pair was a little tight. This pair, the second pair appear to possibly have been worn and the one foot is stretched out SO when wearing both, they didn't feel the same.
