The fit and support / foot land was very similar to Saucony running shoes I'm familiar with. I typically worry about buying a size larger than I need for fear that the shoe will allow too much side to side room in the toe area especially, but these lace up well. This allows enough toe area to withstand the downhill assault without banging my toes into the shoe tip and bruising toe nails while still supplying lateral support. The cushioning was not as soft as Saucony but softer than most Nike and Solomon and other trail running shoes. The cushioning was better than other Asics I've purchased. The arch is not very pronounced and allows the use of orthotics to be used easily. I am 47 and have very flexible ankles and typically opt for the shoe with the highest amount of cushioning when selecting a running shoe. My left foot is completely flat and I use orthotics in all of my shoes. I run up to a half marathon at a time and rely on my shoes to absorb impact. I gave this a 5 on comfort because they are the most cushioned trail shoes I found. I gave this a 4 on style because they shell isn't as bold as I'd like it. The black on black camo scheme is too subtle for my liking and it might do better with more lime green accents. The tread on the bottom is aggressive, but not too deep. The other color options were just bad, in my opinion. I gave this a 5 overall because I couldn't find a more cushioned, stylish shoe for the money.

This is a very comfortable pair of trail running shoes, not too thick of a cushion but not too thin either like similar shoes - although it is more on the softer side of things. The gray camo and orange color is absolutely nice. In terms of size, I typically wear a size 12 (male) for dress shoes, but with New Balance and Asics I go one entire size up to 13, as these two brands seem to run small. Going a size up provides enough room for thicker socks, custom insoles (if needed) and for feet swelling when running. These brands also seem to run on the narrow side. In ordered the extra wide and to me they feel normal. The normal width might be too norrow! Keep that in mind when ordering and don’t be afraid to order wide.

I loved the NB Leadville, hated the NB KOM, found these and absolutely LOVE them. They are super comfortable, the width and length are perfect. The grip is just as good as the Vibram soles on the NB's. I am very picky and can't find anything to complain about these. I am seriously considering buying a second pair for when these get worn out.

These are great, not too flashy but have a little pop too them. I will probably pick up another pair.

I bought these to replace my New Balance 610v4’s and I’m pretty happy, especially for the price. Although they feel narrower and longer than the NB in the same exact size the comfort level is miles ahead. I will wear these as my go to when I’m going to wear sneakers and I can’t see myself being disappointed. The shoes are “beautifully ugly” (I bought the orange version) which, is a prerequisite of my style. I’m actually already considering buying the blue ones too. Overall, good shoe, great comfort, awesome style. I’d recommend if you’re on the fence.

A really decent shoe! As far as Asics go this is probably top of their line. It has good support, but a hard sole. I also really like the color palette & design.

These shoes are pretty good for short distance hiking, but for regular walking on cement and asphalt (before going to the hiking trails) they simply do not give enough support for the sole of the feet. Shoe laces are a little too short to neatly knot up, they need to be at least 5 inches longer. As far as styling, these are boring looking shoes like most of the hiking shoes in the market. Come on, shoe making people: We need to have better looking hiking shoes, even in the trails a little more colors (on the shoes) can make nature more a beautiful place. Overall, for $60 these shoes are decent for strictly hiking, but if you can afford to pay more, look at other shoes for better looking and quality.
