I have bought a new pair of these every year. In the 25s, I am not a fan of the new material for the heel sock. It seems cheap and likely to barely last 2 months. Also, it ran a FULL SIZE too small.

After lots of searching for a shoe that was good for knee pain, support for fairly high arches, supination, and narrow heel, I settled on these. In my correct size, they were great in every aspect, except they felt a little narrow. Zappos legendary service made it quick and easy to try a different width. Although I do not measure "wide," I kept the wide width pair, which were great, with socks---but I gave up a little in the "narrow heel" department. So, bottom-line for me is they are almost, but not quite, perfect. Mine are gray, with the orange-y accent---wish I really wish was not orange--almost any other color would have been better. It's a good looking shoe. Just. Orange. A personal preference, I know--if you like a dash of orange, this could be a 10 for you. I am 7/10 happy with the color. But about 9/10 happy with everything else!

Like the black on black. Lots of cushion. Have lots of foot problems and this shoe helps.

ASICS fit my feet very well. I’ve had many Gel Kayanos. These are nice but maybe not quite as padded as some in the past but still a great, comfortable and supportive shoe.

Returned them because they were not as comfortable in the arch area and at the bottom of the instep as they should be on my foot. Lacing went into top of toes, and arch support was not right for my foot. Colors not fashion-forward if that is a concern. Worth a try, though, it is well made shoe.

This is the 2nd pair of this style that I have purchased. I love them! So comfortable, good arch support. When I buy another pair of shoes in 2 months, I will buy another pair of these.

Nice looking, if not a little bland. This shoe is low in the toe ceiling. The shoe is too low for a hallux hammer toe.

These shoes were beautiful and fit nicely all the way around. I have a lot of issues with plantar fasciitis and pain in my heels due to a narrow, long foot with high arches. These shoes did not provide the comfort and pain relief that I was looking for.

I love Asics and loved this color for summer shoes for work. I got a half size larger than my normal size , but they are too narrow through the ball of my foot. I have a bunion and I couldn't even stand to have them on very long when I tried them on. Why don't these come in WIDES? Why are black and grey the only colors available in wide? I am heartbroken to have to return them , but there is no way I can wear them. Very Disappointed!!

I have been wearing the Asics Gel-Kayano for years and have always loved the fit and cosy feel of these shoes. I am disappointed to say that the toe box is not as wide as it used to be a few years ago and it is not as cushiony as I remember. Which they hadn't changed the shoe AT ALL!!!! I have read many other reviews about how they have narrowed the toe box. Please bring back the shoe I remember or I will have to move on and find another shoe manufacturer that has a shoe that is comfortable and fits well.

I love ASICS but these Kayanos were not as comfortable as ones in the past. I’ve tried two different pairs and they make my toes go numb. There is plenty of room in the toe box. I think it’s the cushioning that pushes up on my foot.

Sadly, Asics still hasn't returned to their great fit prior to Gel-Kayano 22, 23, 24 and now 25. They continue to be narrow in the toe box. They used to have one of the best fitting sneakers, but still haven't listened to ALL the COMPLAINTS on the change they made.

I recently healed from an ankle injury, and after meeting with a podiatrist I learned I needed stability shoes because my left foot over pronates. I’m training for a marathon so I’m being extra careful on what shoes I choose to run in. These were at the top of almost every list I came across so they were the first shoes I tried. If you could see my purchase history, you’d know that I’m trying basically every single stability shoe out there! Unfortunately these didn’t work for me. The shoe itself is very stylish and I loved the white and red colorway. The heel was too loose on me no matter how I tried tying my laces. The shoe itself was a bit bulky and stiff and distracted me in every step I took. I knew that long distances would be way too uncomfortable for running, so I had to send them back. On to the next!

I was disappointed in the fit of these shoes. They were narrow which is good for me, but the arch support was not nearly as good as my last pair of Gel Kaynos. they also felt a little high around the ankle. I will have to try again.

I have used the Kayanos since about Kayano 18. This is the first time I have had to return them. The toe box was too wide even in the narrow size. Back half of the shoe fit wonderfully but the front half was too wide allowing my ball of foot to slide around. I also did not feel there was the usual support in the arch.

Iv'e purchased a more supportive shoe for less. It's OK, but I don't feel it's worth the investment.

I like the look And breatheability of the fabric. My previous shoe was the Gel Kayano 20 which I still have. The new 25 doesn't have the overall support I need for my overpronation, the knit material is way too soft for my 10.5 Narrow feet. Also didnt feel like there was much cushioning and my heel wobbled side to side when I tried to walk in them. Sadly I had to return them.

ASICS must have changed it’s sizing. Usually ASICS runs small and I order a size up. This shoe seems to run true to normal size, so I ordered my usual “ASICS” size and it was too big.

I have been wearing Gel Kayanos for about 6 years and I love them. But these are the worst. I walk in them and after about 2 miles the bottom of my feet start to burn. I am so disappointed. My feet are killing me. And now my heel hurts. I’ve worn them about 4 times. I wish I could send them back.

I am shocked that a shoe advertised as for plantar fasciitis has zero arch support. I have flat feet, so I’m pretty easy to please when it comes to arch support. These shoes don’t have any. The cushioning in the rest of the shoe was great, and the shape was perfect per other reviews. The style was a little lacking, they look like giant shoes. I would have kept them if they had arch support but I’m not paying for plantar fasciitis shoes that don’t address a critical need for plantar fasciitis patients.

I was disappointed with these. Initially, they felt comfortable, I had no issues with toe box fit, which is my usual sizing problem. After several hours of wear, I noticed a growing discomfort along the outside of both feet. Next time, I adjusted the laces for a looser fit, but then the tongue shifted and they felt kind of sloppy. I have adjusted the lacing 3 or 4 times. I do not usually have to do this, and have never worn "wide" shoes. Finally, the heel cushioning seems sub-par for this level of shoe. It makes me think of a tire going flat, initially a nice soft landing...but then you feel too much ground. Perhaps at 155 lbs I am too heavy for the design of the shoe??I will be returning these.

I didn't like these at all. I haven't been able to wear the Gel Kayano's since the 22s. This shoe had a wider toe box and a narrow fit in the width. I normally wear a narrow but was able to get a medium in these since they ran narrow. I didn't like the lack of padding in the sole. It was very hard and put too much pressure on the bottom of my feet when I walked. I found it very uncomfortable.

I wore Kayanos for many years after breaking both feet. I loved the wide base that kept my feet level and prevented lateral movement. However, as many other reviews have pointed out; the toe box became narrower to the point I was getting blisters between my toes. I was loyal to this model and tried to suffer through it. I did finally try another brand, and while I missed the "substance" of Kayanos.....I had no mor problems. So, after reading that Kayano 25 had improved the toe box, I ordered another pair to try. Right away something felt amiss. My left toes hit the end of the shoe. I wore them awhile and they felt "uneven". So....I lined them up against a straight edge, and was surprised to find that my new pricey shoes did not match at all! Returning them, and am totally disappointed in the workmanship.

The fit and size seemed true. They feel totally different than the kayano 24s, however. I wore them once and all of my toes went numb. The toe box seems to be much narrower than previous kayano models that I normally wear.
