The size and fit was comparable to other Brooks shoes. BUT there is a piece where the tongue attaches to the body of the shoe that folds up and instantly irritates my foot. They were unwearable for me. See the white line in the attached photo.

This is a great shoe in terms of overall fit and ruggedness. Love the GORE-TEX. Unfortunately, the successor shoe Ghost 12 GTX has significantly narrower shoebox and will not fit many people for whom the Ghost 11 GTX was great. Why can't the shoe factories produce shoes precisely enough to guarantee a fit from year to year!?

I love these shoes! I'm on my second pair of ghost 11 GTX. The goretex definitely works as expected. My first pair withstood snow, puddles, rain, ice, and nursing (body fluids, punctures, and extended wear time). I wore my first pair for about 5 months in a busy ICU. The last couple weeks they started to hurt my feet which is expected since it's seen more grime and extended wear time than any other shoes I've worn at work. The shoes are super comfortable and the goretex performs as expected, maybe even better.

Nice shoes and very comfortable. They run a little small so I will be ordering another pair 1/2 size up.

These shoes run slightly narrow. Ordering a half size up will help. Brooks comfort with dry feet. I wear these daily in cold weather.

They are incredibly light for being gore-Tex shoes. Think I'm set now for a winter of running.

Brooks has made another great running shoe for New Hampshire winters. I used to always buy the ASR GTX but that has been discontinued. This is the second pair I've bought of Ghost GTX and I'm very happy with the stability and support of this shoe. It is also extremely comfortable. Thank you Zappos and Brooks.

Mixed feelings with this shoe. I had one pair and it broke down fast. They replaced it and it is holding up fine! The problem is how noisy they are while you walk. It must be the gortex.

Fit true to size. Most brands I am in a 9.5 and this fit well. I am a fan of brooks. First time with goretex brooks and like them a lot. Previous light hikers or trail runners in goretex have been north face which are a bit sturdier, also hotter and heavier. Not s perfect score cuz I haven’t worn them down yet. At $100 on sale it’s a surefire rebuy. ??

I like Brooks ghost 11 although they feel larger than the ghost 10. I will change the insole to get more arch support and slightly snugger fit.

Overall, great shoes, but make sure you order a half-size up if you have wider feet. I own Brooks Transcend 5's and love them. They fit my feet perfectly and I have wide feet. I ordered the Ghost 11's for winter use since the T5's were too ventilated and not waterproof. My feet were cold with the T5's and feeling numb from the cold early winter air (in Wisconsin). Ran with them Ghost 11's on the trail this weekend with 25F degree temps and they were great. I plan on adding studs to the bottom of them to help with traction for winter running. After reading some reviews it seemed that the Ghost 11's were a bit smaller so I ordered a half size up from what I have on the T5's and they fit pretty well. Wish they a tad bit wider, but I loosened up the laces a bit to help. They look super cool in person. Orange on black is awesome.

I like the shoes overall but they do run narrow. I saw other comments before ordering so I went a half size larger than my other Brooks running shoes. This definitely helped but is still more snug in the width than other Brooks I own.

The shoe is good for training but not racing it is on the heavy side. The sole is slippery on the road when it rains that is not good for a waterproof shoe. The width and size are on the larger side. For a heavy user as myself the support and the feeling when the leg hits the road is perfect.

Returned due to being too narrow. Seemed like a decent quality shoe though for folks who could fit it. A slightly stiffer shoe as well.

Good shoe. The new model seems a bit wider. For some it may be five start. For me the model has changed too much to meet my needs.

I tried on a pair of Ghost 11 non GTX in store that felt great so I ordered the same size in this GTX. It felt small overall especially in the toe box. I think a half size larger would have helped. Also the lateral arch felt like it protruded a lot more than the Ghost 11 I tried on in store. Also not a big fan of the neon orange. If it had been all black that would be great. What I did like was the weather protection. My feet were dry and isolated from puddles and rain.

This shoe runs small. My husband wears the Brooks Ghost GTX year-round for his fitness walking. He owns several old pairs of the regular Ghost and also the Ghost GTX, all in size 10D that fit him perfectly. This shoe in size 10D was both too short and too narrow for him. He could not even get his left foot into the shoe. Even a half size bigger shoe was not going to work. We returned the size 10D, and re-ordered an 11D, which thankfully is not only a little longer, but also slightly wider so will work for him. Very aggravating that Brooks re-engineered the fit to such a drastic degree.

Disappointed that most reviews aren't geared towards runners. 200-lb., 40-60 mpw sweaty mess. 12.5 wide - picked up April 2019. The shoe fits as expected; I ordered the wide in case the toe box was (and does) run a little narrow. This shoe is waterproof. During rain storms, nothing gets in; however, nothing gets out. These do not breathe. Any runs over 3-mi results in squishy feet the remainder of the run. When not in a downpour, these still weigh you down; very heavy. I have put these through various conditions; downpour, rainy summer heat, sleet, muddy trails, soggy gravel. All of the runs turned into arduous tasks to hit my mileage; none were very pleasant. Unfortunately, these have been demoted to last resort shoes only used to prevent excess wear on anything else. Unless I'm dealing with consecutive nasty days, I would wear my 500+mi regular Ghosts for rainy runs. I do not recommend these. They are sub-par in comparison to many other options. Note, I usually keep a Ghost/Glycerin in my road rotation and the Cascadia is my go-to trail.

Had to return them. I purchased the same size in this Ghost 11 as my Ghost 10s. They turned out to be narrower and shorter than the 10s in the same size.
