Love the pattern, just wish it wasn’t so tight around the neck. Snug fit around the face too. I have an average sized face.

I use my balaclava when I go out walking, etc in the winter. I tend to get sinus infections & it really helps keep my head warm & protects from breathing in the cold damp air.

this is supposedly 250 but feels thinner than the 250 neck gator. I know this because I ordered a bunch of Smartwool 250 neck gators as Christmas presents for my family and they feel thicker. still decently warm, but I wouldn’t rely on it for super cold temps. very comfortable and fits well.

I wear this when riding a bike in the cold. It is very lightweight, keeps my noggin insulated, and works well with a bike helmet.

A little itchy the first time I wore it, unlike the solid black one I already own, but a couple of washes seemed to take care of it. Fits well, warm without being bulky, and great as a face covering during our current social distancing.

Skied Park City Jan 13-17, 2020 some cold days with m250 balaclava was warm all days and fit well below my helmet; it definitetly was an improvement over my old one!

Thin, light weight and very warm under my ski helmet. Face protection without bulk. Doesn't frost up like neck gator. Ticks nicely into jacket or base layers

I use this Balaclava for skiing because my old polar fleece one wouldn't stay up on my nose this one doesn't do that ether and it's not as warm as the polar fleece. They only make a one size fits all which is never true. I think if it were a little smaller it would work better for me. Being Smartwool it's great quality and I will still use it just not a 5 Star for me.
