I wanted to love these.... Some background: I'm a young 55 and I wanted to wear these on my short walks into work. I wear jeans and skirts and thought these would be perfect. I need arch support and ankle support since I walk on an uneven path with stones and small branches to maneuver over. These have almost zero arch support. These have zero cushioning in the foot bed for comfort. I think a corrugated piece of cardboard would have more cushioning that these $100 shoes. If you just want a cool, cute and NARROW shoe, with no regard for comfort or function, than this is probably a good shoe for you, otherwise, don't waste your time and money. I am returning them immediately! Taos, what have you become??

Here’s a testament to how much I love these shoes... they didn’t work out for me but I kept the two pairs I had ordered and gave a pair each to my nieces. They both took one look at them and were instantly smitten:). While I was hoping the medium would be sufficient, I found I would need a wide width for them to be comfortable for me. Well made and adorable and a little bad ass:-)

These Taos sneakers are a dream come true. I've had tendonitis in my right foot for a couple of years and it had gotten to the point where all I would wear is Birkenstocks at home and Keen hiking boots or Dansko clogs when I went out (depending on how dressed up I needed to be :)). Every other shoe I wore hurt -- it didn't just hurt while I was wearing it, it's like it set my foot back and it would hurt for a day or two afterward. I've tried so many different shoes! I have a whole closet full of shoes that I can't wear. I found these Taos sneakers a few days ago and WOW. They feel great. Don't let their flat look fool you -- inside is a substantial insert with lots of arch support. They are super comfortable right out of the box, flexible and light. They are really cute on my feet and look great with yoga pants or jeans. I love them so much (I bought these high tops in gray) that I just bought the lower ones (Moc Stars) in a different color so that I'll have something to wear with shorts. They do run small (probably b/c of the big insert). I usually wear a 9 or 9.5 and I bought these in a 10 -- the 10s fit great, but I still have to wear them with a thin sock. (At least they don't LOOK huge.)

Cute and comfortable. With a high instep, sometimes shoes like this can be a challenge to put on but this style was a breeze. I've never worn this brand before but I'm pleased with this purchase.

Super cute shoes! I love themmm! I ordered size based on other reviews (a half size bigger) - I usually wear an 8.5, I ordered a 9; perfect fit! The arch support is perfect for my higher arches. I have narrow feet and feel they aren't too tight, or too wide (I typically order medium width and these are perfect)! They are very well made, I think - time will tell, as far as wear, but they seem very sturdy. I love that they are very similar to Converse - I actually like these better, TBH. I might have to order other colors!

These are adorable and comfortable! I love the footbeds. I normally wear an 8.5 but got a 9 to be able to wear socks. They are just slightly narrow with a thin sock, but will hopefully give as they break in.

This shoe was very cute on, but it just didn't fit my foot. I have a wide forefoot, and these shoes were slightly too narrow. The shoe also felt somewhat short in length. Ultimately, it didn't have enough support for walking all day, which is what I need.

These are really cute shoes! And great color! I did think they ran a little small so consider going up 1/2 a size. I am looking for a good walking shoe/ bootie for a trip to Ireland. I feel theses are fairly casual with not a ton of support. Don’t get me wrong! They are darling but don’t think they give me much compared to my On Cloud water proof shoes. So I sent them back. Looking for a bit dressier booties with good support for walking to the pubs and on easy walking trails. As always— Zappos readily and easily takes returns! Still on the hunt for the right shoe and won’t look any further than Zappos.

Very cute shoe with skinny pants or jeans. You will need to loosen up the laces quite a bit to get your foot in. Once the shoe is on it, it is very comfortable and can wear all day or dance all night!

tight feet and uppers rubbed on my ankle. cute but not comfy. I could have tried a larger size but was afraid the upper edge would have rubbed regardless

The boots are super cute, but the fabric felt stiff and they were too hard to put on. I had also ordered the Taos Union boot, which are amazingly comfortable (soft leather) and I'm going to keep those instead. The Union boots have a zipper as well as laces, so they are much easier to put on. A zipper on the Top Star would be a good idea. Taos....?

Read all the wonderful reviews BUT, did I get a reject? They were cute but the collar felt like it had no padding and rubbed on my ankle bones, the tongue was unfinished with a ragged edge, the laces were so short they barely tied and, most importantly, where was the "comfortable" foot bed. I felt like I was walking on a piece of thin cardboard. Absolutely no cushion. Not what I expected from an expensive shoe. I have returned them and then found out the "free" return is going to cost me $10. Does anyone have any idea why the shoes I received were so badly made?

Super cute semi-hightop sneakers are so cute and comfortable. I always am concerned about fit because my right foot is larger than my left, so I’m somewhere between an 8 1/2 and a 9. These fit absolutely perfect in a size 9. Super arch support made me realize how little arch support I have in other shoes. Great distressed gray color goes with everything.

Bought these in green - I am in love! They are SO much cooler in person than onscreen. Color is a soft grey green with amber colored stitching. Uppers are a nice, soft, lightweight canvas that is great for most any weather. The removable footbeds with arch supports inside were a nice surprise - so much more comfy than my converse. They are a bit stiff out of the box, but I'm certain it won't take long for them to break-in.

I am usually a size 8 (or at least I used to be) but tried these on in an 8 in a store and they were too small and they didn't have the next size up. I went online and looked at every high top fashion sneaker I could find on multiple sites and concluded that these were the best looking ones. They are comfortable but could have more arch support. I may try insoles instead. I plan to wear them to work with dresses as well as with jeans and leggings.

I love these! I got the graphite, color is true to picture. I've been looking for high top sneakers for a while and every pair I loved were $300+. These are great looking and good quality for the price. I love that they're not super bulky and have a thinner sole.

Love the style of these! They are comfortable right away! I do wish I had ordered and 81/2 instead of 8, I have long toes, so I think it would’ve given a bit more room. I have worn them once for several hours and they were great until the last hour. I think they just need broken in a bit more.

Love this shoe, excellent arch support and comfy right out of the box. Styling is similar to converse chucks, which I love but can’t wear because they lack arch support. These are so comfortable and funky. I am a huge fan of Taos brand shoes - I have 2 pair of their Crave boot.

Loved the material, style and color (distressed sage). Unfortunately they were a bit to small- I usually take a 9.5 or 10, ordered the 10. returning for a size 10.5- Thanks Taos for making a 10.5 many brands go right to an 11.

I have been wearing Converse and Vans for years and had never heard of Taos brand but with the Zappos great returns policy, I thought I couldn't go wrong ordering them. I'm glad I did. They fit true to size for me ( I am a size 6)-I didn't have to break them in at all the 1st day and wore them to a concert with lots of walking-- no foot pain at all. I love the style- you can lace them up if you like a snugger wearing sneaker or keep them loose for a much more relaxed fit-- and absolutely look fantastic with jeans which is what I wear almost everyday. If you are between sizes-order one size up.
