Perfect size and seems waterproof. Only wish the cup holder side pocket had a zipper option on it so it would allow the cupholder to expand larger if needed. Other then that this backpack is perfect for a petite asian girl :)

Awesome everyday bag to carry all of your essentials - great for the gym, a festival/concert, or as a flight carry-on bag. The bag material is very high quality, and the army green color is really nice. You can easily fit an iPad or tablet of sorts and maybe even a small laptop.

It was very nice and well made. The material is durable. Its size fits my city lifestyle very well.

As a grad student, I often have to carry a lot of books or papers on top of my laptop at all times. I fell in love with this bag from the window of a Timbuk2 store and was kindly informed by the salesperson that the sale would only get better. Thankfully to them I was able to get it when it was a little more doable for my budget and I'm so happy I did. The gray color is beautiful and the first day I used it was pouring rain; nothing got wet at all. The rain just sat on top of the bag. It is also so much more spacious than I expected. My 13" Macbook Air fits into the designated sleeve even with its case on and I have room for over 750 pages of student papers. The arm straps are very comfortable and padded. The bag is lightweight and perfect for my size as I'm 5'3"/petite. So happy with my purchase!

Recently brought this on a trip to NY. It is the perfect size to store an extra layer, water, and everyday carry items and the 2 side pockets are really convenient. Very sturdy. I am really happy with this purchase. The only thing is that it could be a little lighter (about 1lb).

Perfectly sized backpack for my day-to-day needs! I was having back problems from carrying a crossbody for years and figured a backpack would be a step in the right direction. As backpacks can be obtrusive in public situations, I wanted something small without it looking like I was wearing a kid's bag. This one is perfect! My sunglasses case lives in one side pocket, while my iphone 6s+ fits in the other. The long key hook strap in the front, magnet-closure pocket allows for unlocking my front door without unhooking the keys from the bag. The medium and large zipper-closure pockets fit everything else I may need throughout my workday: lunch, large Zigg water bottle, craft materials, gum, lipbalm, books, even my small laptop. I love the color, style, and size. My only complaint is the d-rings that attach the padded part of the shoulder strap to the adjustable, unpadded part on the bottom: they hit right in the armpit/rib area. While not painful, I'm definitely aware of them. It's something that might be irritating after a few hours of wearing a fully loaded bag. Other than that, I'd totally recommend this! I absolutely love mine and look forward to using it everyday!

I'm one of those people who researches things forever before I buy it (or ask for it as a gift). I knew Timbuk2 bags were good quality. I'm a small person and I wanted a small bag for going out during the day to carry wallet, a book, snacks, a drink, etc. I don't use it for work or school, so fitting a computer wasn't of concern to me. A lot of people will probably find this bag too small, but it's perfect for what I needed. If you're looking for a bit bag that can fit computers or 8.5 by 11 folders/papers/etc, then this isn't the bag for you.

I've been using this backpack for a month now, and I'm certainly fall in love with it! It's really perfect for my daily life!!! Never find any backpack like this could meet my requirements: it has a such good size for my personal belongings; comfortable strap during trips with enough pockets; suitable color for my school, outwork and short trips! Better yet, it actually lightweight with a high quality! I'm not gonna lying, it's really what you definitely deserve to have! You will regret if you don't have this backpack!

After using this backpack for two weeks, it holds its own wonderfully. It endured night school, work, tennis sessions, biking trips, and several outings. Even though its smaller than what I expected, it still makes up for durability. The straps are extremely comfortable, and don't slip off your shoulders while wearing the pack. Also, it doesn't sag uncomfortably or have an unsightly bulge when you need to carry a lot of items with you. The many pockets have a nice padding to them, and they keep your belongings secure even under great duress. I'm further impressed with the Timbuk2 brand, and the quality of their bags are worth the price in my opinion.

This is the first time seeing the Lug Recruit Pack Jet and it's bigger then it looks. Really lightweight durable material, well stitched and comfortable for short or long journeys. Unzip the main compartment and when you look inside there's tons of different sleeves, pockets, and compartments. It definitely holds more then it looks like it would, but still really easy to throw over your shoulders and stay comfortable. Only problem I experienced was the zippers initially stuck when opening and closing. Seems like the teeth of the zipper weren't gliding, but after a few uses they did start to loosen up and worked fine. Great strong shade of hunter green that looks great with any color. Definitely a keeper, this pack will be well traveled.

I'm really impressed with this bag and so excited to receive it! I wasn't aware of this brand before I received it for testing from Viewpoints and I'm really glad I did. It's really comfortable and convenient compared to others that I've tried and is quite strong. I've used it to run errands and even as a temporary baby bag so far. My spouse also loves it. He is an athlete and used it for his sports training and while going to his other outdoor activities (hikes, runs etc). I would buy this bag if I could afford it and I would definitely recommend it to others!

When I received the Timbuk 2 Lug Recruit Pack Jet, I immediately loved the size of this pack. Lightweight but really well made - it has nice sizeable pockets on the outside and even more long, deep pockets on the inside. The quality is exceptional -better than any back pack, crossbody bag or letterman bag I've ever carried. It lays flat to my body and allows for so much sports accessories, clothing, paperwork, and personal effects - it was unnecessary to carry a separate bag with it. This pack really handles everything I need for work and sports. I seek out Timbuk 2 products because of their premier quailty, exceptional materials and the smart styles they come in but I had never of the this Lug Recruit Pack Jet - I am more than happy with the quality and style, color, roominess and size of this particular style Timbuk 2 pack. I highly recommend this particular pack to anyone with kids in sports, busy husbands, active lifestyle families-it's a bag that will be used for everything and hold up for years to come.

This product is awesome. The size and the style of this backpack are perfect. This backpack has many compartments. It's lightweight and easy to carry anywhere you go.

This is a great product for traveling and school

Saw it online then called the Livermore store before I made the trip. They are so nice that they offer to hold one for me. I love all the compartment and the design of this backpacks. Fall in love as soon as I try it on. It fits my iPad and everything I need in a day. I use it when I go to work and run errands. I am planning to take it with me when I go to LA next month.

I am in love with this little backpack! All the pockets are in the right place and the frontmost pocket has a key lanyard built in so you don't lose your keys-- brilliant. It's a small bag but holds quite a bit. I was pleasantly surprised that it holds my 13" Macbook in the laptop compartment and my big Hydro Flask water bottle (21 oz) in the side pockets. I like the material-- it's matte and feels thick and strong. I just wished it came in black!

Like this small backpack. The water bottle holders on the side though are useless-- too small for any of the 10,000 water bottles I own. It's also a very tight fit for my 13" MacBook. Not a big deal, but you really need to shove it in/zip it. But all this is worth it to have a compact backpack.

I"ve been a fan of Timbuk2 for a while and have used their messenger bags. The Lug Recruit Pack is the first backpack by them I've owned, and it's a very compact and well designed bag. It's ideal for when you don't have a lot to carry so don't expect to be lugging around too many books. For daily light use though, the Lug Recruit Pack offers convenience and style with its organizational pockets and sleek profile. I would recommend to anyone who's looking for a daily use pack.

I use it daily. I work at a fitness center so it's my go-to bag for carrying my gym clothes, wallet, water bottle & other stuff. It's a great little bag. It has great sized compartments for whatever you might want to carry.. including a super tiny front compartment with a key strap & space for small items like lip balm & breath mints. There's also a padded inner pocket for headphones & chargers. I waited to review this one after having it for a couple of weeks because I wanted to use it on an extended weekend trip.. So I did! Everyone would see my bag & say "I love your cute tiny backpack." So, that's where the title of this review came from.. I'm a girl! If we're gonna have a functional bag, we want it to at least be cute.. so with more basic colors, smaller is definitely cuter. ;) My only disappointment was that the straps slid off of my shoulders.. I was wearing a nylon northface type coat, so I'm sure that's why! I really like it a lot! For it to be so small, it holds a great amount of stuff.. It's made of great quality materials and excellent zippers that may stick for the first few days, but it's a great bag! The zippers will work perfectly after a few days.

What I like most about this bag is that it's sturdy and not cheap looking. It's compact enough yet has just enough space for carrying all of the important things. I've decided to use this to replace my diaper bag. It has just enough pockets and areas to hold wipes, diapers, clothing, and snacks. I also like the dark. In comparing it with other products I've tried, I would say that this has matched up well. It's durable and feels like it'll stand up to whatever i throw at it. If this was available in lighter colors I would definitely purchase it. I was aware of the Timbuk2 brand but didn't know that they carried this Jet backpack. The brand is already notable for their products and I'm glad I was able to try this out. I have already told my friends and family about this bag. Like usual, Timbuk2 makes great bags but the Lug bag is too small to carry many things. If it was a bit larger would have been great.

This backpack is almost what I was looking for-not a lot of straps, clean lines, outside pockets for water/umbrella. It is just a little too small. My laptop almost doesn't fit and there is no room to bring a small lunch.

The backpack is very tiny. It is perfect to use as a purse or a backpack for a toddler, but there is no way you could use it to commute. My 13in MacBook Pro barely fit into it. It does have some great pockets and is high quality, but the size was disappointing. Everyday I commute with my lunch, gym clothes, and laptop and was really looking for a sleek low profile bag to carry/organize all my things. This was definitely not that. If you want an adult backpack check out the Parker.

I purchased this as a gift for my girlfriend who is a graduate student. The first day she tried to use it she wanted to fit both a water bottle and coffee thermos in the side pockets but could not do so with a notebook in the bag. It fits her 13" laptop, one notebook, and a single bottle, but that's pretty much it. Much smaller than other bags made for similarly sized laptops. It should not be advertised as a school backpack but only as a large purse as it lacks the functionality needed by a student carrying multiple books, bottles and other. All together, disappointed.
