I am more of a walker than I am a runner. These shoes are extremely light, to the point that they feel more like racing shoes than training/walking shoes. With that lightness comes a certain sacrifice in support and shock absorption. Having said that, these are still extremely comfortable shoes to walk in. I would highly recommend them for anything short of truly arduous hiking.

Second set, with the 1400v5 being my first. I personally don’t like big bulky sneakers, the 1400v6 is perfect for the gym, jogs, or power walks. Great pair of sneakers!

Best overall running shoe I have ever worn, and I've had many. Extremely light, great fit, comfortable, supportive.

Length was a half size too small. Width was fine. I didn't like the style after all. But this is strictly a matter of taste.

Seems solid, personally think I need to try wide though

The sole started to peel off of the heels of both shoes after 3 weeks of normal wear.

This is a terrific shoe I’ve been running in for years at about 25 miles a week. Fits to size but I always order a 1/2 size up to ensure I have enough toe room. It’s not a cushy shoe but has plenty of cushioning and allows a feel for the road. No clomping. It has a 10mm drop which is what keeps me from have a Achilles issues. Highly recommend if you want a solid trainer and don’t like the big cushy clomping shoes.

Love my new shoes for the gym. Stylish abs comfortable. Also great traction.

Last year, I purchased the 1400v5 in sz 9.5 and had to exchange them for a half size up. I purchased the v6 this year in the same size as the v5 (sz 10), but they were too large for my feet. I exchanged them for my regular sz 9.5 and they fit great! The v6 are true to size.

I bought a pair last October in April the sole was coming off one. There was no problem returning the shoes for a free pair.

These are the perfect shoe for my hub’s treadmill running! Look great, too!

Light, great functional running shoe.

After purchasing, my son wore them for 2 months and the front by the toe started ripping on both sneakers. Now the sole is separating from the fabric in the front of both shoes. For almost $100, I expected these to last much longer than 2 months.

The sizing of this pair of shoes couldn’t have been worse. They must have given the brand new intern with no experience the job of assigning these shoes a width. Such a disappointment for people like me who have been cursed with super wide feet and rely on New Balance for ALL of their athletic shoe needs. To add insult to injury, I’m currently living in Costa Rica where men’s shoes rarely go above size 11 and wide shoes can only be found at Payless (and we know the quality of shoe that store carries.) A friend was in the US on business and was nice enough to agree to have the shoes sent to his hotel so he could carry them back in his luggage to CR on his return. I’m carless here, so shoes are incredibly important. Pay attention, New Balance and Zappos. There are people out there that need you to get the sizing right on EVERY SHOE because we’re in situations where returning our purchase isn’t an option.

Did not disappoint.

I racewalk mostly with a bit of running now and then. I need a flexible but sturdy shoe because I put in a lot of miles training for marathons and half marathons. I wore another brand for MANY years, but they stopped making the model I liked. I tried these and like them enough to come back for a second pair. They are lightweight but supportive for my racewalking and hold up for the running also.

My favorite shoe. I've been a user since version 2, about 7 years now.. I wear them always- for my runs, errands, hiking, at work in the warehouse, even in the snow with my insulated socks. They're super light and easy on my sensitive Achilles. They do tend to wear out quickly. I usually buy three pair a year. I'm a little worried that a version seven hasn't come out. It's making me think they're going to go obsolete. Hope not.

Perfect shoe in every way.

Bought these for my husband who has a sensitive foot. These were perfect, didn't bother his arch, very cool looking shoes too!

The fit was just as expected and runes true to size. The colors are vibrant and catch your eye. Overall, very pleased with this shoe.

Great running shoe. The 1400’s have been one of my favorites for a few years now and this is now my 2nd pair. Good lightweight shoe with a decent amount of cushion. Note that this shoe is probably a step away from being a race flat so don’t expect a ton of cushion or every very much for that matter. These did take a few miles to break-in but they’ve been awesome ever since.

I bought this pair of running shoes because I was already using the exact same model and really liked them. Manufacturers tend to change models every year making very difficult to find and stick with one that you like. So the most important thing for me was to find the same model, now a year old, in stock. I tried from a couple of other sources at a lower price, but they were already out of stock. Zappos was the only source I could find that had my size in stock.

Ultra light and super comfy... feel like a kid, "these shoes make me run faster"

Great neutral running shoe! I barely feel them on and they look great. Best for pavement running.

Excellent running shoes. Very light, not too much cushioning - pretty much in line with my barefoot style for long-distance running -. And right width. Highly recommended for a marathon.
