I've been hunting for a backpack for a while now, mostly for traveling and I was actually introduced to this brand by my husband. Love the quality, feels like it'll last for years. I bought this size and the 30L subterra to compare and the 30L was more suited to what I wanted it for. This bag would be good for a daily commute, but a tad bit too small for me for my needs.

The is a great commuter bag-- very durable, water resistant, comfortable when wearing the straps, and low profile. Not too many pockets so I can find my stuff.

This would be a fabulous back pack if it had more room. The zippered opening of the main section is not large enough, zip only opens halfway. You can definitely put a laptop in fine, good padding, but the padding takes up too much depth of the main section, leaving little room for anything like clothing. The bottom gusset of the whole bag too narrow. The small top pocket is extremely small, might take glasses, a wallet and a phone. The color, fabrication and the design are great. The padded and contoured shoulder straps are excellent. So great for a day pack/work bag maybe, but not at all for a weekend bag. I am sad about this as outwardly it is just what I was looking for. Will have to send it back.

I was looking for a small backpack big enough to take my laptop, DSLR camera + lens, toiletries, some clothes and a downjacket. The space underseat of Air Canada is very small comparing with other airlines, so this backpack suited perfectly there, leaving me some room for my feet. Is not the most comfortable but its very sturdy and easy to clean.

Bought it in store a month ago. It's an excellent well rounded backpack for office because it's sleek and has decent organization including dedicated laptop compartment with padding etc. Also the fit is great at least for me. But it's lightweight enough so I even use it for daily hikes in the mountains. Materials feel very solid. I also like the minimalistic approach - no extra hanging straps or pockets outside. The side pockets are useful for cellphone / keys / water bottle. Now about the cons, imho, the internal mesh pockets if used for multiple accessories / cables will be in the way of other stuff. I only use those for small objects like single cable or power bank. But that's not a deal breaker at all. It's just that these pockets are more useful when they are in a dedicated separate compartment not in the main one.

I ordered the Mineral 23L version. It sure is a sturdy bag and the right size for my needs. Whether travel or baby supplies or work, this bag can hold it all. Although I paid a pricey CAD 150 + tax, it is a long term investment and I feel it will probably last till my infant goes to high school. Big fan and will surely recommend.

I was looking for something small when traveling for business, this is the perfect size and slimness.
Holds my laptop, tablet, chargers, notebooks, plus a few extras.
If you need more space I would opt for one of the larger models of this pack, 30L perhaps.
But honestly it is very solid and well built and perfect for what I need it for. Plus it looks great!
Nice work Thule!

I needed a new backpack for work that would act as my daily use bag. I always liked the look of Thule backpacks, and once I looked at the features, I was sold. I was a bit skeptical of the color scheme (blue with orange highlights and interior), but once I received it, I was impressed. The photos don't do it justice. Great looking, comfortable pack that is extremely well constructed and has the right compartments for everything I need. I am a bit of a backpack junkie, getting a new one every few years, and this is by far the best I've owned. I'll stick with Thule from now on, without a doubt. Great product, great company - rugged, stylish, and all the features anyone would need. Excellent!

I was indecisive in selecting the backpack for me. I want to use it for everyday work. it took me more than two weeks to make up my mind. in my mind was Thule, Bellboy or Homesite... but lastly I picked Thule Subterranean Backpack 23L due to it fits to my style and wants. it looks modern and stylish... its quite expensive but worth it.

I was excited to get my hands on this bag, but unfortunately that is where the excitement stopped. The bag is far too narrow for it to be functional. While advertised as 23L it actually has less usable space than the 16L bag that I was carrying before. With the length of the bag being so long, and with it being so narrow, along with a zipper that does not go down far enough, getting anything from the bottom of the bag is a real chore. When the interior pockets have items in them, getting to anything in the main pocket is really difficult because the items in the pockets occupy the open space. I would not recommend this bag if you regularly carry more than a laptop and a notepad.
