Man do these feel great on my particular feet. They took a minute to break-in, curiously. But after they figured out how my particular feet bend, they're the best shoe I have for just about anything - travel, walkin in the desert, walkin on river rocks, walkin in the City and just standing @ my sit/stand workstation. Real glad I took the time to let them mold to my feet. Not the prettiest shoe and also not the ugliest.

After walking about 5 miles on pavement and smooth trails I find the Lowa Strata EVO to be perhaps, the most comfortable shoe I own. The fore foot flexes when you walk and it feels like (maybe even better) than my workout/gym shoes. At the same time the sole is stiff enough that it should do very well on rocky trails. It is marketed as hiking shoe but it's polished design should fit in anywhere.
