I have been brand loyal to The North Face for over 15 years! My high school backpack from 2005 is still in prestine condition. It was only right to purchase our sons first "big kid" bookbag from The North Face. He loved the personalized pins!

Our grandson requested a North Face backpack for his 8th birthday. Staff at our local North Face store in Woodmere (Beachwood, OH) assisted me in ordering the perfect Youth style for him. All by phone, which made shopping/selection very easy! Then they emailed me when it arrived at the store so that we could pick it up. Much appreciated service! Grandson was thrilled! All good!

Firstly, I know this is a youth bag but it was the perfect size for me (an adult) on our recent trip to Disney. It's also a great carry on for flights as it fits well under seats without taking up all the leg room and can fit a lot inside it despite it's small appearance. I like the patches too. I can only imagine how much kids would enjoy it too!

North Face quality is very good and my granddaughter loved the pattern, but the Youth size is a little small. If your child needs one for several books and misc. items, I would recommend another selection.

Solid construction everything I expected from a quality NF backpack. It withstands the use and abuse from a 5yr old compared to budget backpacks.

Not a hiker- but it was perfect for my trip at Universal Orlando! Perfect size for the lockers and it can hold a lot. I would buy it again, but won't need to because it'll last a long time.

I bought both my kids these for school this year. They've lasted the entire year with no rips, tears etc. However being both in middle school, they both have a lot of books, notebooks, papers, folders to carry. Also add their lunch box and water bottle. This backpack wasn't big enough for either of them. My daughter has to carry her lunch bag and my son has to cram his into the backpack. Their water bottles barely fit in the pock6and my son has a hard time everyday. Next year I'm going to have to look in the adult backpack section I guess for a bigger 20inch size. Overall it's a great backpack and would be perfect for those with smaller loads.

Heavy duty and tons of pockets for the little one to store his random toys. Worth the higher price.

We really like this backpack. It's perfect for toddlers. I don't see this being good for older kids. Wouldn't fit a lot. But it's perfect for what we need.

This pack is adorable! Stylish and same great quality of its bigger brother Recon. It's just too cute! Perfect size for toddler and up. Very satisfied with purchase and worth every penny.

So far we love this backpack. The mesh side pockets for drinks are a must with kids, since they often forget to close water bottles properly. The mesh front pocket is nice too and I like the fact that there's a buckle to close it. Zippers seem great. Bought it to replace a 9- year old North Face kids backpack used daily until finally it was time to retire it.

The best choice I made for my 2 year old. I'm constantly on the go and had a bulky baby bag that was driving me crazy. I purchased this one and it's been the best investment ever. I have always been a loyal North Face customer since I was in junior high. My children and husband also own many items as well. If you have a toddler and are looking for something that's easy to carry around and has plenty of compartment space, this is your bag! I get a lot of complements and definitely love it! My little one will definitely be using this bag for a long time!

I bought this for my son to replace the 2 previous cheap kids backpacks I bought him for this school year. This seems much much sturdier. It has lots of great storage pockets, sturdy zippers, 2 mesh water bottle pockets, and a big front mesh pocket. It fits well and hold his lunch and snack bags, plus folders. I also removed the patches and sewed on some patches my son picked out.

I love this backpack for my 1st grader. It is perfectly sized for a couple of library books, lunch, water bottle and also has pockets for gloves, hand sanitizer, and her other knickknacks. Well designed and high quality.

Truly the perfect book bag for my tiny 8 year old friend. The added bonus of having the strap on the front really makes it possible for the bag to stay on her tiny shoulders. Very pleased!!!!
