Very comfortable boot. Received some compliments. The natural CXL great with jeans and chinos. Not the best color with slacks or a suit. The cork Nitrite sole is not my favorite. I wore it twice and I had my cobbler add a mini lug sole to them. Not noticeable at all. I wanted better traction even if I’m not using this boot as a work boot. The tongue on the boot is not gusseted like the Dodgeville. A deep puddle and your foot will get wet. Other than that it’s a beautiful boot and I made just a few mods.

Great pair of boots but do take some time to break in. I have another pair of Thorogood boots that also needed a break in period. Once broken in they are extremely comfortable. The insoles on these have some moderate cushioning but lack arch support. I swapped out the insoles with a pair of thin (no cushioning) Sole insoles. These boots tend to run at least a half size large. If you tend to wear thick boot socks or swap out for a thicker insole/orthotic then ordering your usual size might be ok. The boots appear lighter in color compared to the pictures here (more like a tan than a light brown). Overall a great boot and made in the USA.

This is a work boot - make no mistake. It has a supportive insole, but not cushioned. They are leather, take some wear to break in. Extremely well and strongly made. Arch support is moderate. These are not lounging or wear-to-the game footgear - but are excellent in a physical work environment. They are 1/2 to a full size large (length). My foot is a full size 12 - cuts the line on the measuring device - and I bought an 11 1/2, which is just a tad long even yet. Width is excellent for a length fitting boot.

Bought these bad boys because I’m learning to weld. They’re super comfortable and my feet never get sore after wearing them for long periods of time. I also like the vintage look these boots have. Thorogood is a quality company that makes quality shit, won’t be my last pair.

I think the Beloit is a decent boot. The Horween leather is very nice, but I am confused by the information on the inside of the boot that states "Genuine Leather Uppers" . Isn't "Genuine" leather not the best kind of leather, i.e. that Full Grain or Top Grain leather is preferable? I also noted a lot of loose threads inside the boot (vamp area). As the fit goes, the length and width seemed good but I experienced excessive heel slippage. The soles are very comfortable. I have never tried cork soles and now I appreciate them. I think for the money, you can do better.

I received my shoes and I can not complain about the boot or materials as I have many pairs of these shoes. The issue is that I obviously received a pair of boots that were previously returned to Zappos. The toes of the boots have leather creases showing where the boots were worn and the soles are scuffed. In addition, none of the original packing or hang tags that normally come with these boots were contained within the shipment. Very disappointing when paying for a first run pair of boots, when it it obvious that the boots were previously worn.

Someone walked a mile in these shoes. It wasn't me. I can't believe Zappos would send these out as new boots. Unacceptable and disappointing. If I wanted used shoes I would shop on Ebay. I can't comment on the fit as I put them right back in the box after seeing them. Understand these are nice boots and my gripe is with Zappos and not Thorogood. Zappos item information also said these were leather lined. Not. No lining in the shaft and a cloth lining in the foot. Hate it that I wasted my 10% off coupon on this. This was a zero star transaction.
