Comfortable but questionable quality for a expensive boot.

These are beautiful boots! ..but they run at least 1 full size too big. Size down a full size as a place to start.

Amazing - instantly great fit right out of the box. I will absolutely be ordering these again the future if they prove to hold up over time.

This is well-made, tough boot. Stiff but roomy. I have a high volume foot: wide, thick, big ankles... I usually take a 10 M or a 9 1/2 EE in boots. I originally tried a 9 1/2 M, but it was way to roomy. Something I never experience in that size. I got a 9 M and it still just a hair on the roomy side, but comfortable. The boot is stiff, made from high quality Horween leather in Wisconsin.

It's always funny to write a review about boots that I've owned a couple of days but here are some first impressions. I have a huge bias towards American made footwear for reasons I hope I don't need to explain. Thorogood has an awesome story and for many casual boot buyers is an undiscovered gem. I have been wearing their 6 inch Moccasin toed boots for sometime now and they're just awesome. The Dodgeville boot is another gem. I've bought and returned similar boots from Zappos from the other iconic American brands because they just weren't what I was looking for. Now these . . . I think they are a great mix of timeless style (love the cap toe), quality construction, and comfort. I particularly appreciate the roomy toe box. I wouldn't wear them with a suit and I wouldn't wear them digging a ditch, but they go with pretty much everything else. The one caution, and another reviewer spoke about this, they run really big. FWIW, I wear a 12 in Allen Edmonds, fit nicely in an 11.5 Redwing boot, and wound up in an 11 in this boot. Weirdly, I wear at 12 in the Moccasin Toe boot I was just bragging on. Go figure.

I have had these boots for 24 hours and I have never had a pair of shoes or boots as comfortable right out of the box. I can only imagine how great they will feel after a break in period. I ordered a half size down from my usual 10D and they are a perfect fit. Beautiful boots with superior construction.

I measure a 10 on the Brannock device. I wear a 9.5 (with insole), in a Red Wing Iron Ranger. In Thorogood 1892, I also wear a 9.5 with insert and they’re the best fitting boot I’ve ever put on my feet. These are so comfortable and the leather is SUPERB. A handmade USA boot, what more could you ask for really?

Amazing boot! Super impressed with quality and craftsmanship of this brand. I’ve had many boots including Alden and redwing. Nothing beats the quality. Had never heard of Thorogood before a week ago but I’m almost certain my next boot will have there name on it.
