I love these shoes. They are my third pair of Josef Seibel shoes, and are the most comfortable of all, mostly because of the way they fit my foot. The straps across the top keep the shoes snug on my foot, so my foot doesn't slip forward. Also, the toe box is wide enough so that my toes have plenty of room. I should add that I have some neuropathy, so my feet are particularly sensitive and need shoes that are comfortable yet stay on securely. I plan to order these in another color.

I own an older version of this sandal in tan and really love how comfortable they are. I should have ordered the same size when ordering these, but went with Zappo's recommendation based on my other purchases and went up a size to a 39. When I rectified the problem and sized down to the 38's, I found them to fit like my other sandals. I think they are cuter in tan than the black that I bought, but I'm a senior and comfort takes priority with my arthritic feet.

These fit like a glove! Great look and great comfort. I wear a 10 1/2 which is IMPOSSIBLE to find these days. I love the EUROPEAN sizing as it gets closest to ACTUAL foot size!

I was looking for a pair of comfortable closed toe sandals and these fit the bill. My usual size is 8.5 M in Munros and Clarks, 39 N in Birkenstocks and 9 in Crocs, so a size 9 was recommended for me and it's a perfect fit. I've worn them for two days straight now while walking in Cancún.. They are lightweight and fine for casual wear.

I would recommend this shoe if you have a slim/narrowish foot. I understand why "comfort" shoes usually come with generous widths, but they can be uncomfortable for those of us who are sloshing around because of thin feet. I have purchased Joseph Seibel before (Caspian) and that shoe was also slim but not too narrow. I appreciate finally having a shoe that fits without padding.

I ordered 2 different pair of Seibel shoes. 36 used to fit perfectly. Both pair were too large. Very stiff also. Just not the same. Super cute but sadly am returning. Thank you Zappos for all the years you've been great about all my returns!!

Absolutely love the/style look of these shoes, but I have a hammer toe on my left foot and the shoebox was a bit too low! Other than that dang toe the shoe fit well and I will keep them in a minute if that toe didn’t hurt in the first fit!. The black leather is beautiful!

These sandals are ridiculously comfortable. The other day I was on my feet for 6 hours straight with no chance to sit down. I was very glad to have worn shoes that were comfortable.

These shoes are adorable. stylish, well made, true to size etc. However I had surgery in January to reconstruct my left foot and ankle, so sad to say, I cannot wear these. Thank you Zappos for your awesome service. I shall keep trying until I find shoes that fit!

I returned these shoes. They fit well and were comfortable but were supremely ugly. The toe is sharply angled which does not show in the website photos. They might look okay or nice on a longer foot, but that weird angled toe looked bad on my size 7 foot. The color is not as shown or described either. They are a dull, medium dark brown

Love this shoe. Can wear it all day and night in the summer, and I'm on my feet a lot. I float between size 5.5 and 6 and the standard 36 fits me well. Hope they keep making this. In all honesty, I just purchased back up. It's a terrific shoe.

I was so happy to get notified that the shoe I wanted was restocked. These shoes are so comfortable and cute. The brown is rustic, and I would highly recommend these shoes for anyone that has problems with high arches, or a long second toe.

I generally love Josef Seibel shoes -- they usually work well for my feet. This pair, however, is not comfortable. The grommets on the outside toe bases dig into the sides of my feet. I'm also surprised and disappointed in the color -- they were labeled as "Bordeaux," so I imagined a rich, deep reddish brown, but the shoes are instead a distressed-looking tannish brown. I'm returning these.

Too long, too narrow, strap too short to go over high instep

I was hoping that these were the ones. I wore them for a few minutes and they were comfortable but the cutouts on the side of the toe area were very uncomfortable. They are very attractive

EU sizes fit me differently. In a Birkenstock I range from 37-38, in Hafflanger a solid 37, in US sizes 7.5-8. With this sandal I chose a 37, and I could have probably used a 37.5 or 38. Since I will be wearing no socks I'll make due. It's absolutely adorable!

I love the style of this shoe. The leather was not as soft as I hoped it would be, but I still love leather for my shoes because it will stretch to fit my feet. As far as some of the comments about the lack of arch support, I have high arches and I haven't had a problem with this. The support seems quite adequate for me, and I have very fussy feet lol. I think the shoes are very comfortable and cute! And they go with anything!

to small ordered wrong size

I love these shoes for work. Very comfortable. The color is not like the picture though. It’s more of a dusty brown like you’ve been walking around a western town in Texas in the early 1900’s before roads were built.
