I wear a size 7.5 in womens. I bought the small, i think? They fit fine. Wish they were more colorful, the grey is dull but I needed new wool socks.

so far I am happy with these socks, good support, good fit and feel. My first Columbia merino wool socks lasted many years, I'm hoping for the same with these.

Typically wear a 8-1/2 or 9 shoe so the Medium sock worked out great. Very comfortable, wicking as intended and paired with the right shoe/boot works in concert with one another for almost any type of activity. Whether a long stroll in the neighborhood or an extended hike, they perform flawlessly.

I have several pairs of these socks and they never disappoint. I have snowshoed all over, including Glacier, and they keep my feet warm and wick moisture away. I very recently wore them two separate times hiking in my regular Altras and encountered several miles of unplanned snow. While occasionally post-holing through miles and miles of trail, snow kept getting into my shoes, but somehow these socks would absorb the moisture and my feet stayed fine. I also put these socks on after traversing a small river to continue hiking and although my feet were soaking when I put them back on, my feet felt dry and warm again within minutes. I love these socks!

I wear a 9 in almost every shoe, boot, sandal, etc. so the Medium size was the perfect fit. I paired the sock with the Columbia Vitesse mid shoe and what a combination. Who would thought that the right sock and shoe would be a match made in heaven? Comfortable for a 6 mile stroll in 50 degree weather. Sock was comfortable all day, feet perspired but the wicking action sucked it away. Fantastic sock and definitely a recommend to others.

These socks were so warm which was exactly what I was looking for. Had to pack light so I was only able to pack 2 pair for 6 days if snowy activities. I alternated the pair and my feet weren't sweaty or stinky at all. Very very warm, would highly recommend. I wear a size 9.5 and they were a great size

Very warm socks even in sub-zero temps! Did not need to double up at all.

These look a little short in the picture, so I wasn't sure if I would like them as I usually like to have taller socks to protect my legs from abrasions. However, these socks actually came up to the middle of my leg and were wide enough that they didn't cut off circulation like many socks do these days. The foot area was very structured with lots of padding in the ball of the foot and the toe area. However, the heel area has no padding at all, which is a little weird, but fortunately my shoes have adequate heel support so I could work around it. There is a strip around the heel/ankle area with open knitting for circulation, which is good for ventilation. These socks pilled at the first wash, so the nylon is poor quality, but I decided to keep them anyway since I liked the length and the width of the sock.

These socks are super comfortable and form very well on your feet. They have a slight compression feel to them which feels awesome in your shoes. I wear a size 8 shoe but ordered a size small sock and they fit great.

I needed a couple of more pair of wool socks to wear with hiking boots on photography trips in colder climates. I wore these for several days in New Zealand recently and they held up well. I aired them at night and wore them straight for 4 days and had no pilling or odors. Held up well in the wash no significant shrinking. Cushioning was average, not overly plush but not thin. Good socks! Fit as expected. I wear a 9 boot and sixe a Medium worked well.

I purchased these for my wife, so I could get mine back. She walks dogs and needless to say we have had some cold mornings. She loves the socks, keeps her feet warm and comfortable.
I used the men's version on 42 miles of the AT this last summer and again, love the product and use them for all my hiking. I highly recommend the product.

A good fitting sock that I use for outdoor working. This mid calf stay put and feels good on my feet and isn't overly thick inside boots.

These are really nice, comfortable socks. I was worried they would shrink in the washer and dryer, but they came out just fine. They look nice too. My only criticism would be the "ankle support" where the material/stitching is thinner. I don't believe for a second that any sock is genuinely going to provide significant support, so I would prefer more padding in this area. Don't get me wrong - the socks are great - I just think they could be even better without this gimmick.

From chilly mornings in camp to long days in waders and floatplanes, these socks will perform. They will wick moisture and keep you comfortable. They are great for multiple purposes which makes them a must if space is at a premium.

When I ordered these socks I only ordered one pair because I wanted to be sure they fit properly and worked well with my current hiking boots. I am extremely satisfied with the quality and set and functionality of this product. I will be ordering more that is for sure!

It seems as if Columbia has gradually cheapened some of their products over the last several years. These Hike Medium socks are about the same weight as the Columbia Hiker Lite socks that are finally wearing out after about 7 years of use. Also, these Hike Mediums are noticeably lighter in weight than the Hiker Medium socks of 7 years ago. Still, the quality seems excellent, and we'll just have to see how they hold up.
