Very nice bag. It’s a good size without being huge. I consider it a medium sized bag but others might think it was small. Nice squishy leather,not heavy and has a nice wide strap. It holds a wallet, tissues, keys and a large phone plus normal everyday things.

I love this black Melissa from Frye. This one does not scratch as easily as some of their other leathers. Perfect size for me. I’m 5”1 and it hangs perfectly on the last hole. I have this same bag in cognac and I use it all the time. I like Frye bags because they are casual, roomy and look nice. This bag is not heavy.

I have this bag in cognac and I love it so much I got it in black for winter. This bag is not heavy and holds a small wallet, sunglasses in a hard case, and a large phone. It’s a nice size, not small but certainly not huge. Frye makes the best bags. I have several Brahmin, Dooney and Brighton but keep coming back to Frye because they are casual but look nice.

This is a beautiful bag and I would have kept it in a heartbeat EXCEPT that the zipper on the main compartment was extremely sticky in one spot. To get it to open, I sort of had to hold the purse just right and fuss with it. To me, it was not a good quality zipper and given the cost of the bag, there was no way I was going to keep it (or exchange it) if it wasn't going to work from day 1. This was a disappointment. The search for a cute, quality bag continues. For the record, the description of the bag is a little off. I believe it states that there is only an inside pocket on this purse. It doesn't state that there is a nice little pocket on the outside that would be good for a cellphone. You can sort of see it in the picture, but to be clear, it's there.

Bought this item twice. Once locally then from Zappos. Both purses had to be returned because the stitching where the strap connects to the bag came loose. Very disappointed.

Love this bag. Fits my iphone8 and wallet perfectly. My sunglasses fit without their case and can still zip the bag. The exterior pocket is wide but not deep. The interior pocket is nice, but when the rest of the bag is full, kinda hard to put anything substantial in it. Would buy again!

The khaki is a color to go with everything. It scratches but that’s the look and what you get with this kind of leather. It’s quite the difference between the smaller version, grey purse, of the Melissa crossbody. If I had to chose which one would get the most use between the two I’d say this one, khaki, and I like small purses

I bought this bag with the main purpose of having a small bag for my personal items when touring Europe (Holland and Greece). So I needed a bag that I could dress up for Amsterdam and for fun nights at clubs on the beach. It worked for everything. If I could remake this bag, I’d make the zipper a little smoother running and make it about 1” wider so when I packed it full of things like my phone, wallet, sunglasses, etc - you wouldn’t see the shapes of items bulging from the side. But other than its narrow build, I got great use of it and can’t wait to use it more so it gets all worn and aged. I also have to add that I felt secure with it while traveling. The sturdy leather and design really made me feel comfortable that I wasn’t going to get pickpocketed.

I got the ice color that is a lighter gray and was on sale at the time. I love the color and the leather. I haven't had a bag this color, but it seems to go with everything. The strap is adjustable and perfect. The bag is the perfect size for me. I like that it has an outside pocket that my iPhone 8+.

I love this bag! I usually carry a Melissa tote but needed something smaller. This has been perfect for being on the run. Quality is great and I love the color!

I love this bag! The color is unique and this bag is the perfect size to hold my large wallet, glasses, keys, earphones, USB cord and a small cosmetic bag for lipstick and perfume. And there is still a little room left over so it doesn't bulge out. The leather was a bit stiff, but within 2 weeks of wear it's softened up. I have a small stain from were it must be rubbing on my hip, and it looks a bit blue, so maybe it's from my jeans, hope it comes out with saddle soap. My only complaint is that I wish the strap was about 2-3" longer, I'm only 5'5" and would like it to rest a little lower on me. Very happy and am considering getting more Frye items in this color.

I love this bag! I was trying to find a crossbody bag that would hold my essentials plus sunglasses & not get too big or heavy. This is the perfect size & the outside pocket is so handy for my phone. The zipper was a little stiff at first, but I ran some beeswax along the metal teeth (from my sewing supplies) & now it works smoothly without any trouble. I highly recommend this purse!

I love this purse! I have a bad shoulder so do like a crossbody bag most days. This one is a perfect size for me. I can fit a small Dooney wallet, large iPhone, reading glasses, sunglasses, compact, lipstick, and a *small* lotion. That's all I need day-to-day. The peacock color is a very unusual shade of blue and I love it. It feels like an excellent quality leather. I have some Frye shoes, but this is my first Frye purse (but definitely not my last). I highly recommend this bag if you want a thin, easy to to carry crossbody that is also useful.

I love this bag! At first I was a little nervous that it might be too small since I was transitioning from a huge diaper bag, but it fits all my necessities along with a snack or two for my little one. The leather is high quality and now that I have been using it for a month it has become softer and even better. It is wearing well with any scratches just fading into the leather beautifully. I am so happy with my purchase!

Love this purse! Its casual yet put-together which is exactly what I wanted. I have it in mustard and the leather gets marked up easily from scratches, but that just adds to its rustic charm.

Great bag! It perfectly met my expectations. It's not too big or too small. It fits a large wallet, sunglasses, keys and cell phone comfortably. It also has an outside slip pocket (perfect for my phone or keys) and inside zip pocket. The strap is adjustable and comfortable. The bag is slim, stylish & well made. Frye never disappoints me.

Very nice bag and very lightweight. Good shoulder strap that stays put. I got the gray and it is gorgeous. Not huge like some bags but not itty bitty either. It holds a fair amount of stuff . Easy to open and close.

Beautiful purse. Very nice size. However, I'm 5'9 and had the strap as long as it would go and the purse fell at a very awkward spot. I hate to return it because it's so pretty and had plenty of room for my stuff but it just hits me in the wrong place.

Everything (color, quality) is great. Its a beautiful mauve color that goes with everything I own. The only thing is that I wish it had a little more girth so I can fit a little more stuff...

Black doesn’t feel like real leather

This is a great little bag! So glad I bought it! Love the true taupe color. Perfect for when you don’t need to carry a lot. Crossbody strap is really nice.

This is my first ever leather purse(debating on the ethics of it, but in the end decided that I would rather use by-products of an industry than let them go to waste). Anyway, I am glad I chose Frye. The quality is top notch and I am surprised how much I love this purse. I`ve only had it a couple of weeks but I am loving that it is slowly getting soft and worn(scratches are normal and charming). Strap is great and adjustable, feels substantial. Zipper works well without sticking and it is large enough to fit wallet, iPhone, keys, some makeup, hand cream without feeling too full. Not too big, though, that it feels clunky. I will get a lot of use out of this bag. Definitely recommend!

As always, beautiful leather, but just a bit too small for me
