I have been an avid backpacker for over 20 years and have never had a more perfect pack! I love everything about this bag. It is slick and so well designed and ergonomic, even with packing to volume/max weight I can barley feel the bag. I carry most of the gear for my son and I and this bag is the perfect size for 5+ nights. Love the minimalist approach - it is super streamlined and is the least bulky bag I have seen or owned even at capacity - for me it works perfect slightly larger volume than others I've owned but I don't like anything in the outside of my pack and the added volume is compensated for by superior design. I hope this lasts me forever!

Extremely light and comfortable pack. Osprey knows how to make packs for women.

I recently completed the Pacific Crest Trail. Big water/food hauls made my light-suspension pack a misery to carry, and about 500 miles into the hike, I switched to the Ariel Pro. What a difference! Yes, this pack is about 1.5 lbs. heavier than my previous pack, but OMG the difference in comfort level and overall capability made the switch so worthwhile! No more sore shoulders and lower back pain when I had a load up. On lighter carries, the side straps allowed me to cinch the pack down to a more suitable size. After 1800+ miles with the pack, there were a few irritants. First, please Osprey please! Offer an XPac or similarly waterproof version of your backpacks -- the liner/cover combo is cumbersome and adds weight. A zippered inner sleeve/pouch in the body of the backpack (not the brain) for permits, credit cards, and other sundries would also be quite helpful.

I've put this pack through a lot for a few years now and it is still holding up great! It is super comfy for carrying heavy loads long distances. I use it for climbing mostly, but it's been on a few multiple night backpacking trips as well. So glad I spent the extra money- this pack is worth every penny.

I brought this pack to the crag a few times; it worked, but I prefer someting smaller/less structured/ more pockets. Not really it's prime scene. Brought the pack on a three day backpacking trip; Amazing! did everthing great. I wasn't quite ready for the minamalist design, and I found packing difficult. Brought this pack on a six day backpacking trip; Absolutley blew me out of the water! I easliey fit everything inside. Made the heavy loads extremely managible. I can't wait till I get to use it again! Only downsides; I wish the brain served as a day pack. I also noticed: if I store my rain jacket (or anything) inbetween the main body of the pack and the brain, the pack will make a creak-ing noise. Not the hardest to tune out, also easy to fix -> just don't store there.

This backpack is as described, they did a superb job designing this one, I'm glad I bit this bullet.

I searched for customer reviews on the Ariel Pro 65 and was amazed there weren't any, until now. From day hikes to solo multi day treks in the wilderness backcountry the Ariel Pro 65 is the only backpack for me, It's super light, streamline and has just what you need and nothing you don't. I was amazed how well it carried on my solo 2 night trip into the Adirondacks, 30 pounds literarily felt like 15 pounds. I've tried other packs with the same gear and supplies and had to take breaks since the pack weight became unbearable. It's a rather expensive backpack but well worth the money! I gave it 5 out of 5 stars for good reason, it's simply a light weight, no frills backpack that will keep you going on the trails all day and night!

Not a fan. Feel like I can't fit all of my things into it. Especially for multi-day mountaineering expeditions. Would be great if there was a pocket in the front and 2 water bottle pockets. Pretty disappointed honestly

My outings contain a lot of bushwacking and rugged terrain, so I was excited about the streamlined, minimalist qualities of this bag (which it delivers on), but the bag is not nearly as durable as it is described to be. I've used the pack for the past two hiking and ski-touring seasons and I have numerous nicks/tears in the fabric of the body and the zipper on the hip pouch has broken. In terms of comfort, the hip belt is great but the shoulder straps are very stiff and uncomfortable. I haven't yet found a good way to load/adjust the pack so that the shoulder straps don't dig into the collarbones.
