I love this backpack, and the Canopy Green color is lovely. Extremely well-constructed with a lot of snap buckles that keep everything safe. Lots of clips if you need to clip other items onto the backpack. Very spacious and comfortable. There are plenty of pockets. Two side pockets, one front mesh pocket. The drawstring for the main compartment is difficult to figure out at first, but the backpack opens wide if you unknot the drawstring cord, pull the rest of the cord through the top of the open section, and pull the drawstring mechanism down.

I work in the wilderness therapy field, so my gear is my lifeline. It is VERY hard to find woman's packs that have enough volume for what I do. (What I carry is vastly different than when I go on personal trips.) This pack is enormously more comfortable than any unisex pack I've had--the only other packs with the volume I need. I would say it has average durability overall. I actually like the little day pack. One persnickity thing i don't like is that I've never been able to easily get my water bladder into "it's spot" on the pack when it and/or the pack is full. I either have to put it in the main compartment or leave it at home and carry extra water bottles. My main issue though is with the buckles. On the first shift I worked with it the buckle the brain clips to the pack with broke (the one that is 'riveted' to the pack). I sent it back and they fixed it. (Slight damage to the coating of the frame when it came back but nothing major.) Two shifts later the same buckle broke again, this time sheering in half. Not having a backpack to borrow this time i waited another shift to contact the repair service and on that shift the buckle on the other side of the brain broke too. When I contacted osprey covid was in full swing and their repair center was making respirators, which is awesome, though had me tying the brain on with p-cord. Which I ended up doing for the next 11 months. I finally am sending it back again for the repairs now that i have another pack to borrow...so fingers crossed. With that said, customer service has been awesome. Overall I would recommend this pack...And make a plea to osprey to increase the quality of their buckles and/or reconfigure how they are attached to the pack. Also, more options for high volume packs for women would be nice.

This bag is good for traveling. I use it as a day bag or my main bag when traveling. Note that the detachable day bag is to small for 1 camera body and 2 lenses plus a lunch and water. The day bag is also not as durable so do not add excessive weight to it. In order for the bag to stay around your hips you must have at least 10lbs. in at at all times. Because the hip belt is 4.5 inches in width from top to bottom it may be uncomfortable for those with a narrow/slim bone structure. There is a little bit of an arch support. You should put this bag into another bag in order to put it under the plane. That way the straps don't get caught on the conveyer belts at the airport. It is kind of a nuisance but worth protecting the bag. If is also a pain if security has to go through it because it's not like a suitcase where it can be unzipped and the entire inside can quickly be seen. Overall it was worth buying.

I am an outdoor instructor doing mountaineering, climbing, and backpacking. This pack has been to the desert to the alpine mountains this summer (2018). Definitely took some beatings! Overall, it has fit well for all my courses from 7-25 days. 7 days I had lots of extra room, 20 days was maxed out and heavy. Overall, the fit has been great, comfortable, and has stayed pretty durable for what I have put it through. Very thoughtful pockets (thank you, Osprey!). The reason I did four stars was because of the brain to day pack. The day pack buckles are pretty weak and come undone- resulting in me having to tie two straps together around the buckle. Overall a great pack! Hard to find a women's pack this large and well made.

This pack carries a lot of stuff, but the daypack top is a total waste of space and weight because you can't remove it unless you want to lose the whole top and that drives us a bit crazy. This daypack should somehow be easily removed without losing the whole top and small pockets as not every trip needs a daypack, sometimes you just want to carry more weight for a short trip with a kid, more gourmet food, etc. Also, the back panel seems very old and heavy and doesn't aerate well. I do like the stretchy front and side pockets and I love that the torso/waist belt are interchangeable to customize size. This pack seems like it might need an update as it's the only women's pack that is this size (85), yet seems antiquated and needing some updates! I do love Osprey though - this is our fourth Osprey pack, so keep up the good work and please provide an innovative heavyweight pack for women!

I had to send in my old Xena 85 for repairs and they informed me that the model had been discontinued but they offered me the new style. I was happy to get the new model since the back panel seemed to have way better venting. I finally received and was excited to check it out. Only to find out they removed the mesh side pockets. The pockets that are used the MOST on a pack to get easy things out. Why in the world would they do that?! Also the built in day pack is a waste of space. They could have added a way to remove it. Osprey is one of the only companies that makes a large liter female pack. I'm am extremely disappointed in this update.
