This is my fourth pair of Frye Lena style sneakers (I also own two pairs of the low perforated style and one zippered high top version). I have to buy Frye's in 5.5 because they don't make size 5, so they are always roomy on me and in boots I add an inner sole for better fit, but there is no room to do that with the low profile of this style (though thick socks help). If they were not oversized they might be a bit narrow in the toe box for feet that are wide across the toes. These are gorgeous high quality casual sneakers, all leather inside and outside (in summer I wear them without socks with no sweat or smell), that come with matching leather laces, plus an extra pair of white cotton laces that match the white rubber soles. You can dress them up or down and they create a more put together look than regular gym shoes or sneakers. They are comfortable for walking a long way, and even though the sole is extra thick it is soft and flexible while giving a touch more height.

Runs narrow and although the leather is very accommodating for a wider foot, the stiffness of the narrower white base results in any bulges in the leather overhanging the base.

These tennis shoes are so comfortable right out of the box. I wear size 11 and they fit my feet perfectly, really good sole that’s thick and has great cushion. I bought the white ones and they look super cute with jeans, leggings and summer dresses. I would defiantly recommend these Frye leather tennis shoes.

Wow these are comfortable! The leather is amazing and cushioned sole. Very very happy with this purchase. I bought them and left for Italy, brand new I walked all over Florence with no problems at all.

I got these on a whim and love them. Frye is always a perfect fit for me and they outdo themselves every time. The color is not quite lilac, not quite pink, and is neutral enough to wear with almost anything. They will work with shorts, jeans, khakis, etc. They are very true to size, I'm a 6.5, but won't be able to wear real socks with them. The only complaint I could have is that socks will slip down unless they are knee-highs and my calf prevent that. I have very narrow heels so this is a problem with certain types of shoes for me. But they are summery enough that socks are not required, either. They don't appear to rub anywhere.

I love Frye boots and would have more than my 2+ pairs if my wallet could afford it! However, every flat and sneaker I've tried from Frye is much too narrow. While I do have a wider foot (toe area) I've heard even from "normal width" friends that Frye's often feel too narrow in the toe box for them. The quality and style is right on point, but I fear these shoes will only work for people with narrow feet! Such a shame cause I would love to have kept these. My Frye boots are going on 12+ years and are still in amazing condition!

Great looking shoe. This was my first try with a Frye shoe. I have thin, average-width size 5 1/2 feet. For me, this shoe was too narrow. I ordered six pairs of black leather, white sole shoes. All of them felt significantly different. I kept the most comfortable pair. Thank you Zappos for your wonderful service.

This is a VERY cute shoe. I was on the hunt for a great pair of white sneakers, ordered 4 different pairs from Zappos and Nordstrom, and ultimately loved these the most. Very stylish, still feminine, and VERY white--which is right on point for what i was looking for. Great material, seem made well so far, BUT the sizing has been a huge headache, which is why i deducted a star. I am an 8.5 in flats and sneakers, read they are true to size, returned and ordered an 8, STILL too big (i also just have small ankles, so this is probably a personal problem), finally just ordered a 7.5 (whole size smaller for me) and am crossing my fingers they work. Overall, GREAT shoe---just maybe order your size and a 1/2 size smaller so you can try a couple pairs at once instead of having to wait 2 weeks to wear your new shoes :).

I liked this item aesthetically, but had to return it because my heel kept slipping out of the back as I walked. Either the back is too low or too wide for my feet.

I love the leather on these shoe and the style is really cute, however the heel part of the leather dosent cover hy entire heel and when I walk my heel slips out. I initially ordered a 6 and had the same problem. I thought this was because the shoe was too big, so then I ordered an 5.5 and had the same problem. Had to return them.

I have been a long time fan of Frye Boots owning my first pair back in the late 1970's. Since then I have bought Frye penny loafers and several pairs of boots. This year I ventured in to the Frye sneaker line and I am truly disappointed. Upon first trying the Lena Low Lace I initially thought they were comfortable but they have now become a nightmare. There is something inside the heal of the shoe that literally burns my heal of my foot. Sad to say but I am disappointed with the Frye sneaker quality. I will stick to their shoes and boots!
