This weekend bag is plenty roomy, with room for 2 jeans, 2 shirts, and extra pockets for an extra pair of shoes. Also hold my folding make up bag tha I purchased from Vera Bradley. I am also going to take the bag on a cruise and I especially like the large opening that will allow it to slip over the handle of a rolling bag. Very pleased with the purchase.

I got this for my birthday a few months ago in Ribbons, and I love it! I was debating between the Weekender and the Grand Traveler, but in the end I thought the Traveler was just a little too big to be able to conveniently carry around the airport and carry on the airplane. I definitely think I made the right decision, because the Weekender carries all my stuff and is easy to carry with the strap! I also love how it slips over my suitcase handle, which is great when I'm running around the airport. It easily fits some clothes (not enough for a week vacation, but I pack really heavy), my grand cosmetic bag, and other accessories I need on the plane. Since I bought this, I haven't needed to check a bag. I carry this and a rolling carry on and that's it! It was also great for visiting a friend one weekend (guess that's why it's called the weekender!) and easily held everything I needed for that trip. I don't normally write reviews, but I've been so happy with all the Vera Bradley products I've bought in the last few months that I feel the need to tell everybody else how awesome they are!

I purchased this today and I love it so far. I like that you can slide it over your suit case handle and pull it around (Trolley sleeve). It fits under a airplane seat. I have the dogwood color it is so pretty! I looks great with my red suitcase.

I wish I hadn't put off ordering this, I would have loved to have had it a lot sooner. Just the right amount of zippered and open pocket compartments on the inside and out. The outside zipper compartment is great to put my quart size liquids bag in there for easy access going through security; plus if any spills, better chance it won't get on other packed items inside. Love the carry handles and the adjustable shoulder strap. Have all the other matching pieces such as garment bag, luggage tags, passport cover, tote, etc. Love them all.

I just bought this bag a few days ago. I have a smaller carry-on style bag, but was looking for something bigger. I am very happy with it so far. It's plenty roomy, and I love all the interior and exterior pockets, and the two different strap options. This bag will be carrying a lot of stuff back and forth between home and school for breaks, or for weekend trips home. I'm also going to Europe over spring break for a study abroad trip, and plan on using it for my carry-on, since it is so spacious, and all the pockets will help keep my things organized. I think the name Weekender may be a little deceiving considering the size. You could easily fit far more than just a weekends' worth of stuff in this bag.

I am so excited to put this bag on my christmas list this year! I just love the look and it's just the perfect size to fit all my belongings! Looking forward to use it and have the pattern in island bloom im obsessed

This is a classy fabulous bag. I use it when I go on vacation and everyone compliments my bag. I have it in wine. I just love this bag..

I bought this last week and have used it on two trips: a full weekend and an overnight. The best part is it is big enough to fit everything, but small enough to fit underneath the airplane seat. This meant when the overheads got full, I didn't have to worry about checking it! I couldn't be more satisfied with the purchase.

I just recieved my weekender the old one in #Night and Day# and I love it!!! It is going to be great for my three day vacation,there is PLENTY of room for everything and I can use it as a carry on. I chose this one because of all the great reviews! it doesnt look like they offer it on the website anymore. Im sure the new one is good as well but I'll stick to this. I will definatly be ordering again I love there stuff.

I just got this as a spur of the moment buy. I LOVE Vera and have yet to be disappointed. I have this bag in Happy Snails. The strap is perfect!! I am using this for college. Plenty of room for my books and binders. The outside pocket has tons of details like a ID holder and pockets everywhere. The pocket on the other side zips up and has a handy little hidden area for anything! I also found out that I can easily put my MacBook in here. It is made like the laptop backpack. A divider in the middle with a velcro strap to slide the laptop in. I'm excited to take this on a weekend trip as well, or as a carry on. Thanks again Vera, I am yet to be disappointed.

I purchased this bag to use as a carry on for my Honeymoon. Although I have another month to test it out, don't think I'll have any problems. It's very spacious, has numerous pockets and the added trolley sleeve on the back is going to come in very handy when traveling though the airport. The additional padding on the cross-body strap is great as well. I got it in the new Provincial and it is GORGEOUS! Once again, not disappointed by Vera Bradley

Thank you, thank you for the addition of the trolley sleeve. The Grand Traveler was too big for me, the Metropolitan was too small, and the Weekend is just right! We travel a lot and I have been wishing this had a trolley sleeve and have not bought one because of that. Without it, with just the strap, bags slip off or fall off, tipping my standing suitcase. You couldn't have made me happier!

Let me start off by saying how cute this bag is! I purshased it in Portobello Road and I am in love with it already! It has so much space and many(decently sized) pockets inside and out! It is a perfect size for a sleepover, weekend trip, carry-on, or weeklong trips (for light packers!) I cannot stress to you enough how much I love this bag.. It comes with a removable strap so I can carry it on my shoulder or I can carry it with the handles attached! It has so many purposes and is well worth every penny!

I liked my Weekender, but once again, Vera Bradley has turned a very good design into a GREAT product! I liked the previous Weekender design, but I REALLY like this one! The horizontal zipper on the outside is now a 3/4 zipper with which makes the pocket ideal for holding a small laptop or iPad or magazines for traveling. There is also a sewn flap for slipping the bag over your rolling luggage. The interior pockets have been redesigned from four identical pockets to 5 pockets of varying size. VERA: for your next re-design, I'd like at one of them to be zipped! Best of all, the strap now has shoulder padding! Thanks again for believing in continuous improvement, Vera!

Awesome!!!! It's just the right size. Very cool.

Quality is amazing. Perfect size for a couple days getaway. I was disappointed in the color a little. Was expecting more of a pink color, and it's definitely in the purple family. Still pretty though!

I love the color and can't wait to use this. I've had another weekender bag in the past and I'm sure this one will be just as good. One change they made is making the trolley sleeve a alittle smaller. It's a little tight for some of my handles but hoping that won't be an issue.

Being a bigger item I felt it was just too dark for me, so returned it. Liked the purse and wallet in that color but not the weekender,

Based on what I received, before using the bags at all, I can say I am happy with my purchases and pleased with the Orchard Plaid fabric in person. I am giving the Weekender bag only 4 stars instead of 5 because I need to take off a point for one obvious design flaw. That is that the exterior zipper compartments are completely flat. One or both, should have pleated bottoms so that you can use them for a greater variety of things.

I really like the weekender bag, this is the second one I've purchased. It's a perfect size, has a strap to go over handle of suitcase and has lots of pockets. I give 4 stars instead of 5 because it's darker then I expected. I was expecting a lighter, dustier shade of green.

Beautiful bag, a little smaller than expected

Great bag, light in weight and beautiful. Could benefit by adding a compartment for a lap top.
