Haven't purchased a pair of birkis for years. Was so happy to see they carry a vegan line as I remember loving the birkenstock style and comfort from the time before I thought about WHO was killed to make something. These vegan birkis measure up in every way, which goes to show there's no need to harm a sentient being to make a superlative product. Will be ordering more from the vegan line...as will my daughters who were just as pleased as I am with these sandals.

I am normally a US 8; however when I ordered the 39 it was too big. The 38 (7-7.5 US) fit perfectly!! Love this Birk. The color was exactly what I was looking for and it is very comfortable.

I really wanted to like these because, hey - they're Birks, and they're adorable! However, the sole is SOOOO hard! If your foot doesn't hit the footbed in the exact perfect way, it's incredibly uncomfortable...mostly due to the sole being so incredibly hard. The straps are wide enough, but don't allow for much arch because they sorta mash your foot down. I know that as Birks, they will break in, 'give' and sorta cradle the foot better so rather than returning them right away, I decided that I would break them in and keep them. After big blisters on each foot, and foot pain...I regret that decision and now wish I would've returned them prior to wearing them out and about in a failed attempt to force the foot-love. This is on me though...I should've known better :/ I kept a different pair of Birks that had the soft sole. They're really comfy and I think will break in really nicely.

I live in Birkenstocks, year round, and the Mayari is my favorite sandal style. When I first tried them, I was concerned that the toe strap would bother me, but within the first few minutes of wearing the Mayaris, I could hardly notice it. It does feel a bit strange when I wear them for the first time each spring, after a winter spent in wool socks and clogs, but again, within minutes I don't even notice. I own several pairs of Mayari, in both leather and Birko-Flor, and I find that I prefer the Birko-Flor. It's much softer than the leather, and doesn't require a break in period the way the leather strapped sandals do. Also, the colors of the Birko-Flor are fabulous! If you're new to Birkenstocks, it can take a little time to figure out your size and to get the straps adjusted to your liking. Once you have that figured out, though, you're good to go! I love that I can order Birks and know that they're going to fit perfectly right out of the box.

Disastrous order. Shoe itself is great- fit, comfort, super cute, etc. HOWEVER, the first pair I ordered had a defect (giant glob of glue on the front of one). Sent it back and ordered another. Second pair came and it had the red dye all over the cork. Another defect. Sent it back and ordered another pair. Third pair came and yet another shoe defect. Ridiculous. Each of these three pair was an obvious customer return. I’m fine with a non-defective return being sent to me. What I’m not okay with is Zappos sending out obviously returned defects. I told them about it each shipment and for the first time I can say I was really disappointed in Zappos customer service. Didn’t seem to care that much. Ended up buying the same shoe somewhere else with no defect. After being good customer for years not sure I’ll shop Zappos again.

I sized down a whole size and that was perfect. A little stiff. I’m curious if they’ll soften with time. I’m sure they will. Fairly firm footbed with some arch support. So not for all day walking for me, but perfect for errands. Love the vegan option.

I was so sad when my many-years-old leather Birkenstocks finally wore out, because I didn't want to rebuy ones made with any leather, but I couldn't find a vegan equivalent with this level of support. And then, vegan Birks came along!!! Thank you Birkenstock!! <3 I recently bought the vegan Arizona sandals and adore them, but wanted something a little nicer that I could dress up (as much as one can dress up Birkenstocks). These are perfect - great support, thin comfortable straps, and not made with animals. They have the same supportive footbed and cork sole that we all know and love, but minus that layer of leather on the footbed.

Love these shoes - I have 3 colors! I find that Birkenstock runs really large. I'm usually a 7 1/2 or 8 and my size in Birks is 37, which is not what they have listed as the corresponding size. Follow the brand's break-in instructions and let them adjust gradually.

Because the footbed is not suede, these made my feet sweat and it was not summer yet so I opted to return them. I love the color and the style. They were not as comfortable as my other styles of Birkenstock sandals.

I usually wear a size 11, but ordered a size 10 after reading others reviews. I ended up returning for a size 11. They fit beautifully. No break in time either.

I love these Birks! I used to wear Birkenstocks all the time and haven't bought them in years since going vegan quite a few years ago. They are super comfortable and I've been wearing them a ton since I got them. This is my first purchase from the vegan Birkenstock line and I'm sure it won't be my last.

I just bought these in the burgundy, love them ! Love birkenstocks, I have narrow feet and know that these will always fit, I have been wearing them for 30 plus years, I believe these are my 35 pair!

I LOVE these shoes. I've become partial to Birks over the past couple of years, and these red Mayari Vegans are another pair of perfection. They felt great the minute I slipped my feet into them.....and the fact that no living thing was used to produce them makes me feel even better.

I love Birkenstocks. I live in them in the summer. I love the Mayari style and this red color is a great addition to my collection. Great arch support and quality. These require very little breaking in and are comfortable all day.

My fiancé was absolutely against Birkenstock because she did like how they looked. I bought her these which are not the traditional style in hopes she would change her mind. She was wearing really cheap, poor arch support sandals. She loves them! She says they are by far the most comfortable shoe/sandal she has ever owned. The arch support and width are perfect. The color resembles a warm white.

These shoes are amazing and comfy! My only issue is that the glue is VERY visible and seems to be peeling despite being new. Does this mean they are fake? Bad product? Or are lots of people experiencing this. they don't really look like they will last long. I think I will get a refund.

I was never a Birk person, and then I went vegan, and definitely didn't consider becoming a Birk person until I needed supportive summer shoes for around the house. I was excited that Birks now come in vegan options, and I tried these. I am now a dedicated Birk person and want more! Love these shoes. Worth every penny.

My daughters is 10 and she loves this sandals. They fit great. She wears them all day, with long walks and she never complains. Yes, they pricy, but totally worth it. The comfort is excellent!
