I’ve been using these shoes for about 2 months now and my synopsis is as follows: 1. They run a little narrower and about 1/2 size longer than other Salomon’s such as the Speedcross series or other comparable Salomon trail shoes. 2. They are not waterproof but have a seamless upper that keep all debris out. 3. They are not as soft in the sole area as the Speedcross shoes are and the traction lugs are about as soft as Speedcross but they are thicker in their circumference, as the Speedcross lugs are kind of tall and thin. 4. I wouldn’t recommend them as shoes that you’d want to just wear around anywhere as the lugs would wear down pretty quickly from asphalt or concrete and the soles just aren’t very soft for daily wear. 5. I also think that they’re not going to last as long as Salomon Speedcross shoes or other comparable Salomon trail running shoes. They’re very light weight and seem as though they’re intended mostly for racing or specific events as opposed to every day or regular running shoes. They lack the extra “stuff” that shoes such as the Speedcross have. 6. Before you buy these I would consider the Speedcross model if you’d prefer a shoe that’s a little tougher and a little more comfortable. 7. All of these things said, I think these shoes are amazing looking and the fit that they provide is probably ahead of any other trail shoe. They really form to your foot as if they’re custom made and lack any extra bulk or unnecessary weight.

Great shoe for my feet. The rubber feels a bit harder than that used on the speed cross shoes, to me this is a good thing. The new tongue design is nice as well, however I'm not sure I like the salomon insole as much as the ortholite insole used in the speedcross shoe.

Great trail running shoe! There was little to no break in time. The coating on the exterior of the shoe will keep mud out, even though it’s not waterproof.
