I have married this shoe and had its babies. We are happy beyond our wildest dreams. From the second I slipped it on I knew. “You. You are the perfect sneaker-type shoe. I feel peace. Joy. Nothing but comfort.” This shoe changed my life. I hope you shoe-review-reading people are as fortunate. Best shoe ever. I’m using the extra laces in the contrasting color. It shoes how far my relationship with this shoe has gone in the 24 hours since I unwrapped this shoe. NO break-in time. Break-in times are for loser shoes. These shoes are winners. Did I mention these are so comfortable I said “Ahhhh” the moment I put them on? How often does that happen in your shoe life? Never, right? So this shoe is special. This shoe has won awards. That I just made up and awarded it. Okay, I suspect you have the gist of my opinion of these shoes now, subtle and cagey as I’ve tried to be. On the fence and all. Good luck and may you find the happiness that this shoe and I have found.

Loved-Loved-Loved the look of the shoe. Tried my normal size and a size up but still couldn't make them work. My issue with them was there was not enough inside height from top to bottom on these shoes. I'm sure that had to do with the great arch support. Taos needs to adjust spacing and I would be happy to buy them again !

If you are debating between this shoe and the Tao Star, get this one! It’s worth the extra $10 for right-out-of-the-box comfort and a softer foot bed. It’s strange, the two styles appear to have the same insert but this shoe is far less stiff all around. I went up a half size which I would highly recommend (this style seems less tight in the toe area as well, making for a much more comfortable fit.)

LOOOOVE this shoe!!!! Comfy right out of the box (after removing insole see below) and does not hurt my Achilles tendinitis. I think the padded collar helps that. The reason everyone says to size up is the insole. It is 1” thick at the heel and higher than that at the arch. If you want that much then you better size up 1/2 size. Cuz just like with any heeled shoe it forces your foot down toward the toe and then the shoe is too short. Remove the insert and voila!! My normal size 9 foot fits perfectly into a size 9. So these are much better than the supergas that I bought two pair of last summer - where the rubber wasn’t glued on correctly and the canvas separated from the binding. Oh and the Taos is lighter too and has a lining, and isn’t narrow like the Superga. I will buy a flat insole to protect the interior of the shoe. Love the two sets of laces which are long enough to actually fit the shoe. Will definitely purchase more!!!!

I am wearing these in the "Light Gray Softy" color right now! These lifestyle sneakers are extremely comfortable! The arch support is good, and the insole is removable in case I need to swap it out with a different one. Many shoes are slightly too narrow in the toebox for me, so I ended up with a 1/2 size up in Wide, which fit perfectly. The material is soft, inside and out - my skin is really sensitive but there is no rubbing whatsoever. The style is good too because they are very versatile.

I ADORE these sneakers... my holy grail... I cannot believe how comfy they are... just out of the box. The Sage Distressed is a perfect neutral to go with so many things in my wardrobe. Zappos is the absolute BOMB for customer service. Love Zappos and my new Taos Moc Stars!

Love how they look, but - call me crazy - when a shoe rips the very first time you try to lace them up, it doesn't bode well.

This is a very narrow fitting shoe in width, but not narrow enough in heel. The sole though has great support if you need it. Great shoe if it fits.

I’m an art teacher and I stand all day, on concrete no less. After years of coming home with aching feet, trying all kinds of shoes, I have finally discovered Taos. These are cute and stylish with a casual vibe. More importantly, they have SO MUCH SUPPORT. Great shock absorption, arch support, and overall comfort from the first day. Well designed soles perfect for both walking and standing, with plenty of traction. They squeaked for a few minutes but that went away really fast. It’s amazing to finally have my feet not hurt at the end of a long day. Life changing. I honestly can not recommend these enough. I’m ready for a closet full of Taos!

After reading the many reviews, I ordered these one half size up. They are a perfect fit! LOVE the Distressed Graphite color.

These are some of my favorite shoes ever and I’ve lived 64 years. I like the distressed look and the dark shoe strings. They are extremely comfortable and supportive.

I have planter fasciitis and I put these shoes on and my foot does not hurt at all. Love the arch support, excellent shoe

Very cute and SUPER comfortable. I wear anywhere between a 7.5-8.5 and have a true wife to extra wide foot. I ordered an 8 wide and could possibly have sized down to 7.5 wide. They are a bit loose around the ankles which is very rare for me so I’m actually enjoying it. The cushioning and arch support is excellent!

I was looking for sneakers that didn't look like athletic shoes. I thought these were cute, they came in a bunch of colors and they had very good reviews. Unfortunately, I didn't care for these. I ordered a half size up from my normal size and that was fine. The arch support is excellent. The insole is quite thick, so if you think the shoe doesn't fit and you don't need or want that much arch support, remove the insole and try something thinner from another sneaker you already own. I tried this, but the problem for me was the overall stiffness of the shoe and the toe. It felt like these were elf shoes. The toe points up and looks strange. I also didn't like how they looked on my foot. They are very square. These have many good qualities, they just weren't for me.

These shoes are very cute and comfortable. I have very picky feet and the comfort of this brand is unsurpassed. While I loved the look of these shoes and the feel for the most part, the back of the shoe cut at an odd place on the back of my foot due to the excellent foot cushion inside. It hit below my no-show socks and just felt weird. Also, my heels slid up and down a lot when I walked. I just couldn’t get used to the way these felt so sadly, these are going back. But I think anyone who isn’t neurotic about their feet would love these!

With an upcoming trip to Washington DC looming, I needed a pair of shoes with some serious arch support. Trusting the reviews, I took a chance on these. When I first got these shoes, they felt a little stiff. But after wearing them around the house for a few days, they felt fine. I ordered a half size larger (9, instead of my usual 8.5) and I'm glad I did. These were truly put to the test in DC. My pedometer showed 208,037 steps for the whole week, every one of them made in these shoes. Of course my feet hurt just from the sheer volume of walking we did but I had not even 1 blister or sore spot and after a night's rest, my feet were ready for another day. These shoes took a pounding! I am convinced that the arch supports are what kept me going all week. I'm looking forward to a full summer with these cute shoes.

Cute shoes, love all the colors, but the toe box is a bit short in depth, the arch support is almost nonexsistant, and the sole is designed more like a fashion shoe than a good walking shoe. I ordered the same pair in the wide size, which fit great, but the little tab that holds the laces in the center of the tongue ripped when I went to lace up the shoe. For the price, I'd hope the fabric would be stronger. So, although I might have kept them in the wide size because they are cute, the tear in the fabric is a warning that these shoes were probably not the best designed and not worth it.

I gave 4 Stars on each fit above because I needed to order a whole size larger and the wide width! Doing this the sneakers fit otherwise they wouldn’t! Nice sneakers - I ordered this because they looked much like the Keen - Elsa lace up sneakers I have! Unfortunately the Keens do not come in wide widths and the breaking time was at least several wearings! So I saw the Taos and decided to order a size up and wide width after reading the reviews!

It's tricky shopping for cute flat sneakers or sandals if one must consider good arch support. You usually have to give up one for the other. So I've been looking for an off white canvas sneaker to wear with summer dresses and found the well regarded Taos Moc Star on Zappos. I ordered a half size up but the toe box was too tight and uncomfortable. This was remedied by removing the shoe's thick, clunky liner and replacing it with my favorite inserts. That's it! I'm super happy with my little lightweight canvas sneakers....perfect for summer.

I am so happy to have found shoes that have the style I like and that offer such great arch support. Amazing! I have plantar fasciitis and can't wear anything without great support. The first time I wore them they rubbed a little at the back of my heel and on the top of the fifth and fourth/outer toes on one of my feet (I wore them with socks), and they start out fairly stiff, but they are already softening up and breaking in nicely. Sage was my first choice but wasn't available in my size. I ended up with the distressed graphite color, which I love. And getting two pair of shoelaces is a really nice touch. I originally bought them to wear them as walking shoes on an upcoming trip, but realize they probably don't have enough cushioning for all-day excursions on old cobblestone streets, at historical sites, and on walking trails. The heel seems like it would be okay, but the cushioning seems insufficient for the balls of my feet. Even though I'm probably not taking them on my trip, I'm happy to be keeping them, as they'll be great shoes for everyday casual wear.

I recently broke my toe, and needed a comfy, cute shoe to wear for a trip to Italy. These shoes are perfect!!! So comfy right out of the box. I did order a half size up per a lot of reviews and they fit perfect! I highly recommend!!!

Excellent shoe. They gave up the ghost after two years of steady use - walking several miles a day on vacation a few times a year and just “everyday” wear! Perfect cute casual shoe. I usually get blisters and all sorts of pain from my old favorite keds style, so finally invested in these and haven’t looked back. Buy these!

I always have to size up a half size when I order Taos tennis shoes. Taos sandals fit fine. The Moc Star is my favorite tennis shoe. The toe box is a little wider than the Star, I think. I can wear these all day right out of the box!

I am absolutely delighted with this shoe. With wide feet, most of my choices are much more clunky looking. Been looking for something just like this for probably 2 years. Ordered both a 7 and 7-1/2 and the 7W is perfect...my usual size. The removable insole arch support is so good I do not need my orthotics, but if I choose to wear them, I just remove the insole. Going to be ordering these in additional colors because they are PERFECT for summer...absolutely perfect.

Comfortable right out of the box. Love the soft twill material and flexible outsole!
