These are now completely comfortable, although, like other reviewers - I found them rough on the ankles when I first put them on. However I had faith in the Naot brand. They completely softened up and molded to my feet within a few days of starting to wear them. I have dainty desk worker ankles, and so the ankle did feel harsh for the first two days, but I never got a callous, scratch or blister, and now they feel perfect. Also, they are lighter feeling than they look. And they are thicker leather than many of the fashion sandals out there. I like the more structural and historic look of these. I'm not a fan of dainty strappy sandals with feminine detailing. These have the perfect modernized - Roman aesthetic for me. Also, I won't worry about getting my back heel stepped on in crowds when I wear them on my upcoming vaca. I am 8.5, regular width feet - and size 40 fits perfectly. The way that the leather weaves through itself allows them to perfectly hug your feet as loose or tight as you like, when you adjust with the velcro. I will never buy a cheap sandal again - and nothing beats the cork footbed of a Naot.

I have this style in Blue, and also have another Naot gladiator type style in Dark brown and returned it in favor of a lighter brown in the Rianna style. I love, love Naots! So comfortable and perfect support for my left problem foot with arthritis, pronation and extra bone. I can wear Naots all day, they even feel better than my NuBalance walking shoes with custom orthotics!

I ordered a 42, which is the size I always wear the Elegant Flats line, in the Khaki color. The footbed was ok, but the design of the straps was a deal-breaker. The huge velcro taps looked like wings on my ankles, and from behind, the sandals looked horribly awkward and clunky. Further, if they had been comfortable, I'd have ignored the winged feet effect, but the straps gaped and the ankle closure was right over my ankle bones. I don't see how anyone could find these comfortable for walking. I returned.

Comfort shoes disguised as cute gladiator sandals--look just like the pictures. They do not bother my ankles in the same way noted by some other reviewers; I suppose differing anatomy accounts for this. As usual for Naot, the footbed is extremely comfortable. I like walking in them more than athletic shoes.

These sandals are so attractive. I have skinny feet and they fit fine. I like the Velcro that makes them adjustable.

This shoe is secure, offers great support and style. Does run 1/2 size small. If your on the fence, try a 1/2 size up!

Gorgeous shoe and I wanted to love it but I had issues with the fit around the ankle bone on both feet. The Velcro hit in just the wrong spot and irritated the ankle; they had to go back. Naot is an amazing brand but the comfort of this shoe was not there. ?

Great style, but the ankle area with the Velcro tabs rubbed on my ankle bones as I walked. In the house was fine, but I knew that walking outside for any length of time would have made walking in them uncomfortable. Also , I need a lot of arch support because I wear an orthotic, but this only has a tiny bit of arch. I wanted to like them, but for $160, I need the shoes to have NO issues and be absolutely perfect.

The good thing about these is the velcro on both sides. But they were too big for me so can't really comment on much more.

Very comfy and stylish. Slightly on the narrow side but still ok. I did not have the rubbing problem on my ankles like others, try it for your self it may be ok for you.

I found these in a shop but they didn’t have my size. They let me take a pic of the box and outside I ordered on Zappos. Perfecto!

A sandal that's both comfortable and stylish. The adjustable ankle strap makes the shoe very secure on your foot. I usually wear a size 7 in sandals, and the 38 is a perfect fit.

Love Naot shoes! I've worn Dansko all my life and am a size 40 and 9 1/2 in other brands. In Naot the 40 is too short and when I went up to a 41 the fit was perfect. Great quality and style! Especially love the Marita sandal!

Have been looking for a gladiator style that fits for a long time now, and thought these might work...but sadly, my search continues. Felt true to size for my narrow, flat foot in both length and width, but the crisscross strap could not be adjusted to the correct length without rubbing my ankle bones in a way that made me believe it would be troublesome for all-day wear. Regretfully returned.

Very cute shoes! I wanted them to work for me, but the vertical edge of the attachment on the inside of my ankle poked right into my ankle bone. Too expensive to risk it becoming a problem.

These shoes are beautiful. Very comfortable. I have foot problems and all the Naot brand are very comfortable.

LOVE THIS SHOE! It fits perfectly for me. Do wish it was a tiny bit longer in the toe bed but the next size up was way too big! They are comfortable for walking and look so cute. Bought them in brown also, but the brown was smaller in the toe bed and looked too small. The next size up was way too large and I couldn’t wear. I reordered another brown in hopes they will fit as perfectly as the black pair. I wish these came is white.

I love these shoes!! They are so comfortable and super cute. Not a huge arch support but feels good on my feet. Zappos is also amazing! I bought and returned so many styles until I found one that I loved.

I’ve had my eye on these for a while, so cute and they did not disappoint! As always Naot feels great on my feet, especially my troublesome left foot which pronates with an extra bone and a bit of arthritis! The 40 is the best size for my arch. Naot runs small and a bit narrow so even though my US size is always 8 1/2, I always buy 40 (which is 9-9 1/2). I love the Velcro on all the Naot shoes and sandals. It is easy to adjust for my feet and ankles.

I felt the velcro on both sides made them bulky around the ankle.

A very cute and comfortable shoe - EXCEPT for discomfort where the strap rubbed against my ankle bone. Too bad - had to return them.

I used to love Naot because the cork in the sole was so comfy and the arch was high enough to support my feet. The sole on these is surprisingly thin. I've worn Naots to Disney and my feet weren't bruised at the end of the day. But I don't think these would protect or support my feet for that long. They just feel skimpy compared to my older ones. I'm disappointed.

This is a very pretty shoe. I love everything about it except the location of the inner Velcro strap. It rubs uncomfortably on my ankle bone!
