This is my 6th pairs of Helen Mephistos. I wear nothing else. I have a very very narrow foot but can adjust straps to fit. I wear them every day, winter and summer. Years ago I had plantar facitus and these saved my feet.Nothing like them. Also I have sent several pairs to have soles replaced, great.

I tried these & Birkenstock brand. I liked these a lot more. Very comfortable.

I love Mephisto Helen! I have several pairs pairs in many colors. But this Helen Perf was too little (tight) for my big toes. Otherwise they fit perfect for my size 12 (EU 42) foot.

I am glad that I read through the other reviews for this Helen style of sandal, because I then knew to order a one full size up. I wear a 10.5 medium in Brooks womens running shoes, and typically either a 41 or a 42 in shoes with European sizing. In fact, I recently ordered a pair of Mephisto Lise sandal slides in a 42 (in the color of Blue Star, which is a true navy but with subtle sparkles- very pretty!), and they were a perfect fit. However, because of the other Zappos reviews, I ordered this Helen sandal in a 43, and they are also a perfect fit..? Hmm. Very comfortable footbed (more so, I think, than Birkenstocks!), well made, not heavy, the perforated soft leather strap adds some nice breathability against the skin, and the Light Taupe color is a wonderful new neutral to wear for summer. The toe ring isn’t tight as much as it feels fitted. I have had other toe ring sandals before, and leather will eventually stretch- but if it’s too loose to begin with and then stretches out, then the sandals become almost impossible to wear safely. If you spend your summers on the go, on your feet running errands, and carting kids to and from as much as I do, then these are worth it.

This shoe fits like the Helen. It is so pretty, but the laser cutouts that make it so pretty are rough on the underside of the leather, and cause rubbing. I thought about putting a piece of moleskin under it, but that would defeat the purpose of the cutout. Boohoo, back they go. I wear size 8M shoe almost always, and tried the 38 and 39. I decided the 39 is the better fit, although both are very good. I'll stick with the plain Helen, much more comfy than my Birkenstocks. I guess it's a matter of a shoe matching a foot.

Too small & narrow. After some reading, ordered next size up. They seem just fine. Zappos is awesome!

I couldn't wear these due do my crooked toes. I really loved how they fit, but as soon as I tried them the strap cut into my second toes. I'm sure they are wonderful shoes. Young girls - wear good shoes or you'll have crooked toes when you get over 60!

If this is a US 11 it runs small because I wear a US size 10. Love this shoe, super comfy a fairly cute for a senior or someone with foot issues. I think I will get a lot of use out of them!

I have been a fan of this sandal for years. It works great for a narrow foot. I like the footbed it works well for my foot issues.

Again, I love Mephisto!!! Really stylish Helen style sandal. The nubuck suede is much quicker to ‘break in’ than traditional leather. Also love the fact you can get your Mephistos refurbished by them for half the price of new and your leather straps are already broken in!! This is a cute, comfortable and supportive sandal!!! I’d buy again and again and again... ??

I love Mephisto...especially Helen style! I have worn Mephistos for almost 20 years. I have had several refurbished by Mephisto. These are good quality just like every pair I’ve had. It usually takes a littie time to ‘break in’ the leather, but these nubuck suede pair were quickly done. I definitely recommend these cute, stylish sandals!!!

These fit perfect, I have another pair different color, they are my go to shoes.

I have had this same shoe in a different color for over a year now, and I love it. It took a few days to get used to the loop for the big toe; but once I did, they are the most comfortable shoes I own for walking or standing. I would recommend them to anyone who has an over pronation or arch problem.

I wear a 41 in the Mephisto Helen and this tan nubuck pair fit perfectly. Mephisto and Alegria are the only brands that keep my plantar fasciitis at bay and, happily, Mephistos don't make my feet look as big as Alegrias do. Terrific arch support and I'm able to adjust the strap to accommodate my slightly larger left foot. I was so surprised these were on sale that, of course, I had to grab a pair. The tan is a perfect color for "disappearing" so that my shoes don't compete with what I'm wearing. I think I'll probably use this color more than any of my others. Totally recommend.

So cute, but too narrow.

I have been wearing the Helen for years. Perfect arch support for my arches. I love the Mephisto Helen!

This is my 2nd pair of Mephisto's. I think I had the first pair for 12 years! -- so they are worth the money. They are super comfortable and look great with everything - jeans, shorts, skirts, pants - and all styles. The taupe is a really pretty shade and very neutral. I originally wanted the Helen Twist, but tried these too and surprisingly ended up liking these better. The straps look really nice on my feet. I have taken my Mephisto's on a bunch of vacations and don't need many other shoes with me and sometimes only these. It is hot here and I wear these spring through fall, when it is still hot, but the cork and tan sole are not as summery as white. I love these because they are fabulous all the time! ??

The HELEN Mephisto shoes in Nubeck are comfortable, have moderate support, were recommended by my Foot Doctor, and are worth every penny. I have 5 HELENS from them.

However, because of the other Zappos reviews, I instead ordered this lower heeled Helen sandal in a 43, and they are also a perfect fit..? Hmm. These sandals have a very comfortable footbed (more so, I think, than Birkenstocks!), are well-made, not heavy, the perforated leather strap adds some nice detail as well as breathability against the skin, and the Light Taupe color is a wonderful new neutral to wear for summer (it's a slightly pinkish light clay color). The toe ring isn’t tight as much as it feels fitted. I have had other toe ring sandals before, and I also know that leather will eventually stretch just a little bit- but if it’s too loose to begin with and then stretches out, then the sandals become almost impossible to wear safely. I bought these during the winter prior to a trip to Florida. I have to admit, I was not impressed with the comfort level on that trip. I did a lot of walking and my feet were sore each day. I recently started wearing them again since it got warmer up north and now they are so comfortable! The foot bed molds to your feet and they provide so much support. An added bonus is that I have gotten so many compliments on these shoes. The blue color is really nice and the cut outs are a pretty detail. As for size, I typically wear a 7.5 and the 38 fit perfectly.

I've worn Mephisto sandals for years, due to the need for arch support. They never disappoint. High quality, comfortable & supportive. I love them.

After reading the reviews I decided to order a size larger than I usually wear because my foot is wide. The foot bed was very comfortable and fit well width wise but the shoe was too long for my foot. The color of the shoe was more brown than light tan. For these reasons I decided it wasn’t the shoe for me. Thanks, though, Zappos!
