I love these shoes! I have incredibly troubled feet - Raynauds in my toes, a massive bunion, high arches, plus, a lot of years of walking (I'm 48), so just regular aches and pains. It's hard to find a shoe that doesn't have stitching right across the bunion, but these do not, so they're already ahead of the game. I walked dogs for 4 1/2 hours 2 days in a row with these on, and my feet felt great (aside from normal tiredness one would feel after months of inactivity). I have orthotics for my many issues, but I *almost* (not quite) feel they're unnecessary with these. My only wish (as is usually the case with women's shoes) is more options for color. I wouldn't have chosen the aqua blue, but it was the only option, so I took it. Give women darker options!

I like the shoe, felt good on my painful hard to fit feet, but the inner side of the shoe was too high and rubbed my ankle bone. Sorry I had to send them back, if it wasn't for that I would have kept them.

I bought this because I hate a clunky hiking shoe. Thus far I have only worn it to the gym, which makes all my former gym shoes obsolete. Now the remaining question is, do I buy another pair for the original purpose of the outdoor shoe?

No break in needed. Comfortable to wear right out of box. Looks much better than most of the other professional hiking shoes. I'd strongly recommend half size up if you are wearing wool socks for hiking. Otherwise for daily use then just true to your own size is perfect. Width is slightly narrower than other shoes that I normally wear (e.g. Fila) but I think it does a good job holding my feet than letting it slip.

A great shoe for walking and working at outdoor events when you never know what the weather will be.

Let me preface by saying I hate shoes. It's a struggle for me to find comfortable shoes let alone want to actually wear them. I have been through many hiking shoes, boots, sandals, these are by far the best footwear I have ever hiked in! The tread is the perfect amount of grippy, Grippy enough to not slip on wet rocks but not so grippy you get stuck to things and trip (ie doesn't get stuck to regular city surfaces such as hardwood floors or gym floors). Water proof, I can walk in streams and not have soaked feet. Perfect amount of cush to hike all day and my feet aren't tired, roomy toe box so my toes aren't crushed, tey are breathable yet not cold nor hot, and they aren't ugly! I've put 160 hiking miles on them so far and I'm already dreading what happens when I have to get another pair and these aren't made anymore. They've held up really well, I'm just breaking them in! It seems like I should be able to get another season out of them. Quite surprised the TNF even made shoes, let alone these fantastic trail runners! Buy them! You won't regret it.

I absolutely love these boots! I had the same pair before and wore them on the Camino Frances, the Tour du Mont Blanc, and the Camino Portugues- a total of over 1200 km! They are only slightly worn out- but they prevented me from getting blisters and foot fatigue. The cushioning and stability were so much better than boots I have had by other brand names. I love them so much, I own my second pair now! Who knows where I will be able to go in these?

Sneakers is my go-to foot wear, regardless of the season, so was looking for a durable one that also looks great. Found the perfect one here.

I highly recommend these shoes. I was looking for a solid and especially waterproof shoe for hiking the glacier trails in Norway. These shoes were wonderful and really water proof. We got rained on in Stravanger all day, and my feet stayed dry. We hiked under waterfalls, stepped in puddles, got rained on in Geiranger, and again, my feet stayed dry. These are sturdy shoes. I was able to grip rocks that were wet without slipping. The shoe is light weight and fit really well with thin socks. I tried my new thicker North Face socks, and I did not like the cramped feel, at all. However, since my feet stayed dry, and never got cold, I would say a thin hiking sock is all you need. They were really comfortable on our 2-3 mile hikes. They were wonderful walking around outside in the rain. I am looking forward to more outdoor adventures, and when it rains, I'll be comfortable with these shoes.

I am a long-distance walker on gentle mountain paths. I really like the North Face ultra fastpack gortex III shoes. This is my 5th pair of shoes and the first "woven" shoe that I have purchased. It is very comfortable and has good grip with the Vibram soles. I have walked a 10 mile trail with orthotic inserts and my feet were very comfortable. I do not know yet how they will hold up on longer walks with muddy paths but they look nice, are waterproof and very light weight and are very comfortable so far.

After a lengthy search I have found the perfect shoe! I have low arches and sensitive feet. These fit true to size and have a wonderful toe box that is wide enough to accommodate my bunion. The arch support is just right, not too high or low. I like the quick and easy yet strong lacing system. The shoes offer great support for trail hikes.

These shoes are fantastic! They are both stylish and perfect if you do a lot of walking. I work on my feet all day so comfort is important and these didnt need any breaking in. If you like to hike the tread on these are very sturdy and should hold up very well. True to size and am very excited to take them to the Rockies this summer! A little squeaky first couple days but that went away once I walked on some sidewalk just to get that new tread roughed up a bit.

Shoes were very nice but didn't get to keep. Size tan too big and instead of sizing down decided to return and repurchase another style.

Normally I hike in running shoes but I thought it was time I finally invest in high quality hiking shoes. I wanted shoes that would provide support without being ugly. Let's face it- many hiking shoes or boots are ugly. I'm planning a hiking trip in UT and AZ in about a month and bought these early to ensure I could break them in before then. However, right out of the box these were perfect. I wore these to Joshua Tree National Park and hiked in them all day without any pain or blisters. They're also super stylish. Would highly recommend these shoes to anyone that's interested. My boyfriend now wants a pair too!

I usually wear an 8 or an 8 1/2. I ordered an 8 1/2 based on previous reviews, and I was happy I did. I will be wearing them on a vacation to Alaska, so I have been wearing them to break them in, but they have been comfortable from the start and didn't really need to be broken in. Happy with my purchase!

I have worn the Fastpack through multiple generations of the shoe. It is exceptionally waterproof and breathable. The shoe offers good support and looks good too. I do find I need to replace after 9 months as I wear this shoe daily.

I bought these shoes for everyday wear for work. I work in healthcare and have found trail running shoes tend to be more comfortable for me, not to mention it's always a plus to have waterproof shoes! I normally wear 8-8.5, I went ahead and got the 8.5 but it was a tad to big. But still let the shoes anyways because I was so impressed just having them on for one day. If your hesitant to buy these, I can definitely tell you they were worth the buy!
