I happen to really love these shoes, in part because I really need the wide to box to deal with morton's neuroma discomfort. I also like the barefoot feel. The shoes don't have a lot of arch support, there is a thin insole that you can use to add a touch -- I need a little more arch support so I use my own thin insole with a little more arch. I also really appreciate the fact that in these shoes my feet really work -- all the nerves and muscles of my foot do what they are meant to do. I wear them for intense gym workouts, walks, long cardio training, sprint training . . . They look a little funky, but not terribly so, it's not quite as nuts and granola as birkenstocks, for example . . . I also have no problems with construction, fit or finish, all seem fine.

I wore vivobarefoot shoes for crossfit years ago and recently went back.. I needed a new pair of shoes. They aren't the prettiest things, the color is quite obnoxious but they were on sale and I care more about saving a penny than looking the cutest. Definitely the shoes I missed. For someone like me who is in between a standard and wide shoe these accommodate me without being too wide. Hopefully they will hold up to the workouts like the old pair did.

These would be great water shoes... but they feel like watershoes. Ultimately I would give them a solid 4 stars if you intend to use them for any water activity. I was hoping that they would be a comfortable Barefoot shoe that could also dry fast and let my feet breath. I was looking for a good camp shoe while hiking.
The reason they got 4 stars even for water activity... is the top of my foot was binding right above/before the toebox and they were very hard to slip on and off. I didn't want to wear them around the house let alone bring them outside and test them due to them having a rubber feel on my toes above my toenails.
All in all... I think these are super stylish shoes and I want to like them.. I just didn't when I tried them on.
