Overwhelmingly large for low-volume feet. The sole width and and length were perfect, but the body of the shoe appears to be sized for a meaty foot with a high instep. When I tightened the laces, the leather on top was all bunched up. When bent my feet, the bunching was really bad across the ball of the foot. The shoes didn't feel securely attached to my feet and were a awkward to walk in. I wish Vivobarefoot accommodated low-volume feet, but nope.

The best shoes ever for running and walking. The leather is not totally waterproof but keeps my feet dry for quite some time. These shoes seem to be wider than some other models from the same brand.

Been struggling with plantar fasciitis. Working on getting back to nature and these shoes are fantastic! I can walk and return home with no swelling and less and less heel pain. I used to be able to wear my birks, but now the arch irritates my bad foot. Too bad, but thankfully I’ve discovered Vivo and am working on strengthening my arches. Very happy!

Awesome shoes for running or walking! Also, looking great. They are true to size. I normally wear 10 Wide street shoes and 11 running shoes. I ordered Vivo 10.5 but they were too big. Size 10 fits perfectly, both length and width. I am already checking out other Vivo styles. My two daughters are also Vivo fans.

Firmer sole than my other barefoot shoes but I like them. Felt comfortable right out of the box, glad I got the 6.5 rather than my usual 7, still plenty of room to spread toes. This shoe is for strengthening the feet (more ground contact for natural movement), if you like/need arch support this is not for you.

These are really nice barefoot style shoes and I was really disappointed that I had to return them. I love the pull on style with the toggle closure, and the soles were great for hiking. But the elastic around the ankle was too tight and very uncomfortable.

These shoes are great. They have plenty of room for my toes, fit snugly at the ankle, are watertight, and are super flexible. I highly recommend them for people that prefer a "barefoot" style of shoe.

These shoes are to replace my original Vivobarefoot shoes that I used for travel, running (trail and road), and Crossfit. My original shoe is no longer available and this pair feels and looks a bit more clunky than what I'm used to. The fit felt a bit large at first, but once I started moving the fit felt right. Looking forward to putting some miles on these!

I've worn natural-shaped shoes for years now, ever since Merrell came out with their first pace gloves. (Great shoes. Can't wear them now - they've gotten narrow and stiff, alas). There are now a number of decent options, but the big hole in natural/barefoot offerings is warmth. I have Raynaud's in my feet, which means my toes will turn super-cold at the drop of a hat. I have to insulate like crazy in winter, but I hate boots because they interfere with ankle movement. I've been wanting an insulated low-top shoe for literally years. These fit the bill. They are light, warm, wide - just what I needed, especially with Uniqlo heat-tech socks and legwarmers over the ankles. They're not as flexible as one might like, but I suppose that's the insulation. I'm glad I got them and will wear them a lot this winter.

I sized down based on customer reviews - good decision! They are wide, which is good for me with bunions, but could be a problem for those with narrow feet. They are comfortable inside - looking forward to trying them outside.

I sized down based on reviews and am glad I did. Got 6.5 instead of my usual 7. The width was perfect for me, but I can see how it might be a problem for someone with narrow feet. I took a chance on these because they were on sale and am glad I did. Can't wait to try them outside.

I'm sorry to give a less than stellar review because of fit. I have a slender foot and just didn't know the brand. Great looking, well made shoes but I found the width beyond fixable with another size. Wish I could wear them!!!

I loved these shoes. Exactly what I expect from Vivobarefoot. The issue with these, and it's the first pair I've ever returned, is when I bend my foot, the left shoe pinched the top of my foot. I was so bummed cuz the right was perfect. So I'm putting the blame on my foot and not the shoes. I've also ordered a new style of Vivos for which I have high hopes.

Wanted to love these shoes, but I wish shoe manufacturers would get their sizes straight with regard to US and EU sizing! I am 99% a size 10, but I always get referred to a size 40, when a 41 or 42 is a better comparison. So sadly these size “10”s are going back. Interestingly, I ordered a 41, and that’s what is stated on the box, but the tag inside the shoe says 40.

What I loved about these shoes is they have a big wide toe box and because I have nerve issues in one of my feet, I love having the room and no constriction. What I didn't love was the elastic sock that made them very difficult to get on. I also didn't realize they had tie-laces, I thought from the pix they were elastic bands and the shoes were pull on. I'm not a big fan of laces. I guess I didn't do a deep enough dive, the way they photograph laces these days are to not show a tie so I've been deceived before. There were things I liked about these shoes though, so I'm going to check through what else they have in this brand and maybe try something else. These are going back, but I'll keep looking in this brand.

I really wanted these beautiful shoes to work for me, however they did not. They were a size too large and felt stiff when I walked. I may end up trying a size smaller...thank you to Zappos for making returns so easy. Hopefully I'll find the perfect trail shoe.

Just as shown in another reviewer's photos, my shoes bunched up uncomfortably in the mid- and forefoot when I tied them up. There is simply too much leather in the upper. My foot cannot fill the shoe, even with the help of thick socks. I guess I could have foreseen this problem if I had studied (and believed!) the photos of the profile of the shoe: the toebox (or shall I say, the forefoot-box?) is unusually high read: voluminous) at the ball-of-foot.

Has elastic cuff around ankle instead of a tongue. Cuff was tight and pressed in wrong places. I would not have ordered the shoes if I had realized about the cuff. Also shoes have shallow toe box that presses on my big toe, at the time feeling rather sloppy on the feet—like you need to lace them tighter. Size 38 seemed a little short as the equivalent of 7.5 but I didn’t even try size 39 because except for toe pressing, 38 seemed large over all.

Shoe has elastic cuff instead of tongue--I didn't care for it and found it uncomfortable. Also toe box was shallow, even though shoe overall seemed loose.
