I already reviewed this as an awesome sandal. It is. But I do need to add that after a few wearing and lots of walking, I DID develop a BLISTER on the back of my left heal. I noticed that although the straps are adjustable, they are very stiff and need breaking in. Just shopping and doing errands, I didn’t notice. After a long walk today, I wanted to update this. They are super comfortable BUT break in the backs first....

I loved these when I first wore them. They were comfy, supportive and I loved the way the footbed felt. I got a little too confident and went for a 2 mike walk in them. Big mistake. I developed a huge blister on the back of my left heal and the start of another one on the back of my right heal. The problem is that the straps, though adjustable, are very stiff in the back. VERY stiff. Sooooo, I really can’t return them so I will sit and “work”the straps with my fingers when I watch TV or something to make them more supple. I think they will be fine eventually. But, be ware. Wear them around for a while.

The shoes were narrow enough to fit me well but they were about one inch too long ! No they were not true to size, though I had plenty of Clarks before that were.

Sigh. I so wanted these to work. The style is darling and they run a bit narrow (yay!), but once again, they don't have enough cushion and arch support. Actually, they don't have any arch support. Like, none. The cushion is flat with a sewn-on pattern to make it look like there's arch support, but it's an illusion. I don't get it. Admittedly I'm not a shoe designer/manufacturer, but some of the most common complaints I see in reviews are No Cushion/No Arch Support. Call me silly, but I would think adding cush and arch support to shoes might put your brand above the rest. And I'm pretty sure feet have arches in them, and arches need support or the feet get tired. I know a brand can't customize arch supports, but Cobb Hill does an amazing job with their arch supports. I have what, 9 pairs of the Cobb Hill Hannah? Five colors plus replacements for the ones I've worn out. And they come in narrow, which is really nice, as there's no fudging with sandals by wearing thick socks to suck up the extra width (well, you could, but ewww). But while I dearly love the Hannah, I wanted a casual cage/gladiator style for walking this year, which means cushion, arch support, and flexible soles, as rigid soles are bad for your feet and legs. But there doesn't seem to be such a thing, at least not one that fits my feet. These would work if they had arch support. I'd even put up with the stiff leather, because they are so close to what I want. But without that all-important arch support, forget it. But they are cute, darn it. On the plus side, Zappos is amazing and understanding and sends my orders out ASAP, and I've never had anything but great service from them! But I feel like I'm taking advantage of them, so I guess I'll stop my epic quest for comfortable cage sandals this year. Thank you, Zappos-- I'll be back!

I usually buy Bjorn, Sofft or Clarks as I need arch support. I wore these once and within 2 hours my foot hurt so bad, all due to no arch support. I looked it over and it appears to have arch, but when you push down it does not. I think I will steer away from Clark's this is the 2nd pair I have tried and the quality is not like it was a few years back.

I was so happy to see these cute sandals made by Clarks because they are my favorite brand for comfort. The first day I wore them around the house and they were so comfortable that I decided to wear them to Costco to continue breaking them in. They did start to rub my big toe to the point I was limping a little bit by the end of my trip. However, when I put them back on for the event I purchased them for (my son's graduation) they were very comfortable. I think I am going to like them a lot but I will be careful about breaking them in slowly.

These sandals are my first foray into the gladiator style. They are really cute sandals! I had to soften them up a bit by wearing them around the house for a few hours, but now they are broken in. I will probably wear these sandals for a bit more dressed up feel over the summer, as they’re a little hot and heavy compared to the usual everyday sandals I wear during the summer. But this was exactly that little bit of chic I was looking for, and I’m happy with my purchase.

Comfortable shoes! These fit great - I kept them even though I probably could have gotten a half size smaller. They feel fine to walk long distance in too.

The shoe is so pretty and comfortable. I usually take a Medium; however the straps seemed too loose over my foot. I am a slender person, so perhaps I do not have enough flesh over my bones!

These sandals felt like slippers the first time I put them on! The leather is very soft. I bought them for weddings this summer, but now I plan to take them on two trips because they are so comfortable! Love them!

Very happy with these. A few points below! Wore the silver ones to a summer wedding in a park and they were perfect for what i needed. The pictures make the front sole of the shoe look a little big but i did not have any issues with it looking funny or sticking our far beyond the edges of the shoes. A few other shoes i tried i had issues with the zipper area rubbing but that is not an issue with these at all. Even though they do not have tru arch support the footbed is cushion which makes them very comfortable to stand and walk in for long periods.

I have a narrow foot and this shoe works well for me. Requires some effort to get your food through all of the little straps. I found the shoe very comfortable and attractive.

Size: 12 Width: (B) Medium Color: Tan Leather Well the mother/daughter pair stumbled onto another pair of gladiator sandals from Zappos. I must say, this year's collection of gladiator sandals where quite possibly the best I have seen since becoming a member few years ago. Ever since my mom came to America in the 1980's, she's heard nonstop good things about Clarks from people in her family. A long time ago, she did own a pair once but lost them in a move to another state. She was surprised that Clarks actually made gladiator sandals because she could remember seeing shoes and sandals, but not the awesome style she has came to love and favor over the regular sandals/flip-flops. Well first impressions the Kele Lotus' were good. The zipper on the heel saves my mom a lot of aggravation of struggling to put on the sandals and the Velcro strap is an added bonus. The foot-bed is soft and neatly padded in all the right areas. Not to mention, she's a sucker for strappy sandals so these are perfect without being too thin and not loose. I will certainly be buying this for my grandmother before they are sold out and gone for the season! If my mother loves these than I can almost bet her mother will too. **This item was purchased on September 07.

Great sandal. Well made and comfortable. True to size and can wear them all day and my legs and feet feel good. No break in time at all!! Comfortable right out of the box!!

I have a flat feet and this sandal is great! Pretty good arch support, good looking, and being a gladiator sandal your feet are not moving around in them. I would highly recommend!

I bought these for my 14yo daughter, size 12. She prefers style AND comfort and Clarks delivered aaaall the way!

love these shoes. was looking for a fun summer wedding shoe that wasn't a heel but was still 'fancy' enough to feel dressed up. these were perfect. super comfortable and i could see myself wearing them for a lot more than just summer wedding season. the soles are well padded and the shoes seem pretty well constructed. wore them for 3 days straight this past weekend with no complaints.

I thought the size and fit was generous but not big. The material is soft and of high quality. The colors are great and will go with any outfit. The sole is substantial enough yet not too flat or too bulky. They are perfect!

Comfortable out of the box. Usually wear sneakers or keens with orthotics for a day running errands. Wore these and they didn't hurt my feet! Bought for a trip to Europe and think they will work well.

I just wore these for the first time for 15 hours straight. I’m both sitting and in my feet all day but they were very comfortable and did not disappoint. Love the style too!

Yessss, I love these sandals! They are AMAZINGLY comfortable - by far the most comfortable of any sandals I've owned. I was a little hesitant to purchase them based on the reviews about them causing blisters, and I can see how that can happen if you velcro the strap too tightly on the side, but if you don't make that super tight, they're as comfortable as can be (I walked 2 miles in them the second day I owned them with no problems). I love how they look and feel! Will definitely buy these again.

Surprisingly comfortable. Fit perfectly! I’ll be wearing these to work, where I spend most of the day on my feet. I feel like they’re versatile enough to be a casual shoe as well. Great value.
