Unfortunately, this is a completely different shoe than the 1340 V2. I have worn the V2's for a few years and have loved them being very happy that I had finally found a shoe that did not hurt my feet, felt comfortable right out of the box and no need for the orthotics that I normally have to wear. The V3's are much more rigid and hurt my feet after just a few minutes, even with the orthotic insert that I use with other shoes. For some reason the toe box really rubs against my big toe and causes a lot of pain. I also noticed that while wearing these shoes, not only did my feet really hurt after one mile, but my knees and back began to hurt as well. Please, New Balance, bring back the V2's

I just got these and wore them to workout in at home. I’m not sure yet how I feel. The left one feels good. However, the right one doesn’t and I haven’t experienced this with athletic shoes before. They are very padded all around but the foot bed could use some more arch support. Also, the ball of my right foot felt “bruised” and sore after I wore them. I may return them or give it time to break them in. They are somewhat stiff. I’m not sure yet. I’m still on the fence.

I have a pair of the 1340v2 and love them. When I received the V3 I found them to be very narrow in the toe box and slightly narrow in the instep and heel. Also, the support is lacking in the shoe. I'm? sad to say, the V3 isn't an improvement on the former model.

Unfortunately these shoes feel awkward in the heel and the toe box is too narrow. I am disappointed in the way New Balance are making their shoes. I used to rely on them to be sturdy, supportive and have a wide toe box. Not any more. I've tried at least six pairs to no avail.

Very true to size. I ordered 9.5 W and they were perfect width and length. They are very well cushioned, too. The heel wasn't quite narrow enough for me and the right ball of foot bed area wasn't smooth... it was funky feeling so I sent them back. But maybe a different pair would be okay.

These shoes fit great. As long as you don't have pinky toes. And they hold up well. If you don't wear them. Honestly, I've been wearing NB shoes for over 10 years and I think these will be my last. They don't fit like they used to and they don't last very long.

These are very sturdy shoes, but seemed to run narrow for me. Might be good in wide, which is not typical for me. They are well constructed.

I buy NB because they offer wide widths, but the toe section of this sneaker was way too narrow.

I have been searching for supportive, cushiony shoes. These were not it. The seams on the toe area were hard, the shoes were heavy. Just didn't feel good.

I received this new shoe and their was a knot in the shoe string. I have worn new balances for years. These shoes are wider than normal NB shoes. The length is correct but the heel was much wider which rubbed constantly on my heels. Nice looking shoe.

I am a long-time use of the NB brand, but these shoes did not do it for me. The size was true, but the toe box was uncomfortably small & chafed my outer toes; the soles are inflexible & hard, there is little shock absorption & if you try to put orthotics in these, there is no room and you lose ankle support. I wanted these shoes for stability, ankle support and comfort, but stability is pretty much the only thing that worked on these.

These shoes are weird. They don't feel comfortable at all just putting on and wearing around the house. They look nice but the just fit weirdly. I'm sending them back unfortunately. New Balance shoes lately are just strange, weird fit and just something about them isn't right!!!! The heel slips and the right shoe fits differently than the left. I wish New Balance would go back to the way they use to make shoes.

Disappointed. I've been wearing New Balance for years. My previous shoes were the old version of 1340 and was fine but this V3 is terrible. It runs small, narrower and has not held up to moderate walking. They don't fit like they used to and after about 3-4 months of wearing them for my 3 mile walks on flat, clean sidewalks, 3-4 times a week they are destroyed. The shoe is filthy. It collected more dirt than I've seen on shoes I have owned for years and I don't know where it came from because I'm not walking on dirt or grass or stepping in puddles, etc. Holes are appearing all over the shoes and seams are bursting open. Also, both shoes squeak so loudly its embarrassing. I've been so pleased with New Balance shoes for years but I may have to switch if this is the new standards for quality. I don't know what happened at New Balance or who thought this was a good change but I'd love to return these. I

These shoes are weird!!!!! The right shoe fits differently than the left. They are really hard on the ball of the foot. There is just something off about them. They look good but I wouldn't recommend them. I have found that New Balance shoes have become very difficult to fit. The ones I have tried, which is probably most of them....are really hard on the feet and feel like I am walking on cement blocks. I'll stick to Brooks, they are at least softer and more comfortable without losing the all important support.

I ordered a pair of New Balance running shoes that cost over $140 and when I received them, they were in a plain brown generic box. When I opened the box, I was surprised to find a pair of running shoes that were obviously returned by someone else, as they had dirt on the soles and debris in the tread marks. Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed that Zappos would send me a pair of "used" shoes, especially when ordering such a high dollar shoe to begin with. If they wanted me to buy a pair of "used" shoes, the least they could have done was offer me a substantial discount. I called to complain and was told they would send UPS to pick them up. I put them in the box and left it on my porch. UPS dropped off a label, but didn't take the shoes. I just happened to find the label behind my neighbors hedges. I affixed the label to the box, however UPS never picked it up and I ended up having to take it to their store. Horrible experience... and I still don't have running shoes...ugh.... Would not recommend Zappos!
