Purchased for my teen son; he liked how easy they were to get in and out of. Look a bit inexpensive, but the ease of use beat out the look.

This was the first pair of self-lacing shoes I have ever purchased. They fit snugly and comfortably. Not having to retie loose laces is a definite advantage for this product. Although zipping them closed can be a bit of a chore, I still think they are a great idea. Being 61 years old and having arthritis in my hands, feet, and everywhere else, I really appreciate how this design simplifies my life. I plan to purchase another pair the next time I need new athletic shoes. Thank you!

The sneaker's fit well and were comfortable. I like the shoe design and they were very easy to take on and off.

Review after a month. For me, wide 4e is not wide enough. I have not gotten bigger. I guess they make them not as wide. Next time I will get widest available. Again, for me I found the overlay does not stretch enough. It keeps coming off the Velcro snap. To fix it, I put the flap under the tongue and it does not snap off. As an older person I most like not having to deal with shoelaces. Very upsetting to keep tying them when they come undone, with this I don't have to worry.

Fitment is on point. The velco release feature is nice for getting them on and off easily and quickly. Nice looking shoe too.

Bought these for my husband in an 8-1/2 B width, navy blue. He says they are comfortable and easily put on and taken off with the zipper/velcro entry. The shoe looks good on. If the shoes had been a purchase for myself, I would have wanted more cushioning in the inside. These are rather firm and there is very little inside cushioning. Overall, a nice looking athletic shoe.

I have always had a hard time with Nike shoes as they tend to run narrow for me. I ordered these in 11.5 4E and they fit like a glove. The toe box is roomy but not too tall, giving the shoe a sporty and less "orthopedic" look. Reasonable comfort, but NOT overly-cushy so if that's what you're looking for this may not do it for you. The FlyEase zippered access with Velcro closure makes the shoe very easy and quick to put on--a plus if you have difficulties with that. Even my 17 year old son thinks these look cool on me! Bought them on sale and I wish I had bought another pair--they've gone back up in price. In all honesty, I wouldn't pay $60 for these, but the next time they're on sale I will buy more.

i have spent most of my life either buying upsize or new balance only due to my 4E width feet. While recuperating from severe back surgery, my ability to bend and stretch to tie sneakers and the requirement that I walk to get my strength back, I started looking for a sneaker with velcro that would make it easier to close the sneaker for my walks. These Nikes meet the task rather well. The velcro attached to a zipper across the back make it easier to open up and slip into the shoe, although it would be easier if they had made the velcro just a little longer to make it easier to connect to the other side. If you don't have my back, that would not be an issue to most people. while there are laces, one never needs to tie them and they stretch, as does the upper material, which makes the sneaker more comfortable and easier to fit for those with wide and misproportioned feet. This is the first sneaker besides New Balance that has fit me well in 30 years and New Balance quality and sizing has suffered greatly recently due to the different countries making them differently. I hope Nike expands their offerings of velcro and soft material 4E sizes.

Slick looking comfortable shoe

Not nearly wide enough 154E. The label under the tongue states 15W which leads me to believe that the width is not 4E. Also, my high instep prevents me from closing the velcro strap.

I bought this for running. Really cool shoes. Comfortable. I like that the back of the shoe unzips.

I bought these shoes in a 10.5 and they fit very comfortably. During the first week, it was bliss. The velcro really secures the shoe around my ankle and though the laces are only decoration, I really get a feel like my shoes are tied. The only drawback is that when I walk, there is a squeak/pop in my right shoe coming from under the ball of my foot. I thought it was something on the outsole, but there is nothing there that I can find that can make the noise. After really focusing, it seems like the squeak/pop sound comes from something in the insole, as sometimes I can feel the pop on my foot when it happens. It gets irritating, especially when I walk 20,000+ steps in the day. I've reverted to using my older pair of shoes half of the time to take a break from the sound. One more thing to mention; be careful when walking in the rain, since the shoe is mainly mesh, water will get in and wet up your sock.

My son didn't love the velcro strap at the top of the laces. But this was just an aesthetic thing. Fit and comfort are very good.

I couldn't lace them tight enough to get a snug fit for basketball. Then the lace broke on one and there was no way that I could see to replace it since it runs through the heel of the shoe.

Felt very narrow and shallow, problematic if you have a tall foot. I did not feel much support.

Very comfortable shoe. Used them for toe-path and trail hiking/walking, and have been my go-to for walking-distance errands for the two months. Unfortunately, the velcro looping on the strap has frayed and no longer works. Zappos was great about exchanging the shoes, but I’m disappointed with Nike’s QC.

No idea what Nike was thinking with this shoe. The top zips open to insert your foot and then a velcro closure goes across the top of your foot. The problem is that I do not have bird legs and the velcro would pop loose every time I stand up. Not a recommended shoe unless you have wide feet and VERY narrow ankles.

Because of the mesh top, my son didn't feel it provided a lot of support and said they felt loose, when I know Nike typically runs a bit narrow.

these shoes were great for about 6 months - not even every day use - before the velcro gives out. it's not the hook side that gives out, but the loops. those have to be replaced and i can't find any way to replace the straps on these shoes.

My orthotist recommended these based on the style, I wear leg braces and the zipper seemed to promise an ease of use that would reduce the arduous process of putting on braces and shoes. As a seamstress I was skeptical of the ability of a zipper to take the pressure involved in coming around the heel. This is not an especially heavy duty zipper, it is more of a clothing or jacket type and after a couple months the zipper did break. I was disappointed because these were perfect house shoes, easy to put on over my braces and simple. I cannot feel my feet and do not use the insoles so cannot speak to the comfort of these shoes but while they are an ingenious idea they do need to come up with a better quality zipper that can take the pressure at the bottom where you have to align the sides to begin zipping the shoe. I can not recommend these shoes because they did not last more then three months when worn strictly in the house and not subject to any harsh wear. The zipper broke at the bottom, rendering them useless.

I really loved these shoes...until the Velcro started not holding together. The rest of the shoe is in great condition, but I can no longer get the Velcro to stay in place, which makes it impossible to wear the shoes. I typically get long life out of my Nike's, so it was somewhat disappointing that I'll have to move on to a new shoe so soon. Typically the old ones get designated for yard work, or other uses, but sadly these are going straight to the garbage. The Velcro and zip down the side look was cool, but I definitely wouldn't buy another pair. Not if you want to wear them on a regular basis and have them last.

There is a zipper that wraps around the heel. This I believe weakens the heel and the heel of my foot was not supported and keep coming off the side of the shoe. Worst design I've even experienced. I Love Nike but I do not recommend anyone buying this shoe.
