Fantastic bag! Used as a labor go bag for the family! Worked wonders! I would buy again and in the future

I have been looking for a duffel to use for travel for so long! I needed something that could be carried onto a plan (from any airline, worldwide) and also looked good. I was initially worried about the size of this duffel not being big enough but its perfect! The material is a very good quality and it will easily meet all my travel needs (as long as im smart about packing shoes ).

I got this bag for a trip to Greece and am beyond pleased with it. Not only did it fit into each of our airplanes' overhead storage bins (even on the smaller plane), it also worked well for a daypack and, coincidentally, fit perfectly over the handlebars of an ATV. The zippered pocket made for great, accessible phone and passport storage; the compression straps are easy to tighten and loosen and do a great job helping everything in the pack feel tight and secure; and the backpack straps are comfortable. Re: a previous review, the black bag now has a black interior. I'm already planning on getting the extra small, too.

Great travel backpack

I went with the XL because it also has the duffel straps versus the new XXL does not. Was a little worried it would be small but it's not, perfect size.

This is a great bag, holds more than expected and is such a great print!! She loves it. And I know it will last like all my other TNF products have and do!!

This is my second such bag- first was a large, this was an XL. I love the water resistant nature, large capacity and backpack straps for carrying

I used this bag for 3 day trip. I have no complains to this bag. This is my best shopping in life.

One of the best duffels I've ever owned. I use it for everything from trips to work, to traveling long distances. The bag is extremely durable and I carry my things without any worry of the contents being damaged by water, dirt, etc. The xs is the perfect size for me, the small pocket on the outside easily carrys my wallet, passport, and keys for easy access. The best feature is the ability to wear the bag as a backpack and the straps are surprisingly comfortable even with heavy weight. A lot of people complain about the carry handles located on the outside of the bag being too small, but they work perfectly for me.

Perfect for my long traveling to carry on plane as bookbag carry on luggage or to travel for days at a time.

Bought this to store all of my mountain bike gear on trips. Easily fits everything. Smaller lid and exterior pocket are great for small things. Plus the sack it comes in is perfect for throwing socks and chamois into!

Fantastic bag. Only thing that I wish I would have known is that TNF black is not all black but the north face logo on the ends is in a silver color. Overall though absolute bomber.

Just go, think about what to bring, where and how but don't think about carrying It all. This bag will suffice. Small will fit overhead or under seat unless stuffed. Medium might raid the flight attendants eyebrow- don't pack full and use compression straps, think small and it should work. Wet items inside main compartment in the tropics will steam treat your entire bag- try to avoid Dark colored bags in the desert will heat treat everything - definitely melts chocolate gifts. Pack bag- travel- enjoy

Great duffel bag that I use for EVERYTHING now! Very durable and stylish! Will probably never buy another duffel other than the base camp!

I bought this bag in size S last year, which I found to be the perfect size for a weeklong trip. I recently used the size S for a long weekend trip and found that I had excess room, so I decided to try the bag in size XS. I used the XS bag for a 4 day trip in which I needed to pack a business outfit, along w/my casual clothes as my ONLY bag for that trip. It was the perfect size and fits amazingly well under an airplane seat (note: the size S fits under an airplane seat too). The size XS is comfortable and easy to carry around an airport. Love it!

I have been using a Medium Yellow NorthFace Base Camp Duffel Bag for about 8-10 years for my Gym / Short trip Bag. For the Gym, the Medium was a bit bigger than I needed so I have been eying the Small for years. Unfortunately, my Medium one is never going to fall apart so chose to use it for storing some sport gear and bought a Red Small one. The only negative is that my older bag's shell material (The bag itself) was a little thicker gauge. Barely, but a little. I have a perspective that when receiving a gift. It doesn't have to be big or grand in size or role but the better the quality of the product more directly correlates to how much I like it. So quality is key and I have bought a few other bags as gifts for others for that very reason.

I love these bags top 3 northface product ever made (in my opinion) extremely durable I have several different sizes of this bags for various uses. I was hiking in Argentina and mules carried most of my gear to base camp, while others in my group had rips on there bag from the mule train my bag was as good as new (besides a few marks) but what else can you expect ordering a baby blue bag. Extremely durable love the product!

So I wish I could give the best review ever which I know this bag will meet those expectations. I own the previous model of this bag and have had it 5 years. I am currently working in Afghanistan and I constantly travel in this country and around to other war torn countries. The only reason I am not able to finish this review is because I'm still waiting to receive the bag. You guys don't have APO AE shipping so right now it is at my house about to be shipped out tomorrow from my wife so I can start using it here. This is not a negative comment. I looked at the updates on the design from the old bag and I already know it will be prefect. The base camp duffel has more functionality than any bag on the market.

This product was exactly what I needed. I wanted a duffle bag that I could use for weekend trips and possibly a week long trip to Mexico. It's the perfect size and very easy to carry. Others have complained that you can't carry it like a regular duffle bag but i still love it. Would buy this product again. Delivery is always so quick.

These are the best duffel bags out there. I have a XS, Small, medium, and a large. I hunt and have a lake house and travel a lot. These are great for anyone doing anything. About to buy my little girl one. All the colors are great I like the TNF black. They are built tough and rugged. I like how the new design brought back the top strap. I am a north face guy. I also have a travel suitcase I swear by.

I purchased the Small Base camp duffel. From going to the beach to using as my only carry on for 2 week trips this bag is worth it's weight in gold if it were filled with bricks. I've taken it through swamp tours in Florida and it's unphased after a light clean afterwards. It has an end pocket which is convenient for a phone, or wallet when traveling, I usually pack 9 days worth of clothes, my 15.6" laptop with a sleeve, extra pair of shoes, a DSLR camera with its bag having an extra set of lens and batteries and such and still have room to spare for souvenirs on the way home. It has a mesh sleeve on the inside which is convenient for cables and a toiletry bag, and a carabeaner to hold keys on the inside. The backpack straps are nicely padded and can even be removed and tucked into the bag I usually keep them on anyway. The stitching is extremely secure for the handles and straps. It's a tiny(and I mean tiny, like 1 squishible inch) bigger than "Carry-on" size but it will fit on every plane as a carry on no problem. Although it's not "waterproof" because of the zipper I've been in the midst of downpour rain with it for hours and not a drop of water on the inside. I just wouldn't submerge the entire bag in water if possible but rain is nothing to it. If it were huge I'd be buried in it, but I guess my future kids will just have to pry it from my cold hands.

My second base camp duffel. Strong, easy to clean, easy to carry.

I bought this duffel to travel around Europe and it was absolutely fantastic. I've owned it for one year now and have used it in my travels all across North American and Europe. I throw this bag all over over, in every imaginable condition and I never have to worry. It's has a very high built quality, all the components still work perfectly. If you pack it efficiently and use the compression straps, then you can use it as carry-on luggage. It's tough, spacious and perfect for everything I do.
