These are great minimalistic water shoes. The water vents at the bottom are well defined. They're mostly at the center of the shoe so some water may slosh around the toe area just a bit until you purposely move your foot to get the water to go from your toe box to the center. Really not a big deal though. Sizing: These felt maybe half a size large. I wear 11 in nearly everything except boots(which often are a little too large for a lot of people). For reference, I wear 11 in Nike and Adidas athletic shoes & sneakers, but these felt half a size large on me. I didn't get the time to try a 10.5, but if I had the time I would. Durability: These are really durable. I wore them in a river and walked around in a lot of mud and rocks. The mud comes right off in water(no cloth or absorbent material on these at all), and the sole is super sturdy. Comfort: I don't like wearing shoes without socks because heel rubbing and what not, but these are comfortable. I didn't walk in them for hours, but I never had any heel rubbing(even with them feeling 1/2 a size too large). Really easy to get on and off with the two pull tabs, but never feel like they will slip off. Definitely recommended if you want a minimal, sturdy water shoe. But if you have time, I suggest trying half a size smaller. Unless water shoes are supposed to fit a little bigger?

Despite running half a size larger, the Terrex Jawpaw II are excellent water shoes that are durable and drain well. I wore the shoes on the beach and in the tide pools.
