Poorly made, low quality since Teva bought Ahnu. Took these out on two backpacking trips. I am experienced hiker, and sized up a full size to accommodate intense hiking. First trip went great HOWEVER on the second trip the hard plastic lower heel on the inside of the shoe started coming detached, causing problems where it attaches to the leather upper and sticking out, rubbing my heel in both shoes. I got a huge blister on both heels in the exact same spot- painful and three days to hike back, it was a backcountry nightmare with these defective shoes. The only positive was the waterproofing worked beautifully, no wet feet. Since Teva purchased Ahnu the quality of the shoes has been greatly reduced, I will not be purchasing this brand again. Zappos was great and easy to deal with--- with their customer service is excellent and allowed a return.

I've lived in the mountains and hike a lot, and have joint problems. Ahnu Montaras have been my go-to boot for years - I have at least 8 pairs. This is my first pair since Teva bought them out, and they're TERRIBLE. They're stiff and kind of crispy, the insole is hard with hardly any give at all, they didn't bother putting the little loop on the back of the heel that you can grab to help pull them on. Really shoddy, and I'll never buy them again.

I usually wear a 7.5 in running shoes but often go for an 8 in boots however these are perfect in the 7.5 for me. Tried on the 8 and it seemed a bit too roomy though with a super thick sock it might work. I have fairly wide feet across the ball, high arches and a high top of my foot. I used a mid weight smart wool hiking sock to try on. I love the style and color, just what a classic hiking boot should be with a fun yet earthy combination of colors- I got the dark red with blue sole. Have not hiked in them yet so we’ll see.

I've had these boots for three months and must say I LOVE them! I bought the Deep Wine (a lovely dark purple) primarily to easily differentiate them from my kids' brown boots so my boots would quit disappearing. But I really love that these are actually cute. Although they were fairly comfortable out of the box, they were a little stiffer than the Timberlands I'm used to, so I wore them around town a couple of times before taking them hiking. I've been hiking in them many times now and they are extremely comfortable. I've also been through shallow streams and plenty of mud and my feet have stayed nice and dry.

These are great! Really light and comfortable for fieldwork. They rub a little on the heels when I first put them on but didn’t cause blisters when I wore them for extended periods. Nice for hiking, I haven’t tried them in rivers yet though.

I thought I’d tried these shoes again since my last pair were so comfortable when I summited Whitney last year. Once I opened the box, I noticed the cushioning didn’t feel as soft as my last pair. Now after recently completing a 21 mile hike, I can say these shoes are not as comfortable as I remembered. My feet hurt after about 10 miles.

These Teva boots (formerly Ahnu) fit me perfectly. I'm a size 9-9 1/2 medium width, and like room they provide my toes... the 9's work for me. This is my 4th pair and I wear them as my everyday hike, walk and gym shoes. They are waterproof and warm. I hesitate at this point to even consider another brand because these are so good for my feet. I'm probably going to keep both the black and the brown pair because I'm afraid they'll redesign them or discontinue this style. Not fancy, but it's the shoe I would prefer to wear over any other I own.

These hiking boots are amazing! They are truly light weight and comfortable. The tongue is padded, and the footbed is soft yet stable. We recently had a hurricane and the sticky mud ashes off really easily.
Great Boots!

Wore these the past couple days hiking in Yosemite. They're definitely for shorter hikes. My heels started aching after the 7 mile mark. They're breathable, sturdy, and attractive (not too girly). I highly recommend.

I really loved this boot. Style was good, color too. It lived up to what I used to expect from Ahnu. The boot itself fit my foot. The only problem was because it is a mid height boot it just hit above my ankle in a bad spot and I could tell it was going to rub. Because it is a pretty stiff leather I did not see it breaking in and becoming comfortable any time soon. Regretfully I had to return them.

I owned a pair of these before Teva purchased Ahnu. I LOVED them. Waterproof, comfortable AND they made my foot look small - rare in a snow boot. I purchased these in spite of some reviews suggesting a decrease in quality. So far, I’ve only tried them on so I can only say they look and feel the same. Very cute. Will update quality review after they are road tested. I’m a solid 8.5 and I bought an 8.5. True to size

This boot is very well made, stylish, nice color (blue), and the foot bed is comfortable right out of the box. That said - the boot cuff that is over the ankle area is lumpy and bumpy. I can feel the bumps from the seams rubbing on my ankle. Some of the lumps hit my ankle bones and made this boot impossible for me to wear just trying it out around the house - even with a heavier sock on. It might not be this way for every one. Sadly for me they have to go back - but I am going to try the low cut model in hopes that it will work out.

Great looking. But not comfortable. The tongue is too stiff. And when you squat or kneel you can feel the rivers from laces into your feet. Shame as I really hoped they would work. But definitely not a winner

These were my 2nd pair I liked the first so much. I’ve have the other for 2 winters now and still holding strong, warm and completely waterproof on my hikes. I like that they are truly lightweight too! Only reason I purchased a 2ndpair is that I want to make sure to be able to replace them when the day comes!

These boots were lightweight, comfy, roomy enough in the toe for cushy socks, and totally waterproof up to the ankle. They did great on a 4-hour hike after only having a day or two to break them in around the house.

These boots look and feel terrific. I have not found a more comfortable or supportive boot. My first pair lasted over 10 years and I expect these to do the same!

I got a half size larger than I usually do as my last hiking shoes were that size. I realized after I didn't need to do that and they probably would fit true to size. However I usually wear thicker socks when I am hiking anyway. I love that these are durable, waterproof and soil quality. I wear my hiking shoes until they literally fall apart. I feel these will last me for years to come! I would absolutely recommend these. Great buy and so cute!!

I love this boot. Bought my first pair 2 years ago. I liked the style and the fit and I liked that it fit over the ankle for more support. Last year I had surgery on both of my ankles so now I am proactive on finding hiking boots that fit probably and with good ankle support and this one works for me. Great color combinations too.

I have nothing but rave reviews!! I bought these to take to Yellowstone as I knew I'd be walking/hiking in the cold and light snow. I needed something that would keep me warm, dry, not slip, and that I could wear all day. These ticked every one of those boxes and more. They were comfortable right out of the box and MADE my vacation!!! I highly recommend these!!!

My boots arrived and I promptly put them on and spent hours in the yard with no hip, knee, or back pain. I wore my last pair of Ahnus until they fell apart (5 years or so) and am so happy to see that the design doesn't seem to have changed. Thanks for making such a great product!

I'm a land surveyor and I use these out in the field every day, even winter. By far the easiest boot to hike all types of terrain in. Light weight, hug your feet, grip, and they look good with most outfits. Highly complimented shoe out in public. Just a nice, independent, feminine look to it. The rubberish sole of the boot does detach from the material after some major weathering which I feel would be prevented if it was designed with more intense of a seal between the two materials (cough cough suggestion) but other than that, I love these boots and I've been buying this style boot from ahnu/teva for years.
