I have wanted a pair of walking shoes for a long time that would go with shorts in the summer. I spend a lot of time looking at things and deciding what to get as being in a large family I don't have lots of spare money when all the bills are paid each month , so making the right purchase first time is very important to me. Having spent a lot of time researching and reviewing walking shoes I was drawn to the terrex range. Owning other adidas clothing I knew I could rely on the build quality. Knowing that they have a gortex lining as well is fantastic because we all know what British summertime is like (starts off sunny then you just get warm rain for 3 Months). I opted for the swift in the end as it came with the pull cord lacing system. I have not used one before and have always had laces, which always seam to come undone at the most inconvenient moment when I'm out on the trails. So I wanted to give this lacing system a try. Wow, I love it. No fuss, no hastle and most importantly they don't come Loose when I'm walking. The sole is rigid, which is good for walking on trails. Feels a little firm on the pavement but that's not what these shoes are designed for so I can forgive them for that. I noticed over the weekend that the all black shoes show up dust scuffs easy but they wipe off very easy too with a damp cloth or baby wipe. I have not had to 'bed' them in like walking boots/shoes of old, they have been very comfortable right from the off. It really does feel like I'm wearing trainers.

I really like the overall style and comfort of my 2 pair of shoes. Great for my job at Providence Park.

Ordered three similar styles, all size 9. Fit varied slightly between the 3. Selected the pair that had the perfect fit, for my feet. Now need a second pair to prevent me wearing them out

The laces took a bit of getting used to but once I got the hang of them I found the outdoor shoes perfect for what I needed.

These shoes are made for long haul. Quality and style; and you just know they will last so much longer than other brands.

These shoes are true to size and fits very well. The shoe is very rigid, upper and sole whereby the sole could be slightly softer which might make them grippier. I will see if the shoe becomes softer overall due to wearing them...?

Frustrating you have to size up - normally a 11 but have to go to 12. Otherwise good waterproof shoes for long walks

Great quality, the outsole is a bit in the hard side but will provide good protection during any hike.

Good quality, great sale price. Got half size bigger as recommended by some of the reviewers and it is perfect.

It has a nice gripping. Its was great for a mild hike.

Had them in the past and was super satisfied with them. Bought a second pair and had a different experience. First it looks like the new model is smaller. Second, the materials feel cheaper. On a good side I like the stiffness of the model. It is very good on a hard and uneven terrain. I hate "hikers" with thin flex soil where you feel every coner of a rock under your foot.

Overall it has an attractive appearance, looks good when worn and is a solid shoe that will fulfill the purpose for which it was created. I think that a better solution could be found for the gray color of the intermediate sole, possibly another shade of gray that would better highlight the black color of the shoe. Compared to my old Adidas shoe, the AX2, whose sole (lower) after many months of wearing it came off at the back, the sole of this product seems a bit too stiff, at least that was the feeling when I put them on for the first time . Also compared to the old shoe, the new one is a bit wider, leaving a bit of play to the foot, AX2 wrapping the foot better, giving you the feeling of firmness/stability when you move. The closing system of the shoe Speed-Lacing System should be appreciated, it is efficient. It is high enough to protect the foot from moisture, in conditions of wearing on snow, mud, rain (especially in the tip/front part of the foot where it is frequently exposed to this risk).

Great fit , comfortable and great for walking. I've tried other brands but this footwear seems the best.

Great shoe for all uses- running, work etc. my third pair.

Lightweight, super comfortable, love the easy laces

Very sturdy and well made . I ordered size 7.5 (usually wear a size 7) and found them to be perfect in length but slightly tight on the width

Only wore it once in last few weeks. So far so good

They are good quality shoes. But I wear 5, I ordered 5.5 and they are a little bit tight. Also on a wet floor are quite slippery. Haven't hiked on them yet.

Had these shoes now for about 8 months, not worn very much and one of the laces has broken, cannot find original replacement laces anywhere!!! Good comfy shoes though.

iv only had a month so far,but they seem to be good enough,the grip is probaly the best iv come across on any shoe and pretty comfy to with the added bonus of being waterproof

This is my 4th pair of these excellent shoes. One gripe is that this iteration is narrower than all the other pairs though perhaps in a year from now they'll feel like previous pairs? I get them because the are comfortable and deliver the stability, traction and comfort I need as I have disabilities - foot drop etc.

Very sturdy but small ,so I had to go up a size. Order 2, send back the one that doesn't fit.

Had the previous model so buying these was an easy decision.
