I'm about 6' tall and 140 lbs with a swimmer's build. I usually wear a size small in tops, but I bought a medium in this jacket because I wanted to be able to wear layers under it. I am glad I bought the medium. For me it is a little bit tight across the shoulders (I have broad shoulders but a flat chest), and comfortable in the waist and hips. This jacket was a perfect fit for me-- not too tight or too large. It slightly skims the body since it does taper in at the waist and it is straight at the hips. To my surprise, the sleeves were long enough even with my long arms! I love the length of the jacket because it is a tunic length that covers my butt! I feel more protected from the elements.

I ordered this in Black size M. After reading some reviews I actually down sized. I am 65, usually wear a Large in all things on top. I purcahsed this for several reasons: I already have a black raincoat, but wanted something "packable" for a trip. It has a two way zipper, which is so important for me as we travel sitting down, or just want more movement. It is "waterproof", NOT resistant which make a big difference if you don't want to get wet! and lastly, the wrists have velcro closures to keep the warm in and wet out!. I like the hood as well, it is not detachable, but it does have a better facial coverage with a little material that hangs over your face.

After reading the reviews I ordered a size up. Normally I wear a medium so I ordered a large. Waayyyy too big! But I love this jacket so I’m exchanging it for the correct size. I don’t know what people were talking about with it running too small. I was swimming in the large. That aside it has all the features I wanted. Full zip, long back to cover my butt, and a nice sized hood.

This is a true waterproof raincoat with a generous hood and lots of style. I ordered a size S and it fits great. This jacket is somewhat fitted. I'm 5'3" and 110 pounds with a 34 bust and 34 hips for a sizing reference. The Light Bisque Stars Print color option can actually pass for a very light gray color, which I actually prefer to light blue. My first impression of the color online was light blue.

I wear a size 12 and always a large, but I read the other reviews about sizing up and they were spot on. It is great in the rain and the length is perfect, not too long where you cant walk quickly. I am a patagonia snob and actually love this more than my regular patagonia jacket. Dont let it sit in your cart, jut buy it.

I wanted to love this jacket. In fact, in most ways I did love this jacket. I ordered the Nocturnal Hex Print, and really liked the way it looked. The jacket also seemed to be very well made. I would have loved wearing this jacket, except that it was too tight through the hips and the sleeves were much too long. I am 5’ 4” and weigh 127 pounds; I am slightly pear-shaped.. I often get a size small in other jackets, but was pretty sure that I would need a medium in this one. The hip measurement for size medium is supposed to go up to 40”, which should have been plenty. I could zip the jacket up, but just barely and it did not look or feel right. I’m not planning to get a size large, because the sleeves would be even longer and overall it would just be too big. So disappointed this did not work out, but it probably would work for others.

This is a very cute coat out of the box but it is sized in a strange way. I bought it for my 12 year old daughter who is sizing out of kids' clothing, and we wanted something that was kind of tunic length to wear and keep dry on a trip to Europe. So, based on the reviews which said it ran small I first got her a small (normally I would buy her an XS). The sleeves are VERY long on a person of 5 foot 1 inch. We can roll them up once and they are still pretty long. So, since it was roomy, I decided to try the XS for her. The sleeves were just as long on the XS (freakishly long) but the shoulders were too tight on her, and they were also too tight on me (I'm 5'5'' and a 0-2. The sleeves were also long on me. Such a shame, cute fabric, order it if you have really long arms and extremely narrow shoulders! I wish they would make a longer style coat in a junior size.

I have always hated every raincoat I’ve ever owned, they are always unflattering and uncomfortable. This coat is INCREDIBLE! It’s comfortable, extremely flattering and the hood somehow didn’t even mess up my hair. I wore it in a torrential downpour and didn’t get wet at all. I’m 5’ 6’’ 135 pounds and I ordered a medium so I could wear sweaters underneath. I highly recommend!

I don't understand why other purchasers advised to order a size up. I did so and this was not a good idea as medium (I wear a size 8) would have been a perfect fit. After reading the reviews, I ended up ordering a large and it is slightly too big, especially the sleeves.

I got this raincoat to replace an old one of similar proportions. This one is so much better. The hood stays up and out of my eyes when I am walking my dog in the rain. The sleeves adjust to keep water out and there are plenty of pockets. The zipper and snaps keep out rain and wind. This is probably going to be hot in the summer, but for now it is great. I love it and recommend it.

I’ve wanted a more fitted and longer rain coat for a while now. My style is more casual/sporty, but I like looking put together- this rain coat was what I was looking for! It’s basic, yet feminine and looks great. I have a longer torso & arms and this fit great. I find Columbia is made for longer armed people, whereas North Face is more for petite people. I go between a small & medium in Columbia coats and I would definitely recommend sizing up if in between. I ordered a medium and it was perfect. For reference, I’m 5’6” & 125lbs

I am glad I read previous reviews. This coat runs narrow though the hips. I purchased one size larger than I normally wear. It fit through my hips but is too roomy in the shoulders. Interesting crinkle sound to the fabric. Zipper isn't the easiest to get started. Have to admit, Columbia jackets aren't what they used to be. The fit monitor doesn't allow for big on top, snug on the bottom.

Loved everything about the jacket - except the poor sizing. I ordered the Columbia Arcadia II and also this jacket in XL. The Arcadia II fit great. This one came nearly two inches shy of closing over my chest. Such a shame as it is longer and has better details. Not sure if it was a mistake or if Columbia has poor consistency across products.

PROS: This longer length jacket keeps your bum dry. Light weight enables you to easily do you layer for all kinds of weather. It's a perfect jacket with the adjustable hood. You also make a splash with the cute colors offered. CONS: I had to reorder one size up because jacket runs slight small because of the tapered waistline.

This is a BEAUTIFUL, well made rain jacket!! Awesome fit and very attractive and well made. I LOVE this color!! I DEFINITELY recommend it!! I originally bought this jacket in a Medium, after trying on a Small Columbia jacket at a local store. The Medium fit snugly, so I ordered a Large. The Large is PERFECT and I can fit a sweatshirt or sweater under it. I weigh 119 lbs., which was why I thought the Medium would fit well. I am located in Northern VA.

Great fit! I'm 5'1 and 110lbs, and the Small fit me with extra room to layer some sweaters. Love the extra length for rear coverage, and the long sleeves!

I LOVE this jacket! I originally ordered a L as most of the reviews said it ran small. I was swimming it in. I exchanged for a M and it fit perfect. It looks good with a light layer underneath or their is room for a thicker layer. I am 5'9 and the length covers my butt when standing. For reference I am 140 lbs.

I am 5'7", 145 lbs and I got this jacket in Pond in a Medium. I read reviews and worried the size might be too small, but it is PERFECT!!! This jacket is adorable! Such a flattering cut and color. It's a pretty dark cool green which looks really great with my skin tone and hair color. I don't feel restriction when I move with it and I was able to layer a long-sleeve tee and sweatshirt underneath just fine. The hood extends slightly over your face for better coverage, and the zipper is great quality. Love the length, quality, cut, and color! I am glad I purchased this and feel I will be able to use it for years.

I'm 5'2" 165lbs, pear shaped. This jacket in size large was just a little too snug. I had no problem zipping it up but there was no extra room if I wanted to sit down or wear a thick sweater, so I returned it. The style is nice but the body just isn't made for short people proportions. The sleeves were well beyond my fingertips, and the height between the shoulder line and arm pits was too long. Definitely cut for someone very tall and lean. Another thing to note - I ordered in Timber Spacey Dots, which on Zappos shows the wrong image. I had searched that pattern on Columbia's website since it was obviously a wrong image on Zappos (showing a winter puffer w furry hood). It's a very dark maroon/brown, with pink dots.

This coat is NOT true to size. I ordered a Large. The only time I order anything over a Medium is when I plan to wear something bulky underneath. I could barely zip this up. Order at least one size up.

So cute, fits perfect. Havent had a " rain coat" in a long time. Saw this, thought id give it a try. Perfect for a rainy yucky day that isnt too cold out.

I was looking for a mid length, waterproof, basic rain jacket in a classic color. I first bought a navy north face but I hated how my other layers would get caught in the Velcro along the zipper. The splash II has buttons instead and the black color is perfect! I wear it everyday as I live in the Pacific Northwest. It does great with under layers (vests, hoodies) and still has good movement. I really like how versatile the style is and I wear it both for business and home days.

I loved this jacket so much that I bought one for my mom! She loves it too! Very versatile for walking her dog in any weather in the PNW. I use mine horseback riding and it works great!

Great jacket! Perfect fit for tall people like me. I have long arms and finding coats and long sleeved shirts with long enough sleeves is HARD!!! I was thrilled when I tried this on and the sleeves were plenty long! Thank you Columbia! I love the overall fit of the coat as well. I bought a large and it is big on me, but not too big. Big enough that I can wear extra layers under it during the cold months. I normally wear a medium so I expected it to be a little big. So far I only got to wear it in the snow. The snow that melted on me rolled right off and it blocked the wind out really well. So I give it 5 stars on windproof and waterproof.
