I purchased this rain coat in a size large and while it fits it's very snug (I'm 5'4", 175lbs with a D cup bust), and when zipped up it flattens my chest considerably. I doubt I would have room to have any very thick sweater or fleece underneath. The yellow color also feels a bit more goldenrod than sunny yellow, but is still nice. The fold-able hood is great, it's nice that it can be tucked away when not in use, and the zippered pockets are great too. I like the jacket, and so will exchange for the roomier XL.

This jacket is super lightweight and great color. I layered it with a Columbia fleece for rainy, cold days in NYC. I wear a 34DDD so I was unsure what size to get. I wanted to be able to layer if needed and the XL fit better than the large. I like that the jacket has a velcro adjuster on the sleeve so I am able to make it fit more snug. It also has a bungee cord in the waist that I used to adjust the fit. Without these two options it would look like I was wearing my husband's jacket as I am rather petite but have a large bust. I am also happy that the hood is hidden so I can use it when needed and not have it out on non rainy days.

The descriptions reads: Fabric: Shell: Hydroplus 100% nylon, Lining: Fine Mesh 100% polyester. There is NO LINING in the jacket. only the pockets are mesh. Very Cheap :( The sleeves are velcro straps with no elastic. The fit of XL for me at 5'6 pushing 170pds with large D breast. I didn't bother pulling out the hood of something I will never wear, maybe good if you wear a long sleeve shirt under it to keep it from sticking to your arms. Love the color but so disappointed

I'm usually very happy with Columbia and looked forward to getting this jacket. But to be completely honest, it was one of the smallest extra larges I've ever tried on. Fitted is one thing. But this jacket thinks it's a pair of booty shorts.
Because I couldn't imagine a day in this, it was returned.

I needed a waterproof shell for hiking & had my eye on the switchback III. I wore it today in a downpour and watched the water bead right off, yet it breathed nicely. It is nicely fitted but generous enough for an underlying fleece. Velcro on the sleeves make wrists snug and dry. When the hood is secured in the collar, rain can drip down your neck, so wear a good hat if you're not putting up the hood.

I picked up two of these jackets to wear as we approach spring time, for wet and damp days when I am out walking. I really like the jacket and it's fit. I am 5'5" and 127 pounds and bought a small. Bear in mind that it is just a shell, it is not lined with any other fabric. But this is exactly what I was looking for to layer over my regular tops which I can pick and choose depending on the day's weather and temperature.

The Only Rain Jacket I need! I frequently go on fly-fishing trips to places like Mexico, Belize & the Bahamas where afternoon showers are common. This rain Jacket is perfect for those conditions. It's my go to rain jacket!

I plan to carry and travel with this jacket in warmer weather since it is unlined and very thin. I don't plan to wear it in an all-day downpour but will be convenient to stash in my car or small backpack/purse when hiking. Came in handy when walking through a mosquito-heavy area as well. The hood has good coverage and I love that it stowes away when not needed. The light blue color is pretty but see-through so I bought the more- turquoise colored Miami, which seems less see-through. 5'4" 122 lbs: the small fits over a t-shirt or lightweight long sleeve flannel shirt but won't fit over anything bulkier.

I wore this without using the slides at the sides of the hood and I couldn't keep the hood from blowing off. That said, once the hood is adjusted, you can make it fit pretty snug and it does cover the entire head. I recommend adjusting the hood before you go out in rain or wind. I ordered this a size larger than normal, size Small (112 pounds 36B) so that I can wear a heavy fleece underneath. This jacket has no lining so it is a rain/wind jacket only. It would be better if it had a lining to enhance warmth. It could also be a bit longer to protect your entire bottom. I ordered Dark Nocturnal which is a rich navy color and the value for the price is excellent.

The coat is not white white but white see through! You can clearly see the color shirt I have underneath if you see the picture with the arm extended.
Looks tacky. Wasn’t pleased! I returned.

I bought this awhile back but hadn't used it until today and the rain soaked through it. I'm really disappointed and won't be buying Columbia again. I'm on a trip and now I have to buy a new rain jacket. I will say that it dries quickly.

I just used this jacket on a kayak trip where we got rained on for a good hour plus. This jacket did NOT keep me dry - I was soaked completely & miserably cold...

This rain jacket is very nice! It is very warm but light. I can wear it as a light jacket or if it is cold I put on a sweater underneath and then the jacket and it almost works like a winter coat. Very high quality!

Lightweight shell. Perfect for travel in summer to rainy places. Eventually water will seep through if true downpour but very good for moderate rainfall.

I read somewhere to order a size up because it had a slim fit. I'm glad I ordered a larger size. Plus, i could just use the bungy to slim it down. Wore it for hiking and then it rained. This jacket worked great in repelling water and kept me dry. Love the maroon/burgundy color.

Comfortable fabric, nice style. If you plan to layer, suggest you order a size up since the jacket is slightly fitted.

Upon reading the reviews I erred on the side of caution and ordered an XL because several people noted that their jackets ran small. However, I should have not sized up so much and gone with a size Large instead. I normally wear a medium, and the large would have been room enough for layers. The sleeves of the XL are very long. I had shipping issues in getting my items, so I'm hesitant to return this for a smaller size, and will keep it as the return isn't worth the trouble. Check the size guide and go with what works for you. Be cautious of how high you size up!

I ordered White. I really like this style, it fit perfectly, is well constructed and of good quality, however the material is very sheer and see-through, you can not only see the lining of the front pockets, which are gray (why?), but you can see all of your clothes through it. I returned it, $40 is too much for me to not really like the jacket.

I bought this product about 10 years ago. When it wore out, I looked for another. I was pleased to find it on sale. It is lightweight, packable and keeps me dry in wet conditions.

I bought this jacket for my mom and she couldn't be happier with it. Nice fit, beautiful color, and seems very well fabricated and of good quality. The arms are a bit long for her but I think is because she has short arms. I thought this jacket was more like a light wind type, but it turned out to be more of a rain jacket type (thicker and heavier), nevertheless very happy with this purchase. Highly recommended jacket!

It's perfect to go out running or to go out when it's rainning.
