This was shown to be 4E but Wolverine does not make any 4E boots. So they are in fact 2E but Zappos marks and sells as EW (4E). 2E would just normally be marked as W (Wide)

reading reviews on this pair said it runs small but ordering a half a size up helps. This is similar to Romeo Wolverine and it is very comfortable. Great shoe They improved the insole and is thick and very supportive since I am walking 12 hours shift.

Bought the usual 10EE for my husband who has a wide foot. These were so narrow that he couldn't get them on to comment on the comfort. Solid looking work boot if you have a narrow foot. Exchanged for the Brookville Georgia boot which was far wider.

These are listed on the website as “4E” width but they are not a true 4E. On the box and shoe they are simply marked “extra wide.” Extra wide is not the same as 4E. My husband needs a 4E so these were much too narrow. Not sure if this is on Zappos or the company for labeling them this way online.

Very nice and comfortable

As a female with wide feet these boots fit great, not as wide as expected but they are still comfortable to wear. The insole is currently comfortable but I do plan to add in a gel insole as they wear down since they are thin insoles. Out of all the composite toe shoes these have been the best ones for me and my picky feet.

Great fit. I have a wide foot (4E) and it feels very good. Not a heavy shoe.

Based on the reviews, I went half a size more 9.5M, otherwise I think 9 would be too tight. The insole is thick and very supportive, excellent for long days standing. Arc support excellent. Compared to the Chelsea style I90 carbonmax, this boot is lightweight yet robust on the outside. A nice brown, not too dark, not too light. Definitely go up one size. You cannot go wrong or try the Chelsea style wolverine romeo I90 carbonmax.

Boot is comfortable and works good with my high arch.

I have small wide feet ( 6- 5E ) and it is impossible to find small footwear in my size. I buy these in a 7-4E which is the closest I can get to my size. Being a size larger the 4E width is comfortable and when laced up they do not slip around as much as you would imagine. They are very sturdy and comfortable. I normally do not buy clothing or footwear on line but I always buy from Zappos because they have a very wide selection and their free shipping and returns makes it just as convenient as shopping in a brick and mortar.

Nice looking boot...but far too narrow.

These boots exceeded expectations in terms of comfort and design. They run a bit narrow but this didn’t bother me at all since I have narrow feet. The footbed provides excellent support and the boots were lighter than expected. As always Zappos got them to me in a timely manner and I don’t know if I can ever buy shoes online outside of Zappos!

too tight on the width

Took a week or two to break in. Size and width fit as expected. The boots are really warm, wish the inside was more breathable.

fit was good and after about 9 months they still feel great. as per other reviews i opted to get the wider toe and i have a good amount of room. definitely get some insoles with good arch support because this one doesnt really do much. i changed out the laces because they kept getting knotted on itself. other than that a fantastic boot and one of the best i have had. wolverine is becoming my favorite.

I normally wear a size 11, went with the 10.5 Extra Wide and they fit perfect. Very comfortable on the first month of use with no break in period, but you will need better insoles later, not too comfortable once you stand/walk around in them for more than an hour.

Most comfortable steel toe boots I’ve worn yet.

Okay, I bought 10.5 EW. They fit perfect. It's a snug fit. I really like them. My feet are not wide but not narrow. So if you have a wide foot they will be tight. Just a heads up.
