Would love to review any Five Fingers for women but I can't. They don't sell any for women that need larger than a size 10. Takes me back to the 70s and 80s when women who wore sizes over 10 were told to check out men's shoes. Never again! Five Fingers, you need to get out of the dark ages ! We tall women need sizes 11, 12, and sometimes longer. Please get with the program and you'll have more lady buyers. By the way, love Zappos !!!

I ordered two pairs of vibrams, both at size 38. The other one was a half size too big, but this one fit in the length. What did not fit was the strap -- it was far too short for my foot. See images! This shoe might be fine if your foot is low-volume (mine is average height and quite wide).

I wear size 8 in dress shoes, 9 in most running shoes (except for APL where I were 9-1/2) and 39 in Vibrams (U can't go by any other number when buying Vibrams). The 39 and 40 in the V-Soul seemed indistinguishable to me. I bought both sizes since Vibram is not always consistent with its sizing.
However, I am having to return both because the straps barely wrap around my wide flat feet. Needed something classier and sturdier than the Vibram Vi-B to wear outside the house but these will not look classy if the velcro is showing. Very disappointed; had wanted so much to love these. Those with narrow feet might do well with these.

I almost always take a size 8 a mule or a flip flop I will go down to a size 7 but 8 (38) is my size for dress, casual and athletic shoes. I purchased a size 39 (which to me would equate to a size 9 ) you mark 39 as a size 7 so no matter how you look at it, this shoe in a 39 should either be too big or too small for me. . . 39 fit perfectly! I'm glad I knew my sizes and spoke to other retailers to know, these run small, but with your sizing...I would have been confused and purchased the wrong size. . . just let customers know it runs about a size smaller than normal. You shouldn't make up your own sizing. Other retailers had it correct.....thank goodness!
Otherwise, the shoe is great! I use it for yoga, Barre and Pilates.
I'd also recommend:
I love the Gold's Gym version of the shoe as well as the hemp walking version

Come on, Vibram. Many of us athletic women need a larger size than 10! Be realistic! You will sell more shoes if you offer an 11 and 12. Wearing men's shoes is NOT the same for a women's foot.

I bought this in nude (or pink) and I love it! The fit beautiful, look great and are comfortable. I am recovering from a bout of plantar fasciitis and tendonitis (a really nasty case lasting an year) and have to use custom orthotics. The adjustable strap holds the orthotics in place and I live in it at home. I am thinking that I should probably buy another one for outdoor use in the summer. Not sure if the sole will be tough enough to deal with man made surfaces -- will have to try. But so far, I love it.

I love them! I wear them indoors. I have osteoarthritis in my big toe and these totally eliminate the pain..perhaps because the allow the toe traction. I wear similar gloves on my hands for housework. They are cool in the summer because I don’t need socks. I am going to look for something for outdoors but I am restricted because I need a 35 (size 5).

These adorable flats are great for the office, church, or hitting the town. They pair well with both casual and dress attire making them an excellent everyday minimalist shoe. They are soft, snug, and extremely comfortable. However, I would not recommend them for trail or rough terrain use. If you tend to fall between sizes, follow the recommendation to size up; they run small compared to the Classic and Alitza Loop styles.

I love the style yet still returned them. I did not expect the formed/structure sole from FiveFingers. I love the slightly formed sole, yet hate the overly formed heel cup. The formed heel cup completely is a no-go for me (it feels like a dress ballet flat in the heel) & I'm interested in something with more flexibility like the other FiveFingers styles. For the fit, I only own the Classic & KSO styles & the V-form is the perfect fit for me (even more so than these other styles.) The other thing is the material seems slightly dressy. I’m not sure if it’s just the sheen of the material in combo with the formed heel & sleek design, but I’m not sure if the fabric is as rugged & durable. I for sure would’ve kept them & not been concerned with the fabric if the heel cup wasn’t so structured! Considering Zappos return policy, it’s most definitely worth trying to see if they’ll work for you!

These would have been awesome if not for the fit. These ran was smaller than my other pairs of Five Fingers. The strap is also far too short to cross the foot properly. Hopefully the next model will be improved!

Like little gloves for your feet. They just give you a tiny bit of grip and protection, and that's all. Plus they're actually quite pretty in the silver color. I love VFFs and really wanted to love these, but unfortunately, the sizing didn't quite work for me. I normally wear a 41 or 42 in VFFs, and I have a Morton toe (my second toe is longer than my big toe). The 41s were too tight on my toes, and the 42s were too loose around the rest of the foot. If they fit, they'd be great for indoor fitness (I'd been hoping to use them for barre and modern dance).

I bought these for yoga, as I’m brand new to it. I googled recommend yoga shoes and these were high on the list. They are extremely comfortable and great to walk in, however barefoot is the trend at the yoga studios I go to. I need to try them out for a full class though, I find sometimes my feet slightly move from moisture…I do highly recommend these though!

My previous "dressy" five fingers have finally worn out, after years of service. These are even a little dressier than the last pair. I like them very much. Since I'm an old lady of 66, I feel a little conspicuous wearing my five finger shoes (I have about a dozen pair in rotation now), but they're so comfortable, it's hard to find "regular" shoes that feel as good. But I can't wear sporty looking shoes everywhere, so these and the hemp pair I got at the same time will be my "dress-up" shoes.

Such a minimalist shoe, they’re absolutely lovely on your feet. Flexible beyond belief, these shoes can do anything. Love them! wear a 9 in regular shoes, and the size 40 is what fits me in fivefingers.

Better than barefoot! I love wearing these around the house. The individual toe pockets allow me to stand with greater stability and the sole provides nice cushioning and support. I took off a point because I feel a little rub on the heels, but I think it’ll get better with time.

I love this shoe! They are perfect for work, casual, and hitting the town; henceforth, a great everyday barefoot shoe. I would not recommend them for trail hiking. If you have worn the Vibram Classic or Alitza Loop, these are a bit small. Consider sizing up. I can’t say enough about how stylish and comfortable these shoes are. Well worth the purchase. I bought them in black and will be ordering the other colors also.

I really like this shoe, however, if your toes are on the shorter side, it might be beneficial to go down a half size. I stuck with my traditional size 9 and it was roughly a centimeter too long. Overall, these are the perfect shoes for yoga, pilates, or any low-impact walking.

If I could title this review, it'd be, "Yes, but...", or, "I kept these—but." Overall, they're a solid 4-star shoe: cute; functional; moderately to mostly comfortable (more on that in a bit); a neutral colorway that goes with enough of my existing wardrobe and, frankly, necessary, as I needed a pair of (zero drop) spring shoes that were slightly more elevated than my other barefoot footwear while hunting for ballerina flats. I kept the tags on for a day indoors while weighing whether or not I wanted to keep them — usually, that's a sign that they'll go back — but after a week of still-cold weather in New England, it warmed up, and I wasn't quite ready for sandals in both appearance and temperature when I left the house earlier. They felt good enough by then, so on they went. What I questioned before I made that decision: whether these are actually zero drop, as the heel area feels slightly elevated compared to the rest (perhaps a thicker portion of sole). Keep in mind that I am someone who has worn barefoot shoes for going on four years — I can barely tolerate "regular" styles anymore except on special occasions — and I work at a standing desk, mostly in my bare feet. So, this might not be as big of a draw for someone else. The next is that the shape is not exactly conducive to a foot, i.e. the toe spread is a bit tight/straight (and as another reviewer mentioned, the lengths of the individual toe spaces are in a few places too long, where the slack has caught on the ground a few times). If you've got a "high-volume" foot, you might find these too tight — I have relatively slim/athletic feet, and the strap *just* fits. On that note: I wish it (the strap) were longer. I don't care for the fact that if I want to wear these a bit looser, the velco is exposed — it looks cheap. The stitching is a bit tight and leaves marks near the inner front portions of my feet — but I also have small bunions in these areas, so it could be that the bony growth has caused that. [See photos for all references to style remarks.] Overall, I'm happy with these shoes— I wore them on an incline walk earlier and they felt great; they gripped my Pilates equipment just fine; a lady at the supermarket came up to me to compliment me on my "cute little toe shoes", and I can definitely see myself wearing them into spring and summer with dresses, to boot. A few tweaks, and they'd be perfect, but I'm also very particular (and 40, not new to Vibram). Hope this helps!

So comfortable and light. Despite how thin and bare the soles feel, I was pleased that there is some protective padding at the bottom that does a nice job. I wear size 7.5 in most brands. Size 38 (7-7.5) fit perfectly, like a tight but comfortable glove. Good for yoga and dancing. The size 39 (7.5-8) fit more like a shoe, which I initially did not like as much. However, I decided to keep the larger size because I may add additional padding in the sole for dancing on very hard floors. I'm old, so the padding is important for me. This is my first pair of 5-finger shoes. Excellent! The soles are incredibly grippy.

I really wanted to like this, and would’ve exchanged it for a size bigger because it was a little bit snug, but the Velcro strapping is a full 2 inches too short and I could not even secure it to my foot. I have moderately high arches and in steps, but this is an adjustable Velcro strap and that should be accommodated for.

I tried to wear my size 39 while doing yoga but my right foot was hurting. I measured both shoes and the right one is 1/2 smaller than the left. Returning them as defective. I'm sure I would have loved them but am not sure I want to try again.

These are such a fun take on the ballet flat look that is coming back into style. I will not be returning to the putrid lifestyle of the ballet flat, but I think these do a cool job of that. Esp in NYC.

This was my second pair of these shoes (first pair gray). Really like the minimalism and toe separation. Use them daily and at the gym.
Unfortunately the wrong size was sent;— I ordered/need an 8-8.5 but was sent a 7.5-8. Also, box was not original — but generic with neither brand label nor size.
Returning and hoping for correct size to be sent.
