I wear a 42 wide in women's but can often wear a 42 regular width in men's shoes. I figured I'd risk these even though wide width wasn't available. My foot hangs over the outside edge of the sole. So I would be walking on fabric. Also there is mild pinching/tightness at the top of the foot that I've never experienced in any shoe before where the shoe straps crosses. This could, likely, be fixed by wide widths being available. The shoe could look cute IF it was in wide width, but the obtuse angle and the foot overhanging sole really change the angles and shape and just NO.

My new favorite shoes! So light and easy to adjust - I can't wait until it gets warmer so I can wear them every day! Love the little travel bag they came in. I think k I will probably ask for another pair for my birthday. If you like a lightweight minimal shoe, you will love these.

Great shoe if you like the barefoot feeling, which I do.......do not expect just to put these on and wear hem all day, you wll be using muscles in your feet and legs that are not accustomed to being used.....however great fit, great show, great company....

Have worn other Vibram types for several years. This Furoshiki variety actually looks much better on the feet than in the picture. Easy to slip on/off. However, the right shoe was way too barefoot for me, probably because I've had surgery on the right foot before. So, unfortunately, had to return. Otherwise, felt true to size. I typically wear 8 to 8-1/2 in dress shoes, 9 in running shoes, 39 in most Vibrams; size 39 of the Furoshiko was a good fit.

I’d probably rate this a 4 out of 5 or even 5 out of 5... if it came in wide width, but it doesn’t. I normally wear a 42 wide. I ordered a 42. So these results aren’t shocking but I’m leaving a comment for others with wide feet: Both feet, the ball of my foot hangs over the sole which means no protection because I would be walking on fabric with the outside edge of my foot. Because of my wide feet (I suppose?), the top of the shoe where the straps cross are uncomfortably tight which is something I rarely experience with any shoe. Style was interesting but I felt that the shoe should have been slightly less pointy, perhaps again because the shoe sole is narrower than my foot which means it narrows to a more obtuse angel than someone would experience if they didn’t have wide feet.

These aren't really the 5-finger style just flats with wrap-around uppers. I was disappointed because my toes like the individual toe separation, but my fashion sense doesn't like seeing the individual toe pockets. Plus, toe shoes are not in alignment with my workplace professional dress code.

I have extremely problematic feet. I’ve been disabled a very long time and my feet have become highly arthritic and rigid lately. It’s become very difficult for me to find shoes that I can get on my feet and that don’t cause pressure spots in odd places. These furoshiki shoes have solved all those problems, and I could not be happier. I simply put my foot in the sole and then wrap the shoe to fit my unique shape and then I’m good to go. The Velcro stays in place, and if my feet swell later in the day, I can simply loosen the straps a bit. I love them so much that I bought a pair of the shearling boots for the winter. I realize my situation isn’t the norm, but I wanted to let other folks like me, especially those of us with spinal cord injuries, to know you can find a shoe to fit some crazy feet.

I expected to love these shoes, and they are even better than I expected. The soles are more durable than I had expected. I thought these were meant to be primarily "indoor" shoes but the soles are durable enough to be worn outside. The biggest criticism I have with all Vibram shoes is their inconsistent sizing. Therefore it is important to note that, rare as it may be, Vibram has made this model true to the standard European sizing. At the time I got the Furoshiki's, I bought two other models of Vibram Five Fingers shoes. All three pairs fit me bit every pair of shoes is a different size. The smallest sized Vibrams I bought are FOUR SIZES smaller than the largest pair. And to repeat: All of them fit. So please, Vibram. You got it right with this model. Re-number your other models so that they are consistent. Why make it so difficult for your dedicated customers to buy your shoes?

I begrudgingly returned these, but I still give them high marks because the issues were the fault of my stupid feet and not the shoe. These are SO comfortable - like a swaddle around your feet - and I had intended for them to be my house shoes, but inside the shoe is a little slipper that covers your toes and for some terrible reason, one of my feet had my toes catching that little toe slipper in the worst way and I just knew that it was not an issue that could be broken in. These are a great gateway to Five Fingers for those who might be weirded out by the shoes with the toes (I wear those and love them).

I just ordered this as I've been looking to incorporate more "barefoot" activities to address some postural issues. They are AMAZING!! So comfy and cool looking. I wore them to work and got quite a few compliments on how cool they looked. I would definitely recommend if you're looking for a basic barefoot style shoe.

This is the third pair of furoshiki shoes I've purchased. I love them! I have small feet, usually wear European size 35, and the smallest size 36 fits just fine. Because of the way the shoe wraps there is a lot of flexibility in the size. Wearing these shoes is like going barefoot but with protection. I find them perfectly comfortably to wear all day. Though there is no arch support, it is not the same as wearing hard soled shoes with no arch support. The entire shoe is flexible and allows your foot full natural movement.

Feel wonderful right out of the box. Bought them as extra shoes for extended trip abroad. I needed something lightweight and comfortable. I’ll update review post trip but as of now the shoe is comfortable, very light and has a MOMA look to it.

I wore my last two to death because they fit so well over my fat swollen pregnant feet - I have wide feet and a high arch and I transitioned to barefoot style shoes about 9 years ago. They wore out kinda fast compared to other shoes I got so I declined to spend $100ish on new ones even though I love the look. I had an incentive so I pulled the trigger on buying some new ones, accepting the suggested size by Zappos instead of researching the size I got previously and that was a mistake. Bigger is better! Then you can wear the thickest warmest socks you feel like. The toe piece is stretching and doing a weird uncomfortable thing so I’m kinda bummed I didn’t check my purchase history to confirm the last size I got. Styling is slick though. I bought these to use as a dressy shoe because high heels are less sadistic than foot binding and that’s the best thing I can say about them. So yeah, bigger is better. And you will have the coolest shoes in the room wherever you are.

I’m disappointed in this new version of furoshikis. They are a little small in the toe box. Also I loved all the funky patterns that are no longer available.

OK! I'm really enjoying these. My husband thinks they look weird, but I don't care. I've been wearing them around the house and the cloth "wrap" sections don't put any pressure on my sometimes aching big toe joint. They are very flat; it doesn't happen to bother me. I measured my foot according to directions and ordered a 37 as suggested even though I usually wear a 36 European size and it is perfect. Thank you!

The fit was excellent. i wear a 7.5 to 8/ Ipurhcased an 8. they are good with or without socks. No arch support, but i like flat shoes. Could place a arch support into shoe if it bothered you. You can feel the ground shock when where them, not terrible but noticeable. I wore them for a 16 hour shift as a nurse, and feet did not hurt at end of day. I did feel shorter wearing them...lol.I actually only wore them a few times and each time, had complements on them.

These felt really nice on, like going barefoot, but my feet are wide in the front and they overflowed the foot bed. Also, my toes caught on the solid part of the uppers that are in between the mesh part. I returned them. I don't think a larger size would have helped.

I used wear the old five finger vibrams which I loved and found very comfortable. I had to return the Furoshikis because they felt very constricting - not tight, they fit perfectly. It was almost as if my feet felt claustrophobic in them after an hour or so. (I wore them in the house to test out as I do with all new shoes.). I have boney ankles and the shoe rises high enough to keep rubbing against them. It's a shame because I think they look great.

Seeking a barefoot feel, I was very excited to try these shoes for dance fitness classes. I wore them to one class and found the rubber strip across the toes to be very uncomfortable. The strip covered some of my toes, but slipped on and off others, becoming quite irritating. Without this issue, I think they would kept them.

I ordered these because I expected the sole to have a shape like a healthy bare foot. The sole has a shape like an almond. The top part stretches but the places where the toes would spread to the side of the sole will have no toe cap or sole protection.
