I love love LOVE Vibram FiveFingers - they're basically the only shoes I wear. These particular ones I bought to go hiking and whitewater rafting - and they were great for both! I did have to tighten them down all the way for the rafting but otherwise no issues. My only other grip with FiveFingers shoes are the women's styles are so narrow but they have more fun colors; I've resigned myself to having to buy "men's" shoes from them from now on just so they're wide enough.

It takes a day or so to get it to shape to your feet, and to soften up, since it does stretch some. May not feel right the first day, but needs a little time. I went one size up, as for most five fingers, and it fit very well. I think it is cut a little tight so going up a size is advised. After that, it is perfect for rainy days or in the water, on rocks, has very good traction everywhere. Not the greatest looking, but most practical. The grey is nicer, but did not come in 48, so I got the black 48. Large sizes in five finger shoes are 'very' hard to find for some reason. One would think they would make more 47 and 48, since they sell out fast.

These are ideal beach shoes, perfect for in and out of the water and paddleboarding or kayaking. They are better than sandals for the water and they are quite secure even in the surf. Unlike sandals you can swim in them. The only downside is nobody looks cool in them, so you’ll look like a dork regardless.

Great fit and comfort. These were a replacement pair because the old ones were always left in the back of the truck and the glue holding the sole finally let go. I had the black pair and decided to go with the gray this time. I am completely satisfied with the color. I like the back strap that gives an adjustable snug feel that my previous pair didn't have.

Needed a pair for my vacation in Hawaii. This was the perfect aqua shoes I needed. I'm usually a size 8.5 so I got a 41 and it fits me perfectly. I didn't need too much time adjusting, but I didn't really walk too much in these. Comfortable and the grey looks fantastic in my opinion. Only downside is sad easily gets into these and it's difficult to get them out. Also, shoe doesn't dry too well so if you're wearing them a long time, your feet might start to get all white and pruney. Great shoe would recommend to anyone looking for a aqua shoe.

Years ago I bought an earlier version of the Aqua. Wore them throughout that period (as appropriate to their function) pretty loyally. Finally, it looked like they needed to be replaced. Couldn’t get myself to consider anything else, so ordered a pair. Measured according to chart, received and put them on—LIKE A GLOVE…err or rather toe shoes ;) They are better than expected, and better than my last pair. More comfy than my previous pair. Seem better built so far. More natural feeling. Softer more flexible outsole. Insole feels amazing. Got a gray pair. Attractive for sure, but not a whole lot of color options. Other than that, I only have great things to say. Need to get them wet still, but I expect they’ll do fine, especially with the extra drainage in the sole. 5 stars all around.

This is a classic five fingers design utilizing velcro straps to ensure a precise fit. There's a strip over the top of the foot and one that goes around the heel. I rely on this fit because I use my Five Fingers to run in a swimming pool. The good fit prevents any drag in the water, and the design of the bottom of the show is such that it affords a really strong grasp on the pool floor.

The Five Fingers are a fit in more ways than one. First of all, they fit my sense of style. The unique configuration of the shoe catches people's attention. The reactions I get are a mix of admiration and derision. Which is fine with me, I get the juice from the reaction, whether it's positive or negative. (I had one person tell me they make my feet look like the feet of a gorilla!) They also fit my purpose--I work out in a swimming pool, but running, not swimming. I need a shoe that will not cause any drag on my feet as I move through the water. This shoe is perfect for the pool, the design of the bottom of the shoe gives me traction, another way it fits my need. There was a little hiccup for Zappos when we had trouble getting the item delivered, but to Zappos credit they recovered immediately and sent another shipment. Bravo to Zappos for not letting logistics stand in the way of the delivery!

Runs true to size.

Five Fingers are unique footwear. Because they have toes in the design of the shoe, the fit is super close, it's almost like there's nothing there. I know, couinterintuitive, but there you have it. A great product. I routinely get years of wear out of my Five Fingers.

Had to wait to leave a review until they were truly tested. Just spent a week in Belize kiteboarding, fishing, snorkeling and beach running. These held up great and have gotten more comfortable the more I have worn and broken them in. Because friends have gone through a couple pairs in years past, I am thoughtful to the terrain and recognize they are probably not meant for anything hardcore. They have been great for all the boats I have been on and several runs on the beach at a couple miles each run. I strongly suggest breaking them in before any formal activity by wearing them around the house for a few days.

They were mostly okay. I felt a seam in the big toe that would have rubbed against skin.

The length of the size 47 was perfect for me. But the toe box was putting an uncomfortable squeeze on my right foot especially.

This shoe seems like a goof "five fingered" shoe for a wet environment. The straps are not quite as comfortable as the Vibram FiveFingers KSO, which is my favorite shoe of this type.

With shoes this pliable, wider feet pull the material sideways thereby shortening the shoe. This is probably my sixth pair of five fingers and a given length spec can be very different in "effective" length if you've got (supposedly) wide feet. I say supposedly because D width is actually a fairly narrow shoe and we only think it's medium width because making your feet look narrow has unfortunately been fashionable for centuries. I generally find 47s just right, but I've got a pair of 46 that fit great because they're wider than most and if I'd taken Vibram seriously when then warned that these are only D width, I would surely have ordered 48s. Assuming I could find them, of course. The good news is, because there's front and back straps, I'm getting by because I loosen the back strap and tighten the front one, which pushes my foot back into the uncommonly deep heel.

I loved everything about them EXCEPT the small toe felt like it was being pulled uncomfortably by the small toe "finger". After wearing it around the house for 10 minutes I wanted to take it off and that's a clear signal it will not be good for me. Depends on your toe. Too bad, because I loved the grip and fit otherwise.

I wear size 44EU or 11US. This would have been my 7th pair of Vibram 5 fingers. Sadly, although the overall fit was seemed acceptable, the toes of this particular pair were simply too short to the point of discomfort and eventual pain. Because of this, I had no choice but to return them. :-( As an aside, my son gave me the Merrell All Out Blaze Sieve. They are absolutely fabulous in the water!!!!! :-)
