I had a hard time picking a chukka-style boot and purchased three to try with the intent of returning two. I ordered all three in size 10 and all three felt true to size, though the Redwing has more room in the end and toe box (Which I prefer). Listed in order of preference: 1. Redwing Heritage Weekender Chukka: BY FAR, the most "legit" boot of the three. VERY Well made, sturdy feeling, not particularly comfortable straight out of the box, though I have no worries that this will not break in and be glove-comfortable after some wearing. It is made with thick cowhide with a waxy finish typical of Redwing Boots. Its the only one of the three that I can see wearing out in the woods and cleaning up to wear to work on a casual Friday. I am keeping these boots and know I wont regret it. I will follow up on comfort in 6 months. 2. UGG Dagmann: Hands down the most comfortable of the three straight out of the box. It's also the most "shoe-like" in design and finish - probably the best suited for casual Fridays in a professional work place. I would have kept these if I was in need of that kind of shoe (Boot). 3. Clarks Desert Boot: Beautiful boot - the nicest finish of the three. Problem is it just isn't comfortable. My heel slips substantially on every step and it has no arch support. Beautiful boot, just not for me.

Really like the look and the feel of the shoes but Redwing needs to take a hard look at the quality. These boots don't provide much support and there is a bit of extra space in them, but nothing that can't be remedied with insoles and thicker socks. However, the bigger issue is that the eyelets for the laces have stretched out considerably and I can't tie the boots any tighter. This is really a flaw in the design of the boot. I wear these maybe 2-3 times per month and have owned the boots for less than a year. At this pace they will be trash within another year. I did notice in the Q&A that some models may have metal eyelets. If this is true than Zappos and Redwing should be replacing the boots that some people received with the defective eyelets.

First off, these are not for working in. They are comfort and style. It has a stitch down construction, so probably not easily resoled. The leather is top notch and supple. The insole included is the red wing comfort force, so you have plenty of cushion. For daily wear, these fit the bill. Size down like you would in moc toe or iron rangers.

If the laces are pulled tight, sides almost touch. Looser tying makes everything feel better and sides are 1/2'' apart at top. They seem to be stretching in the right places so far, but if sides touch, it will be 11C and keep 11D for times when extra socks are required.

Excellent boot for everyday wear. For sizing help, I wear a 10.5 Nike sneaker, 9.5 various style Danner boots and an 8 in LL Bean boots. Quick break in and look like they'll age we'll. Well made and better construction than Clark's latest desert boot.

Red Wing Quality. Made in USA!!! Perfect for casual Friday in the office or the job site. Comfortable insole and thick leather upper that molds to your foot instantly. Leather develops a nice patina right away and gives a very unique look. Perfect Fall footwear for yard work or chillin’ by the fire pit.

I’m your standard 10.5 in basically everything I own. 10.5 ASICS, Chippewa boots, and Cole Haan dress shoes. I was told these run big when I ordered my iron rangers a few months back so I ordered a half size down and they fit perfect. I ordered these in a size 10 and they also fit perfect. The leather is thicker than I expected but the sole feels a bit flimsy with little to no arch support. I’m not disappointed as these are a casual boot it’s just that I must be used to how hard and sturdy my iron rangers are. I understand they’re not the same boot and I’m pleased how stylish these are.

Great fit use them for everyday shoes

Look even better in person than online. Fast break in period. Have only had them for a few weeks but happy so far. Not using them in a construction or commercial application, just as a weekend or travel shoe. I did size down to a 12 from my normal 13.

This boot has been a challenge to buy but finally, I received the perfect fit/wear look and style without compromise for a shoe purchased at this price point. Zappos and the Customer support team have been AWESOME!

No support. I went a size up and put in an insole. Still not much support. This is a shoe for style, not for standing / walking / work.

A couple of things - These are very similar in styling to a pair of Clarks Desert boots with a couple of changes. The sole has a pattern / tread. The last pair of clarks I owned had smooth soles which was no fun in the snow. I ordered a half size down and they fit great. I saw a couple reviews here with others saying there are no metal eyelets on these - mine had them on the inside but not on the outside. The minute you put these on and start wearing the leather creases in certain areas and the color in creases changes - this is not a flaw, it's just how the leather is. Almost like a patina effect... Very comfortable! They look good with jeans or chinos. Look to be very durable. I am satisfied with these and hope they last a long time.

I have an iron ranger 9.5 however this boot although I ordered 9.5 , the boot was two finger band longer than I expected it to be , so I ordered another chukka but this time size 9 … in my case it sounded a large extra tow space… but it is an excellent boot and very comfortable … much more comfortable than Iron Ranger… and it felt broken in as I put my feet in it and tried at the house.

Best Chukka’s I have bought. Pricey but no regrets. Great styling. Comfortable. High quality materials.

I ordered a half size up from my iron ranger size like I had read in forums, but had to exchange for the same size.

Hubs loves them! His feet are sensitive and these are very comfortable. Versatile. Worth the price.

Red Wing boots, top quality leather and construction. They look great and no break-in required.

Quality leather like one might expect from Red Wing shoes. I own several pair of Red Wing shoes, but I have to say these are my favorites for smart casual wear.

This is a great shoe that’s designed to break out very quickly and generate creases and where right away. These are casual shoes, no doubt about it. The flexibility and give of the rubber outsole in the breathability and flexibility of the leather upper is simple yet highly functional and very appealing. My recommendation for such leather would be to waterproof it right away and always keep a shoe tree in them to keep them lasting for a very very long time.

Great chukka. I get a lot of compliments. I usually wear size 8 but comments on the internet said i should order a half size down, and they were right. I advise you buy a half size smaller than you usually wear

Had to exchange for a full size down. After that they were perfect.

The materials were great. I wear it as my daily to work and out as casual shoes. However, I noticed after a year the laces are not holding up. Getting frayed. Also, the shoe feels a half size too large. It seems with redwing I'm going down a full size. (Sneakers size 9) but I bought a size 8.5 and it was still too large.

The boots were tight fitting and uncomfortable. Very stiff.
