This is mostly a review on sizing. The boots themselves couldn't be better, broke in quickly and look great. I wear an 8.5 medium width Ariat. My foot is actually an 8 E or EE, but the medium width fits well enough after they are broken in. The Ariats always start a bit tight and uncomfortable till they "pop" and then they fit well and are quite comfortable. These Red Wings are probably a half size bigger, but about the same width. They are just right for wearing with thick socks, which I have done while breaking them in. I'm not sure how well things will work out in the summer, but I teach school, and that was the primary reason for buying them since I'm on my feet and moving all day. I've had them right at a week and already they are much more comfortable for all day wear than my Ariats which aren't really intended for that kind of use.

I am a self employed home inspectors. For 25 years I have only worn Red Wing boots . The two styles that work for me were discontinued . My requirements were a flat sole so I wouldn't tract into clients homes , a crepe sole so I wouldn't slip on asphalt shingles , moisture proof and basically a good quality supportive boot. I tried some cheaper alternatives that just didn't work. Then I found out about Rover. I love these boots ! After I found out how good they were I bought a second pair . That way I can take my time if a pair needs to be properly cleaned and restored. . I normally wear 10 , 9 1/2 fit me perfectly. . These boots are the best yet of any Red Wing boot I've ever worn !

These are my third pair of Red Wings. I have their Urban Chukka and used to have a pair of Iron Rangers, which were chewed to bits by an animal when I left them outside of my back door. Devastating. But as far as the Rover goes - it's got a much wider toe box than Iron Rangers, and because of that it fits larger (for my narrowish foot). I wear a size 9 in tennis shoes, 8-8.5 in dress shoes. I bought the smallest size of these, size 7, and I think I could even go another half-size down if they made them that size. That said, I can lace them up tightly enough to really snug my foot and keep my heel from slipping at all. The break-in has been much quicker than with my Iron Rangers, and they were more comfortable than the chukkas after 3 short days of break-in wearing. Within a week, these things are easy to wear all-day. Aesthetically they are more casual/work boot styled compared to the Iron Rangers, but they go well with jeans and most anything. I think I prefer the Iron Rangers overall in that department, but there's no question that the Rovers are my most comfortable pair of Red Wings - and quickly.

Amazing deal! Scored Red Wings for under $200 delivered. Breaking these in at home and the Amber Harness Leather feels great. I have a number of pairs of Red Wing boots and these are the most comfortable with Cushion Crepe soles. Fit a like my other boots, built on No 8 last. I’m a 13 in sneakers and a 12 in Red Wings.

The boots are great and American made. I waited a while to get a pair of these. Redwing boots are sized differently. Get fitted at a Redwing store or dealer if you can. They needed a slight break in period. They are not as hard as Iron Rangers. A bit over a week now, they feel much better. They will last a longtime. Very happy with this purchase.

The most comfortable pair of boots I've had. Once you break them in they feel like glove and the more you wear them the better they get.

Great boots. I love the lower profile of the Rover compared to others I have for just around town. I will say, they have zero arch support out of the box, and feel a half size big. But I added an insole and they are perfect now. Definitely recommended. Thank you Zappos for enduring my returns to finally find the right pair!

Great item, ordered half size smaller fit perfect

So I ordered a size 7 (box said 7) but then I pulled out the shoes and noticed how big they looked....they were a size 8! So I had to return them. Really weird situation.

Not at all comfortable. You would think for this price they would be.
