Those looking for good arch support - beware. these clogs are not the same as the previous Encores-they no longer have the same insole-less arch support in this new model. I thought I might be imagining it but I called customer service and yes, they changed no longer use the old insole provider...I had to shop around to find another insole..ended up with sofsole. disappointing.

I am very disappointed in the new style. It does not offer the “glove-like” feel of the old style nor does it give the support. As soon as I put them on I could feel the difference. I will be returning them. I am very upset about this since I have been wearing this style for years. I am an RN and am on my feet most of my shift. Now I have to shop around for a new shoe to wear to work.

Why oh why did Merrell change the sizing on this classic shoe??? When I first got it to replace my 10 year old ones, I was estatic and even wrote a great review. Now after wearing them, I can see what others were complaining about--Merrell has made the shoe bigger. After only a few weeks, I am sloshing around in them. Why ruin such a good shoe????

Very disappointed with Merrell. These clogs were a favorite but, like other reviews have said, they have been changed. These are not nearly as comfortable as previous ones I own. I own several pair as well as other Merrell shoes and hiking boots. They used to be my "go to" brand but find it very difficult to justify spending the money now and getting an inferior product.

I've bought these twice. I think I own every color, every design of Merrell's Breeze line. But these...both times the top is too large...too high....won't hold the foot in and the clog becomes a flip-flop. Very, very, very disappointed.

About the only thing I wear anymore are Merrell clogs. Operations on each foot make it almost impossible to have heel enclosed or raised. I love Merrell clogs and I wish they would experiment more with color (I need purple and cardinal red!) and material (suede, different lattice work). Their Encore Vellum was THE BEST and I have no idea why they would not continue the style. The only one with which I have had trouble, repeatedly, has been the "Blue Heaven" --- I've ordered them three times thinking that since I have, like, 20 pairs of Merrell clogs, the fact that the Blue Heaven color does not fit (kind of flip around, heel slides out) baffles me. I almost bought them again today until I checked my orders and see how many times I have tried this color. (Why is the black perfect, but the blue not? AUGH!)

Sadly, I have to agree with the other reviewers that this "is not the same shoe it used to be." My other Merrells are size 9, which is my real shoe size; I ordered a 9 and it was way too big. I returned it for an 8 1/2, and although the length seems okay, the heel portion is very wide and my heel lifts right out of them when I walk, which is what other reviewers have noted. Unfortunately, these also go back.

not sure if design was changed but not very coomfortable

After reading a few of the negative reviews, I started to worry that Merrells which have served me well over many years might have gone off. But I placed the order anyway and hoped. The shoes are perfect - comfortable, good support, excellent fit.

Merrells are made for walking and hiking. For me, they fit true to size. I love the netting material because it allows your feet to breathe! I have 3 pairs of these in different colors and they last. One pair I've had for about 7 years. They keep their shape and dont become soft over the years. Definitley a great shoe.

These shoes are different in fit from ones I have bought in the past. I have had the same shoe twice before and they fit really good and very comfortable. These were very loose and half a size smaller were too tight. I love Merrell, but these did not wrk.

Disappointed. I bought the same style a couple of years ago and they were great. These new ones, however, have no arch support at all.

Have had many of this style and they were wonderful...if this is the "new" design...I will not reorder: no arch support, sloppy manufacturing and just not at all like the previous versions. Must return.

I read the many reviews that said these Merrells have a fit problem at the heel but went ahead and ordered a 9 and a 9.5, hoping one would be all right. Either size might have been okay, but neither hugged at the heel; both became a flip-flop when I walked. In years long past, I had two of this style, then perhaps called Primo or Primo Breeze and probably before this Q2 innovation, and a leather pair, so I know how they should fit. I currently have an old pair of the lined ones that fit right, and compared the back of that old pair and the two pairs I am returning. As the photo shows, the current Merrells, on the right, have at least half an inch less material at the heel; in addition, the material is straight up, not curved in a tiny bit. I'm pretty sure that it is a combination of the curve and higher back that hold this style slip-on in place for most people.

The fit and size were true to size ordered. Lovely color called "aluminum" I wish Merrell would bring back the tan color of a few years ago. I will keep checking.

WHY, OH, WHY, OH Distressed in Ohio that Zappos modified the design of the Encore Breeze from a few years back. My size in latest design is now a SHORTER shoe. 1/2 size up: too big. What up with that? They were my favs, but I have to now eschew the shoe as its design has been given short shrift.

I have been ordering these clogs for 8 years. All I wear. I used to be able to live with 3-4 pairs ordered a year. Now I have to order a pair a month for the support - it sux! The quality has gone downhill! They are no longer made as a comfortable shoe - the support has gone. I am trying desperately to find something I like as much as I used to like these. (Their sandal quality has gone downhill too.)

Merrell keeps messing up this shoe. Decades ago when it first came out, the Encore Breeze was perfect. Toe room, stayed on, easy to wear. Then came the Encore Breeze 2. It was different, but ok. Then the 3.....terrible! Tight, narrow, pointier and hot. And now the Q2. Keeps the narrow front of the 3 but expands the heel so wide that these are like flip flops. They literally make the flip flop noise when I walk. Can't figure out how to keep them on, so back they go. Will try a half size smaller, but I am not confident this will solve the problem. As for sizing, I've worn both 8 and 8.5. in Encore Breeze. These Q2s are 8.5 and are roomy, but I would not call them large......just floppy. I use orthotics and there is room for them.

I don't think I'm going to keep these shoes. I've been wearing the Merrell Breeze Encore Q3 for many years. The Q2 are the only ones available now and the arch support isn't the same as the Q3 had. All my shoes need good arch support. I'm sorry to see that the Q3 version of this shoe is no longer available.

Fit and size are good. I bought the wide and regular widths to make sure one would fit with my bilateral bunions. The regular width was wide enough, so I sent back the wides. They are very comfortable and provide enough arch support for my senior feet. They may not be the most stylish, but I wear them with everything--pants, skirts, and dresses because they are so comfortable. I got the navy blue color (not the black). They were true to my regular size 8.5. I love they quickly slip on and off.

I’ve had several pairs of this exact shoe but this time the right one had a spot in the front that pressed on my toe. Either a defect in the shoe or my one toe grew. I returned them. Zappo’s has made it even easier to return items by e-mailing a code that can be scanned at a UPS store. No need to wait for an return label for those of us without printers. I’m in trouble now. :)

I have these in every color. They are true to size, and have been ever since I started purchasing them over 5 years' ago. They are extremely comfortable, and can be worn with casual clothing, as well as a bit more formal.

This is my third pair of this style. I had used and abused my previous pairs and decided each time to get the same style. This is a tried and true style for me and works for my needs of support and stability as I am somewhat mobility impaired. Please do not change anything on this style and design. It is the best.
