This is my second Brahmin bag and I went with a darker color this time around--just for a change. The first bag has held up so well as a daily purse for 2 and a half years, I finally felt the need for something different. The Graphite color is more of a deep, deep brown than I anticipated, I was hoping for more of a gray tone, and the gold accents are bright but not distastefully gaudy so it's a keeper. It's dark enough to be as versatile as a black purse, but it is not the same old same old. I've spent $$$ on leather purses before, but the crocodile (or alligator?) leather of this brand holds up to wear so beautifully that the cost is manageable. The interior pockets are thoughtfully designed and I love that I have a zipped compartment to hold my car fob as well as a sturdy hook to attach my house keys--I never have to fumble for these items and I never worry where they are. I only change out my daily bag on those special occasions when something smaller is better, but I find I'm always wondering where I can put the essentials and how did they fall out, so the peace of mind the Brahmin bag gives me is priceless. This one is about 3 inches wider and 2 inches taller than my first, so I will use it more for travel and business as it will carry my stuff with style and class. The size makes it a little heavier on my shoulder, to explain my comfort rating, but I find cross body bags don't look good on me. Love it!
