I wear a 31/32 in all my pants. I ordered a Medium and it is way too big in the waist. It fit like a 34. I stitched the waist to make it smaller and now I have a nice but bulge because of the way I stitched it. Definitely try these on if you can before you buy to check sizing. The front pockets could be a little deeper as I would not trust my phone to stay put in them. I love the generously sized zip thigh pocket. The loops for an instep strap are a very nice touch. These pants fit snugly over my TLT7 boots and are awesome for warm spring touring.

Good part of my layering system for bike commuting. Between 60 and 25 degrees, I just wear these over my shorts. Below 25 degrees, I add long underwear.

Absolutely great and comfortable pants, just wish the front pockets were an inch deeper.

Incredibly comfortable pants. They are stretchy and easily allow for all kinds of awkward movements scrambling over rocks and trees. They block the wind very well on mountain tops, but are very lightweight and breathe extremely well. Two things that could be improved are regarding the pockets. The waist pockets are too shallow making me very nervous to carry a cell phone in them. Also, the thigh pocket zipper should go the other way... when hiking through thick forest the zipper gets caught on twigs and the pocket is frequently left wide open.

I am an athletic built 5'9" 232Lbs and hike almost on a weekly basis in the nearby mountains up Quebec City area. My biggest issues with finding the right pants has been they are often too tight around the thighs, too long or baggy around the ankles or too rigid with no give. These pants check perfect across the board, they have just the right amount of stretch, the perfect length and I do not feel like a creepy frenchman who wears those new super tight pants when I wear these since they have just the right amount of room around the thigh. So if you are a guy like me that loves hiking as much as doing squats and deadlifts, these are for you!

I purchased a pair of Ferrosi pants first. I have put about 25+ days in the field, not including just regular wear. They hold up awesome, but they also started pilling and some of the stitching has worn down. Then the next purchase has been the Voodoo. I haven't had as much time in them, but so far they are performing amazing. Hiking through thick bushes and canoeing, I would say they have more durability than the Ferrosi, but less stretch. People have complained about the small pockets, but they are perfect. No issues here. If you want a stretchy Cadillac go with the Ferrosi. If you want a somewhat starchy bulletproof Cadillac, go with the Voodoo. Or just get both!

These are great pants, even if the sizing is a little bit odd. I am 5'7", 147lbs and I got these in a size 30. They are slightly big in the waist and short inseam for my liking. However, it's not so bad that it's a deal breaker. These pants are great when it comes to function! While I haven't put these pants through everything yet, they are very comfortable for hiking and driving. They wick nicely and are slightly tougher than the Ferrosi's. I waded through creeks and these dried very quickly while still hiking. Much cooler than my previous "go/to" hiking pants. I think I need another pair or three as I can see these never coming off, particularly during the shoulder seasons. The only thing that keeps me from giving these pants 5 stars is the sizing.

These are fantastic pants, the wicking properties are spot on and probably as comfortable as you could have made them. These would have been 5 stars if the belt loops were a bit more substantial. Not sure how they will hold up to the wear and tear of a substantial nylon belt. Otherwise, great product.

Find these pants a bit light for bush work in NW BC but they have stood up well. Cut is excellent, like the casual style with technical features. Like the leg zippered pocket. As noted, front pockets are annoyingly shallow.

These are awesome pants. They are not baggy but also not skin tight, just what I was looking for. My only complaint is I bought a size 32 waist and the inseam is more of a 30 instead of the advertised 32, so they are short on me.

I love this pant. It is a great fall/spring weight, and even for milder winter weather with a base layer. Very warm and wind resistant for the weight, with enough air permeability to breathe, and good wicking owing to textured backer. Looks fine to wear around town, or for exercise, yet a great technical pant as well. Very versatile. My only real gripe is that the waistband stretches significantly as you wear them. If you dry them, they shrink back to their original waist, but as you wear them throughout the day, or over several days, the waistband gives at least an inch, and the rest of the pant stretches a little as well. If there is a way to avoid this without using a different fabric (I love this fabric) then it would be a good thing for OR to fix. Until then, keep it in mind when sizing. If they are just tight enough to stay on when you first get in them, you will need belt after wearing them for a day or two. Similarly, if they are tight, you may gain that extra inch you need. Another issue is that the DWR isn't stellar. It isn't amazing to begin with, and wears off fairly quickly compared to some others by more premium brands like Arc'teryx. Maybe OR could use a different treatment, or tweak the fabric slightly, but a better DWR means using a different fabric I would say it isn't worth it, because the feel/weight/warmth/breathability of this fabric is what makes the pant. Just don't count on it for more than a short time in wet conditions without having a shell/pant handy. A cuff cinch would also be nice, as I like that in almost any pant, though it is far from completely necessary. Lastly, I would love OR to begin making this pant in a 35, as I find myself squarely between sizes, with the 34 being a little tight, and 36, after stretching, hanging a bit without a belt. I find the pants to run more or less true to size, perhaps just a little big. Overall I highly recommend. Perhaps my favorite outdoor pant. So comfortable, so functional, and so versatile / could be yoga pants as much as (lighter duty) alpine pants. Just be willing to reapply DWR if you use frequently in the outdoors, and to wear with a belt if they stretch a bit.

I really like these pants and want to love them. I can't because the hand pockets are incredibly shallow. I wouldn't trust even putting chapstick in them without them popping out. Other than that not bad pants.

At first glance I didn't think they would last all of the abuse climbing and hiking would put on them, but I have been pleasantly surprised. Super light and stretchy making it easy to move around in and wear all weekend. The only negatives are that the pockets aren't deep enough and I have to wear a belt with them. Maybe drop a size from what you normally wear (I usually wear a 32, but I think a 30 would fit better). Overall good pair of pants.

I've been climbing in these pants for a few months and they some of the best I've owned. The fit is excellent; articulated knees. low cut waist for a harness, and minimalist design. I wore them up the Grand and thought they were perfect. The eyelet cords aren't functional so I added a set of rivet eye's in the cuff seam. There front zipper is only a single and really could use a double. Beyond that, great pants.

I wore this pant on a multi/day alpine climb in the Alps and was super impressed as to how well they handled all that was thrown at them. Great stretch when on the rock and they shed snow and moisture well. Then when they did get a bit wet they dried out very fast. Great pant for when you don't want to bring much / they can be worn travelling. Zippered pockets add a nice bit of security when in airports etc.

Great for warm alpine routes or long cragging routes. For being so thin these pants hold up great. They move well when climbing and keep me just warm enough. I have been really enjoying them.

These pants are comfortable and stylish. If not for the fact that I bought them specifically to rock climb in, they probably would have gotten 4 stars instead of 3. The pants look good, and they fit comfortably, if a bit loosely, around the hip area. The waist is secured with a snap, and the belt loops are a must for me as my usual 32" waist size seems too large in these pants. The material is thinner than expected. It has a nice stretchy quality to it that moves with you and doesn't restrict movement, but I'm skeptical that this material will hold up over time. The pockets are oddly sized. The hip and butt pockets are too small, almost to the point of being useless. They make you wonder whether it's wise to put your valuable things in them. This isn't a huge deal for me personally since I never climb with anything in my pockets, but if I decided to wear these around town I'd probably opt to put my things somewhere else which is annoying. This is in stark contrast to the right thigh pocket which is huge. A big pocket is always useful, but your outside thigh is a pretty awkward place to store anything sizeable. My biggest gripe with these pants is their length. The "30 inch" inseam manages to wrap itself around the back of my heel. This is compared to several different brand's pants at a 30 inch inseam that all hit my ankle at the perfect spot to not wrap around my heel without rolling them up. With no inclusion of an elastic ankle band or a roll up snap system, these pants are less than ideal to climb in. My only choice is to roll the pants up, and in not too long, unless I roll the pants into capris, the roll unravels itself because there's nothing to secure it in place. I still give these pants an average rating as they will still be perfectly fine for instances where I don't need the absolute most mobility from my clothes. I'm not sure why the inconsistency in length is necessary. I'm disappointed I'll have to hem these to optimize them to me personally.

The material on these pants looked great and the garment seemed well made. However the cut was very strange or off, so that even though the waist size was correct, the fit was uncomfortable and unflattering. So I had to return them. Over $18 in round trip shipping wasted to try on a pair of pants. Do not think I will order from OR again.

Seem to be a great pant but 32 was way too large and 30 too small. Also the pocket(back and front) are very small. The side one is however very large and deep. Great pant if it's fit on you and you don't need the front or the back pocket.

So let me start by saying that I absolutely love the way these pants fit, feel, and look. They are everything I have been looking for in adventure/travel pants. With that said, there is a major manufacturing defect plaguing these pants. The stitching on the back of the pants (i.e. back pockets and crotch area) always comes loose after about 2 or 3 times of wearing the pants. I have replaced new pairs of these pants under warranty 3 times now, and they all had the same stitching defect. The stitching will literally start "peeling" off at the crotch line and rear pockets. Outdoor Research, PLEASE FIX THIS QUALITY ASSURANCE PROBLEM ON THESE PANTS! It's costing me a fortune to keep sending these pants back and ordering new ones. I love the pants, but don't like this major manufacturer's defect.

I have two pair of the Voodoo pants. One in black and one in Charcoal. The black color feels thicker than the Charcoal, I also saw the Fatigue in a local store and it seems to be a thicker fabric as well. It sheds light or short rain showers & snow well, dries quickly. Adding a base layer under these can be comfortable down into 20F depending on base layer thickness, activity level & wind. They aren't too bad in warmer temps, but if it gets over 75 or 80 Or humid they can feel a bit sticky. The fit of the waist is on point with other OR Hiking & climbing pants like the Ferrosi & Equinox (about 3" larger than actual waist measurement - a size 34 fits a 37" waist). The hip & seat area is more profiled than the Ferrosi which is rather straight from the waist through the upper thigh, tapers from seat to knee & is fairly straight to the cuff. As others have mentioned, the inseam length is slightly short compared to the Ferrosi, especially on the smaller sizes. The inseam on a 34 is about 31". The major issues: Pockets The front hand pockets are too shallow by a couple inches & the opening too wide. They can fit a small phone or keys, but that's about it. Then there's the side cargo pocket, it's HUGE, which is nice, but it sits so low anything of weight bangs your knee or IT band when moving. If the entry was an inch or so higher & an inch or so shallower it would be perfect. The stitching Strange needless stitching that runs over necessary length, and appears to only be a fashion design, on the rear pocket & above the side pocket. Along with this is the odd fabric cuts that come together to form the side of the Pant/pocket area. So far that doesn't seem to be an issue with durability, but is kind of odd. Both pair I have the stitching over the side cargo pocket came loose after the first wearing. So far it doesn't seem to be affecting the integrity, but looks horrible & it's either leave a long loose thread or continue to cut the end shorter.

I love these pants! They fit great. They're super light, comfy, breathable and stretchy. Just got back from a big multiday trek in the mountains and these things were fantastic. They moved with me and dried out really quick when we got soaked. Scrambling up and down rock faces all day they show no signs of damage. My only complaint is that the pockets in these things are tiny. The cant fit a phone and I'm worried about change or keys falling out cause they have no depth. So great for hiking but maybe not so much every day life stuff which is too bad. I'll buy more when the pockets get better and I'll wear them everywhere.

Very comfortable pants with great stretch and overall fit is perfect. A lot like the ferosi pants with a bit more weight to them. The biggest issue I have is with the pockets. The hand pockets are way too small, can't even fit a phone in them (the top of my phone sticks out of the top of the pocket). The leg pocket is way too big and stuff gets stuck around the knee area which makes it hard to bend your knees. I ended up sewing half of the leg pocket in order to not lose things deep down in them. For this price you shouldn't have to do that sort of thing. So overall comfortable and great for many activities in life, just hope you're wearing a shirt or jacket with pockets if you tend to carry stuff with you.
