Bought these boots to replace FSN95 - best boots i ever owned. Also tried on the Asolo Equalon. The Drifter was lighter and slightly more flexible and felt more like the FSN95. It performed ok on some light walk/hiking 2-5 miles. However seemed wowfully inadequate to hike on some 8-10 mile out and back in New Hampshire. Did not feel supportive enough, more sneaker like. Also the back end heel cap is already unglued and falling off. Considering returning because ive only donw 3 hikes, and these are expensive boots and should last a long time.

I love this boot! It may be the men's version of a women's boot Asolo discontinued, which I bought religiously, every other year or so--that's how much I wear them. I have problem feet (severe pronation especially on one side), and some days these boots are the only shoe that brings relief. I remove the inner sole and use Good Feet orthotics in them. Highest recommendation.

I believe this boot is an upgrade for the retired Asolo Flame GTX, the fit is perfect for me. Importantly in my case, my must have custom orthotics fit so well in this boot, I could wear this boot all day every day. I have hiked over 1300 trail miles in the Smoky Mts., TN. Mostly wearing Asolo boots. Wore the boots in rain, snow, stream crossings, gravel, dirt and rock trails never had any problem. The boots hold up well and last a long time, always having great support and protection. Well worth the price for sure. I love love love the Asolo Drifter! It took my husband 3 years to talk me into getting a pair of these. I am now on my third pair! They are great! Awesome foot and ankle support, the soft rubber soles grip amazing for hiking over rocks or working on roofs. My husband has worn through a pair a year, for the past decade - he flat wear them out. He always has two pair on hand- a work set for getting dirty and a newer clean set for Sabbath or going out. He looked for a supportive shoe for years and tried on dozens of boots and the Asolo boots are the only shoe he can wear with his orthotic insoles and get proper support. The boot provides enough rigid support for the the insole to work while still being flexible enough to be comfortable. Without these boots, his feet would be miserable. This pair was purchased for my dad, he is 82 and these are his second pair. Oh, i also bought a pair for my 80 year old mother in light blue, two years ago. She loves blue and asked for a pair when she saw my new Light blue pair. These boots give her stability for walking. We all love these boots and highly recommend them for everyone!

I usually don't do many reviews.. unless a product blows me away! These are the most comfortable boots I have put on my feet! When I get a new pair of whatever I usual put them on and then take them off .. these I do not want to take off! The quality is there and I can't wait to torture them... right now I have no doubt they will stand up. Asolo is amazing

This is my third pair of this exact boot. Wore out first pair after several years on the trail and on my farm. Second pair still in great shape, but these boots are so perfect for my feet that I wanted to have an extra pair in case Asolo foolishly drops this model ( seems to be what happens to products I really like). Fit is perfect, rugged and durable, and great looking. I do use my own choice of semi-custom foot beds so I can’t say about Asolo’s foot bed. These boots feel so good on my feet and help my posture so much that I wear them nearly every day, all day. A bit pricey but worth every penny.

Purchased for my son, an avid hiker, he absolutely loves them.

Amazing! Did 28 Miles in Colorado and my feet felt great. Best hiking boots I’ve ever owned.
